I would like ask few questions, and provide some probable justifications:
(1) Who has the right to be the in-charge of the religion? I believe, no one. People get the religion from the birth, from the status of the parent. For example, out of 15 crore people of Bangladesh, at least 14.5 crore are muslims. How they became muslim? By conversion? by tabligh? by the fatwas of the mullahs? No. All of these people are muslims because they are given birth by the muslim parents. Parents raise them as muslims until they are adult. When they are adult, they have every right to be a devout muslim, a moderate muslim, a lightly practicing muslims, a non-practicing muslims, an atheist muslim, or become a non-muslim, whatever someone likes when someone is an adult and decide the own fate by the self. Bangladesh has been created as a secular country. Its constitution fully supports secularism; where someone will do or do not do religion on totally free will. No one has any right to say anything. Question of religious demonstration is totally illegal by the constitution of Bangladesh. So, these radical religious people and their madrasa student supporters are violating the constitution of the country. Bangladesh Government should deal with them legally, rather than yielding to their heinous, inhuman, unconstitutional, and illegal pressures. They must go through due legal procedures.
(2) Where in islam it has been prescribed that any structures could be built as the symbol of Hajj? No where it is available. These band of ultra islamic religion hijackers like the ones got developed in Afghanistan, NW frontier of Pakistan, Sudan, etc., these radicals are doing inhuman atrocities on general public, whoever does not take them as the masters. These so called master like mastans and armed gangs and hoodlums are killing, raping, beating, robbing, dismembering, and enslaving the unarmed regular people. Their kins did worst the atrocities in the the East Pakistan (now bangladesh) by the name of ISLAM. They will repeat this again as soon as they get any opportunities.
(3) What the general peace loving public should do in this situation? All general peace loving moderate public must be vigilant againt this evil force. The public should not provide any assistance, food, shelters, or any justifications in the support of these radical islamists. ISLAM means PEACE, not VIOLANCE. Anyone who wants to do violance, must be stopped by all costs. Otherwise, the future of the country will be extremely bleak. Please learn from what happened in Afghanistan. We must not let our country be unstable. Law and order, peace and harmony, be able to earn bread for the family, be able to provide roof on the heads of the family members, be able to get treatment while sick, be able to send kids to schools, etc. shall be the main focus of all people; as opposed to support or join the inhuman gangs by the name of religion, just the bring uncertainty on the luck of everyone in the country.
(4) Why these people do islamic radicalism? There is no place of radicalism in real islam. ISLAM is for PEACE not for RADICALISM. However, during the last century, Wahhabism emerged in Saudi Arabia as the extreme radicalism and even though they do thosands of non-islamic acts, they took islam as the shelter. Over time, similar gangstar-ism started in the different countries of the unstable middle east such as Muslim Brotherhood, Black Jackel, Tahrir etc. Oil rich arabs financed them heavily. Ultimately, they landed to Afghanistan and Pakistan where Al-Qaida and Taliban groups became stronger and stronger. Pakistan did favor to all of them. ISI of Pakistan is the worst intelligence to provide helps to all these violent groups; parhaps with a view to concurring the world. Radical muslims from all over the world got attracted by these violent groups. There are a number from Bangladesh too (please don't be surprised). These vaterans are now trying to control Bangladesh, establishing the islamic Khilapath, and ruling in the style of Taliban. Please be aware of them and and save the country from the grips of the radicals. Believe me, life will be hell for all of us, except some hoodlums, if the country has to face that dark situation.
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
KR

What happened last week should not come as a surprise. Those who
opposed the Liberation War in 1971 under the leadership of Jamaat
Leader Gulam Azam never accepted the reality of Bangladesh and the
defeat of their mentor the Pakistan Military. They were waiting in
the wings to bare their fangs and crush the spirit of liberation
war. In 1975 they began the process by killing Bangobondhu and the
the great leader Tajuddin Ahmed who gave us leadership in 1971 to
free our motherland. Since then these collaborators of Pakistan
Military and perpetrators of the 1971 Genocide have been quietly
organizing themselves to take over the state power. In 2001 they
came to power as partner of the BNP and managed to infiltrate in
important positions. Today they are very strong and can dare to
challenge the state and force them to do things which are against
the spirit of our liberation war. The destruction of statues is just
the beginning of a new phase and I hear warning signs all around me
to be prepared for dark days ahead.

