Kader Siddiki was a valiant freedom fighter not the Kolkata based freedom fighter. Up until August 1975 he was a hero defined by BAL. He was one of the few who was selected to be the governor by Mujib. Do we have to assume that the notorious Dacoits and blanket thieves were loved by Mujib and were selected to become the governors?

What was the role of Kader Siddki after liberation war in Tangail. In 1971 many notorious Dacoits fought with us against Pakistan army. Many of them went back to their own profession after the war. Those of us who knew Kader Siddiki are aware that he indulged in killing, looting and grabbing peoples property in Tangail. It is for these guys liberation war heroes could not establish their ideals post 1971 .It is for these persons common people got wrong image and got confused.

কৃষক শ্রমিক জনতা লীগের সভাপতি বঙ্গবীর কাদের সিদ্দিকী বলেছেন, আওয়ামী লীগেও যুদ্ধাপরাধী, রাজাকার রয়েছে। আজকের স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী মহিউদ্দিন খান আলমগীর, আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা আশিকুর রহমান প্রমুখ মুক্তিযুদ্ধকালে পাকিস্তান সরকারের প্রতি আনুগত্য দেখিয়ে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন। তারা মুক্তিযুদ্ধবিরোধী। ওই সময় তাদের কাজ ছিল পাকিস্তান রক্ষা করা, আলবদর-রাজাকারদের সংগঠিত করা। নতুন নতুন রাজাকার তৈরি করা। তাই তাদেরও বিচার করতে হবে। তিনি বলেন, পাকিস্তান মনোভাবপন্থী জামায়াতিদের এ দেশে থাকার অধিকার নেই। কাদের সিদ্দিকী গত সোমবার রাতে সিলেট নগরীর একটি হোটেলে সাংবাদিকদের সাথে মতবিনিময়কালে একথা বলেন। কাদের সিদ্দিকী বলেন, চট্টগ্রামের শান্তি কমিটির সভাপতি ফজলুল কাদের চৌধুরীর ছেলে সালাউদ্দিন কাদের চৌধুরীর বিচার হলে, ফরিদপুর শান্তি কমিটির সভাপতি নুরু রাজাকারের ছেলের বিচার কেন হবে না। কাদের সিদ্দিকী শাহবাগের চলমান আন্দোলনের প্রতি সমর্থন ব্যক্ত করে বলেন, এই আন্দোলনকে ঘিরে জনমনে সন্দেহের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। এই আন্দোলনের মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশের গণতন্ত্র হুমকির মুখে- এমন গুজব চারিদিকে ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে।
মতবিনিময়কালে অন্যান্যের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কৃষক শ্রমিক জনতা লীগের মহাসচিব হাবিবুর রহমান বীরপ্রতীক, কেন্দ্রীয় নেতা অ্যাডভোকেট মনমোহন দেবনাথ, সিলেট বিভাগীয় সমন্বয়কারী আব্দুল মালেক প্রমুখ।
