[chottala.com] Engineers, Doctors are corrupted!!! _ Minister Syed Ashraf

Sir dasd asdasd,

You are quite missing the point, quite misunderstanding, and making quite silly talks. The point I mentioned is that the degree of involvement in corruption of the professionals (Sir: do you understand the definition of the professional?) versus the degree of corruption of the politicians of the country.  Bangladesh is a country where most people are corrupted, regardless of the type or trade of work they do.

Can you tell me Sir, why it is happening in Bangladesh so seriously, and not in many countries of the world?

Do you think Bangladesh has no laws, regulations, acts, procedures, or rules to stop corruption?

Do you think that the Bangladeshis are different from the other people of the world and so do corruptions?

Sir: Provide your answers but listen to my explanations below.

Politicians do run the country and professionals do work physically for the country according to the rules, regulations, and the directions that are set and controlled by the politicians. If the politicians were fare and not corrupted, the professionals could not do any corruptions. Bangladesh has almost all laws, rules, and regulations to stop corruptions but the enforcers of these laws, rules, and regulations  are the politicians. Most all the politicians are so corrupted that they intentionally do not enforce those laws, rules, and regulations on them and on the professionals such that they themselves do not get caught; and that is the main reason why Bangladeshis are so corrupted. While the parents are corrupted, how can you expect that the children will be fare? Expecting it is nothing but just nonsense, and I believe you definitely fall in that category, otherwise you would not deliver a non-sensical lecture. You would understand the reason, and would not be so bad mouthed.

Bangladeshis are not at all different from the good people of the other countries of the world.  Thousands of Bangladeshi professionals living and very efficiently working in abroad; who definitely have proven this fact. Tell me Sir, how many politicians went to abroad and proved in the same way as the professionals did? In most countries, Bangladeshi professionals are highly regarded as very high class professionals. How that could happen, Sir, if your bad mouth would stay right?

You are not from BUET and that is why you do not know. When Bangladesh engulfed in corrupted education, even in that time, BUET remained quite out of corruption in education. BUET is still like that and so all board of educations use the BUET model to eradicate educational corruption.  Corruption in the secondary and higher secondary education has gone way down after following BUET.  You must live in the moon and so is so cynical and ill informed.

The truth is when the engineers go out from the University to work place, the environment there created by the politicians of the country infect these engineers. Anyone who wants to resist is dealt with heavy handed by the ones already there. So, either they have to accept for existence or leave, and probably to end up in the abroad.

All other professionals have more or less the same fate. May be little more or little less. Despite all these odds, all professionals are providing al lot of real service for the country. All these buildings, roads, towns, cities, schools, colleges, markets, bridges, and all kinds of physical infrastructure have been built 100 folds since the independence. If professionals would not work, how all these happened? On the other hand, see the political conditions of the country. How many times Bangladesh had military takeovers? Why if politicians were not corrupted and useless bunch of hoarders? Did any political improvements happened since the independence? Will never happen until the politicians do not stop doing corruptions!!! Whereas the politicians of many many countries  of the world can be uncorrupted real politicians for the benefit of the country and people, why bangladeshi politicians can not be so? What are the reasons?

Sir: think about all these and find the real reason. When the water of a well stinks because a cat fell into it and rotten, would taking away all water of the well stop the stink or taking away rotten cat will make water someday stink free? Think please.

It is very very clear that all universities are now the factories of making irresponsible & corrupted educated doctors engineers & other faculty educated graduates,
1) The Teachers are doing nast politics but are not learning for earning update knowledge education to provide the students update knowledge educations, not providing correct lessons & not taking regular classes & examination in time.  The students are getting untimely at lat students back dated knowledge less education for receiving certificates.
After completion their so called study in the university they are not efficient to perform their duty honestly & correctly in their work fields. Only they can know chapabaji works as worthless & nonsense persons & can do works harassing the people for earning illegal money & power.
Accordingly it can be said by Minister Syed Ashraf
that Engineers, Doctors are corrupted!!! _
So the people Tax & Vat payers of Bangladesh are asking Minister Syed Ashraf son /of Syed Nazrul Islam the first acting president of Bangladesh that he must take legal necessary action to do modification in education section in education courses & in education teaching staffs for providing correct update knowledge education to the students to educating them as honest skilled educated doctors, engineers & other faculty graduates so that they can honest efficient work persons in their work fields.