> Dear Members:I suppose the world today is in the grip of bigoted
hegemony of the worst kind. In our little Bangladesh we are no
exception. Recently, our government had taken a decision to put up
an imposing structure of massive size at the exit point from the
Dhaka International Airport. One of our most talented young
sculptors was awarded the job through an open competition. His
design had incorporated figures of 4 'Bauls', the sufistic singers
of the kind of the late Lalan Shai, our foremost devotional singer
of the 19th century. The idea was to greet foreigners arriving in
our capital with a specimen of our non-communal cultural value as
was enunciated by Lalan. But, lo and behold, when the structure was
almost complete, it had to be removed at the behest of a
demonstration by a few so-called custodians of Islam, ostensibly,
the students of a qaumi madrasa. The people had no say, they were
not against it but our government yielded to the pressure. Now

It seems incredibly, presumptiously close to paternalism to me for Westerners to sit here and assume that everyone wants to live like them, in full contradiction of George Obama's own words. Poor little third-worlder, doesn't know what he really wants as well as you do?
Mac, NY,
Keep in mind that when Westerners insisted that the Inuit start living in "modern" style housing, they all started getting horribly sick on what we call the common cold, thanks to "modern" heating systems that circulated air poorly.
Mac, NY,
George Obama doesn't want his poverty to harm his brother. But he obviously is living in miserable conditions, and Barack Obama preached that the "greatest Moral Failing of America" is that the rest of us do not act as "our brother's keeper." What example does Barack Obama set? There's no excuse!
Steve, Boston, USA
I am appalled at the right wing radio hosts particularly Shawn Hannity who try to assassinate Sen Obama's character in regards to his half brother without reporting the details of the situation. Mr. Hannity conveniently omitted this fact which totally explains the Sen Obama's position.

People forget the complexity of extended families,as compared to nucleus one's,which are common to life in the western developed world". In extended one's,with numerous siblings every one is expected to fend for themselves & hand out the excess to the siblings, if they ever ask!
Louis, Beijing,
It's heart breaking to see this poor man , BHO brother living in such condition in a hut with no door except for some cloth over the doorway. Eating food that BHO would vomit just by looking at it.
I hope BHO immediately move his brother from that hut and send him an allowance. Oprah help him.
Doris, Fort Lee, New Jersey
Mary, ask Cindy McCain's denied half-sister about compassion. And doesn't McCain have a dozen houses and about $36 million to Barack's $4 milliion? Who's really elitist?
Nadine, Farmington,
You can only help people who want to be helped and if George wishes to retain his independence and pull himself up by hiw OWN bootstraps then more power to him. Mind your own business! I am sure if he wanted help all he has to do is ask - but not everyone is out with a begging bowl - GO George.
Susan, Dallas, USA
So...Obama is solely responsible for a half-brother who wasn't even born until he was over 30 years old, who he's only seen twice in his life, who lives in a different continent, and who, as stated in THIS article, feels safe and secure. Shame on you McCainites! Even the mafia doesn't attack family.
Kbob, New York, USA
This total disregard of his brother only further proves his 'elitist" status. How can Obama have compassion for the "poor working folks" when he has such apathy towards his brother? But what else would your expect from one who has no compassion for an infant. He isn't what he tries to appear to be.
Mary, Jacksonville, Arkansas, US
Scary indeed how the American process of "electing" a President has become.
The problem is the questionable background of Senator Obama who could not pass eligibility for a security clearance if one is to believe the rhetoric.
The PM is "elected" by a safer process.
Payne, Honolulu, USA
I so agree with Dr. Alinta!! How can that man pretend to care about complete strangers', fellow Americans' well-being when he cares not a whit that his half-brother, or indeed own grand-mother, are living in slums below the poverty line. Gave her posters of him, I read somewhere.Ha!!!
elizabeth schumann, Paris, France
It is normal that people will want to know how Obama is taking care of his family, afterll they say charity begins from home. No matter how far removed Obama may think that George is from him, the truth is that they are still blood brothers. If you want to rule the world, start from home.
