Greater Washington  BNP delegation met with Mr. Anthony Dean Tranchina the Head of Bangladesh Desk at State Department and Mr. Hemant Sharma high ranking offcial of the Bangladesh Desk at the State Department, Washington, D.C this afternoon and discussed ongoing political unrest as well as brutal torture of opposition Chief Wheep Joynal abedian Faruque M,P by some Police officials.BNP delegation led by Greater Washington BNP President and Acting President of USA BNP Sharafat Hussain Babu. BNP delegation informed their views to the state depatment official about new charges against senior BNP leader Tareq Raman as well as the unjust  verdict against  Khaleda Zia's other son Arafat Rahman.
           
State dep[artment officials informed the BNP delegation that , they are closely watching the political unrest caused due to the controvertial constitutional ammendment removing the caretaker provision from the constitution. Among other issues like violation of freedom of expression by the Hasina administration also came to their attention.
State Department officials also expressed their concern about the changing of the caretaker provision from the constitution and Police action against the opposition actovists.
BNP delegation informed the state department officials that, no free and fair  election could be conducted under any politoical government. two more election should be conducted under caretaker administration as declared the Bangladesh Supreme court.
            
BNP delegation also briefed the state Deparment officials that,   the entire administration has been politicized and Hasina adminsistration planning to recruit thousand of party workers as Police officials to influence next Parliamentery election.
Among others Greater Washington BNP leaders Mohiuddin Anwar, Tofayel Ahmed and Liaqat Ali Khan attened the meeting.