How does he know about the Engineering Universities, Medical Collages and Agricultural Universities to produce educated corrupted engineers, doctors and agriculturists? Did he study in any of the institutions? Does by any means he attached himself with any research work dealing with what institutions make how much corruptions?

For my entire life, I am hearing that the Engineering University is a place of model education. No corruptions did ever touch this institution while many other institutions, even a lot of them surrounding it had a lot of corruptions, either among the students or among the administrations.

Starting from the Pakistan time, years after the years, all kinds of junk politicians, would create their cadres among the students of the Universities and of the colleges, with a view to motivating them to ill purposes, but those screwed up politicians could not touch the grounds of the institutions of real learning such as the Engineering University and Colleges, PG and Medical colleges, and the Agricultural University and the colleges; for a main reason that the highest class students go in those institutions, with a sole ambition of  studying, learning, and for becoming the legitimate future professionals. No one goes there to be politicians.

Anybody please just tell me an absolute truth, who are more corrupted in Bangladesh? The politicians? or the Professionals like engineers, doctors, health professionals,  and agriculturists?

I am not saying that there are no corrupted professionals or there are no honest politicians. All I am saying that if you make a statistical measurement, you will see the statistical curve of the measurement will go in opposite directions for the Bangladeshi professionals and the Bangladeshi politicians.  Thirty years ago or before, people could feel the contributions of the politicians but today people feel that the country will run a lot better without any politicians. Politician are the ones who are spoiling the country by all means. But if you observe for the same period, you will see that Bangladesh could not produce the food for 65 to 70 millions people of the country. A number of people would die by hunger. Today Bangladesh is feeding 150 million people with a lot more and lot better food supply. Who made this to happen? Politicians or the agriculturists, engineers, and professionals of the host of disciplines? Thirty years ago, people would left and right immaturely, child and mother mortality was at the peak. Today all kinds of mortalities due to disease and disadvantage have reduced drastically. Who made it happen? The politicians or the doctors, health professionals, and health researchers? Thirty years ago or before, how many buildings were there to live or work, and how many roads were there to drive? How many today? Were all those built just by the politicians? Engineers, designers, constructors, mentors etc. all worked hard to make all these happen.

If all professionals were only corrupted, then how all these achievements happened? Please provide the information about how much political achievements have happened in last several decades?

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Greetings from the heart of Bangladesh.

We are shocked after reading the news on The Daily Amardesh. Please find the link below,

http://www.amardeshbd.com/dailynews/detail_newsindex.php? NewsID=224112&NewsType=bistarito&SectionID=home

According to the news, LGRD minister Syed Ashraful Islam has made comments that Engineering Universities, Medical Collages and Agricultural Universities produces educated corrupted engineers, doctors and agriculturist.

Are we really non-sense? We all know who pressurize, order, control and collect money through engineers, doctors and agriculturist?

The answer is very easy most of them are the backbencher ministers, MPs, businessmen, contractors, political leaders etc. I am 100% sure if Honorable Minister wants LGRD ministry will be less corrupted ministry of BD Gov within next 5 years.

In Bangladesh, the most meritorious students, the proud of nation study Engineering, Medical Science and General Sciences in Engineering Universities, Medical Collages, DU, JU, CU, RU, KU, SUST etc. But relatively less meritorious students i.e. UNO, DC, OC, SP, Secretary and officers of administration, police etc has been enjoying enormous power and wealth than those bright students of nation. How farce! How stupidity!!

Hope, honorable Minister will think about the comments again and will find out the real causes of corruption.

Thanks & regards,

Engr. Mosharraf H. Khan

RE: [chottala.com] Engineers, Doctors are corrupted!!! _ Minister Syed Ashraf

Dear Mr. K. Raisuddin,

Brilliant students are getting chance to study in Medical and Engineering sciences. Those who are back benchers in school and colleges later on always brought up as vagabond in the street behind some political group. In this way for many years moving in the street with 'Logi Baita' and luckily if come across in the good book of some politician may rise up slowly as political figure. May be sometimes if luck favours may have a chance to be a minister as it happened to him.  How it will be possible for him to get a slightest idea  about education in Medical and Engineering sciences. To utter such irresponsible talk about Doctors and Engineers may be out of his knowledge. May be he is educated  in other line and thinking everybody in the same category.

Dowllah.

[chottala.com] Govt. inert over claim on Continental Shelf

Bangladesh must act on this issue as early and as wisely as possible. Future of Bangladesh lies heavily on the new land rise (Char) from the coast towards inside the Bay of Bengal. The silts born by the rivers are creating these chars. If Bangladesh can not have enough nautical miles inside the sea, some of these chars in future will be with either India, or with Myanmar. The other problem is cyclone prevention infrastructure. The technologies are emerging to set equipment and structures on the paths of the cyclones to prevent or disrupt its organized motion. If Bangladesh does not have enough nautical miles right in the Bay of Bengal, taking the measures for the cyclone prevention won't be possible. India or Myanmar won't do anything to protect Bangladesh from the disasters of cyclone, if Bangladesh does not try by self.

Not having enough nautical miles of right for Bangladesh will be a huge big problem. So, the Government and people of Bangladesh must be together on this issue and try to push forward all possible measures to get the right to have several hundred nautical miles of right to use the sea from the coast of Bangladesh.

Govt. inert over claim on Continental Shelf

Moinuddin Naser in New York

Though little time is left, the Government is still in slumber and lamentably lagging behind its next-door neighbours in acting on the crucial matter of placing Dhaka's claim to the appropriate authority on her right over the economic zone in the Bay of Bengal. For Dhaka to do this, only about two months are left. Shouldn't the Foreign Office have been up and doing by now regarding this vital matter and held a grand national conference of major political leaders, eminent economists, scholars, geographers and so on?
Although Bangladesh will have to submit its claim on continental shelf by July 27, 2011, but prior to that she will have to dispute the claims of India and Myanmar before the 24th session of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf this year.

Already India, Myanmar and Sri Lanka have submitted their claim on the Continental Shelf to extend their economic sovereignty on the Bay of Bengal as per Article 76, Part VI of the Law of the Sea Convention. India and Myanmar both have submitted their claim beyond 200 nautical miles (NM) as per provisions.

Myanmar updated the claim on April 30, 2009, while India submitted the claim on May 12, 2009 and Sri Lanka submitted the claim on May 8, 2009. Bangladesh will have to submit its claim or dispute, if any, by August before the beginning of the 24th session of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf to be held in New York from August 10 to September 11, 2009.

   India, Myanmar against Bangladesh
It is gathered that India and Myanmar have articulated a joint strategy to claim their extended continental shelf over Bay of Bengal so that they can preempt Bangladesh's right over the Bay of Bengal. In fact the Indian institutes helped Myanmar to prepare its claim.

Surprisingly, Myanmar did not seek help from any Chinese institute to prepare the claim this time! Knowledgeable source said Myanmar and India both have got together to establish their extended rights over the Bay of Bengal, while both the countries opposed Bangladesh's move to lease out the blocks in Bay of Bengal for exploration of oil to the foreign companies.

   No paper yet from Dhaka
Bangladesh will have to submit its claim on continental shelf by July 27, 2011. But it will have to dispute the claims of India and Myanmar before the 24th session of the commission this year.

According to the diplomatic circle in New York, Bangladesh is yet to prepare any paper or report disputing the claimed Continental Shelf by India or Myanmar encroaching the vital economic zone of Bangladesh.
Myanmar has made its claim ahead of deadline until May 21, 2009 for submission of its claim, but it submitted ahead of the date. Again, India had time up to June 29, but she has already submitted its claim.

   Myanmar claimed in 2008
Myanmar had submitted its claim first on December 16, 2008, which was later updated on April 30, 2009 and now waiting for discussioin the claim in the provisional agenda of the 24th session of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf.

In the introduction to its submission Myanmar stated that this claim is made "to the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf (CLCS) pursuant to Article 76, paragraph 8 of the Convention in respect of the establishment of the outer limits of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles (M) from the baselines from which the breadth of the territorial sea of Myanmar is measured."

   200 nautical miles
It clearly said: "Myanmar is making its submission for extension of its continental shelf in the Bay of Bengal, off Rakhine, and referred to as Rakhine Continental Shelf, beyond 200 nautical miles." The country has collected geophysical data from large area for preparation of the submission.
Beyond 200 nautical miles, Yangon will claim at least 60 more nautical miles to satisfy its acquired morphological, geological and tectonic aspects of the data collected from the Bay.

The Goa-based National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) of India which led the Indian side for preparation of the claim, was also engaged for quality control purpose of the Myanmar claim, while National Geophysical research Institute (NGRI) of India helped Myanmar for seismic Data processing and interpretation. Dr N.K Thakur, another consultant, who was former member of the Commission, interpreted acquired geophysical data. Besides, many other institutes of Myanmar were involved..

   Continental Shelf
India took nine years to finalize its claim on continental shelf, while the Goa-based national Centre for Antarctica and Ocean Research led eight organizations to collect data and process them to prepare the report. The Indian report has extended its sovereignty beyond 200 nautical miles and within 350 nautical from the baseline. In fact India completed its preparation for this submission at list six months ago and that was passed through different stakeholder ministries to obtain their consent.

According to sources, different studies have so far been collected over seven to eight terabytes of data after surveying the Indian marine area divided into lines totalling 30,000 km. The demarcation of the continental shelf was based on Article 76 of the Part VI of the "Law of the Sea Convention" which also includes determination of water depth, sedimentary rock thickness and precise mapping of the foot of the continental slope.

   Serious Indo-Bangla dispute

India shares maritime boundaries with Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Among them Myanmar, Bangladesh and Srilanka have water territory in the Bay of Bengal.
India has already negotiated a deal with Myanamar and Sri Lanka, while it has got serious dispute with Bangladesh.

Claiming the continental shelf 'baseline' of the coast is very important. That means from which point the 200 nautical miles will be measured.
Bangladesh coastline is very unstable. So Bangladesh demarcated its baseline from a distance of 10 fathom from the shore, which was disputed by both India and Myanmar.

Delhi claims up to 350 NM
Now India is claiming up to 350 nautical miles (NM) from its baseline invoking Article 76 clause V, VI, VII and VIII as continental shelf. This is beyond 200 NM, of the normal territory. If Myanmar extends 60 NM beyond 200 nautical miles and India extends up to 350 nautical miles, the curved coast line may stop Bangladesh to get her outlet.

Sri Lanka also has submitted its claim on the southern part of the Bay of Bengal beyond 200 nautical miles, while the Indian line has passed with short distance of less than 24 nautical miles and as such India has already proposed a 'separate agreement' on this issue with Sri Lanka. In fact in terms of establishing claim on the Bay of Bengal Bangladesh has become isolated.
Bangladesh has to resolve the issue on priority basis.

[ Nokia Club Bangladesh ] FW: [WideMinds] Re: What Differentiates Islam from other faiths?

I believe it would not be out of context to say that all religions, did not suddenly sprang up in one day or in one night. Rather, evolved over time. And all religions are nothing but certain society's human administrative tools. Sustenance of human society must be the underlying thoughts of all religions. However, all of them have been framed out of contemporary knowledge and spirituality of the times when each one of them took their physical shape. So, you will see middle-eastern thoughts and life-style in Judaism, Christianity, and in Islam; and all their off-shoots. In hinduism the thoughts and reflections are the nature and in confusiusm and shintuism, the underlying thoughts and reflections are the individual protections and rising above the societal ills. Buddhism extremely respects all lives and leads to achieve Nirvana (ultimate human happiness). Still today in the  middle-east, daughters are sold for money as bride to anybody who can pay the most, regardless of age or having 3 existing wives. Even though they are lot better today, they all culturally always have two dreams, fulus (money) and unsa (women). It is in their blood. For thousands of years they used to be married to the first cousins (when parents could not sell the daughters with more money outside). This custom made the girls as the goods and cousins produced low IQ children for thousands of years. So, their religious basis and social customs all are driven by the greeds of money, women, fruit, and scarce river water. Their absolute dream is money and women in this world and women, fruit and river in the Jannat in the hereafter. So, their religions have been shaped that way. Every other religions have their own reasons to be observed and/or practiced based on social norms.

But every religion makes one mistake, which is the belief of the SOUL. No living beings, including the human beings, have any souls. It is a misconception. All bodies become living by the body itself. Life is a combined function of all components of the body in a coordinated fashion. So, it would be really practical for all human-beings to accept the reality, avoid misguided and unfounded religious beliefs. Promote humanity and let all humans do good, get happiness, and peace of mind.

Subject: [WideMinds] Re: What Differentiates Islam from other faiths?

Sorry you have been pained but exactly how are things "misrepresented, mistranslated and twisted out of context". Please give an example to substantiate each of these accusations as right now they seem to be empty claims.
