[chottala.com] Its not upto the ladies, if we are talking about constructive matters

Its not upto the ladies, if we are talking about constructive matters
Few weeks back we wrote another article with a similar title. This is a followup.

In another article, we said that "It is upto the people who want to take control of their own destiny." It never was upto the ladies, it never is upto the ladies. For details, see this link:
http://bdnokia.blogspot.com/2008/10/nokia-club-bangladesh-its-not-upto.html

Someone reminded that we were wrong. They were saying that it is still upto the ladies.

Yes, we stand corrected. It is still upto the two ladies when it comes to the destruction of Bangladesh.

However, if you are interested about constructive matters like development, education, business, sports - then it is not upto the ladies. It is upto the general people whether they want those. When majority of people will want those, they will act. We will be there beside people then, as we are now. May be we will be much more forcefully then, compared to what we are now!

Could we be wrong? Yes, we could. Only if they started to compete positively - as forcefully as they do on non-sensical matters!

If you thought some of the ideas are worth of your reading time, please forward it to others. If you have an ear to the columnists in regular traditional media, please forward it to them. If you have an ear to the journalists and news editors of the electronic media, discuss it with them. Hope they would look at the suggestions and give due diligence.

Thanks for your time,

[chottala.com] Re: [reform-bd] Re: [notun_bangladesh] Bangladeshi 2001 general election results

Mr. Mohiuddin Anwar

A picture says more than thousand words.
The picture should have told you about my impression of
Ershad [most trusted Saudi operative in Bangladesh]:

Ershad in noose

A BIsshbehawa ? Yes !

But the problem is, this guy still has political maneuverability in
Bangladesh with undercover international support !
It is a sad story: Jatiya Party (Ershad) received 4,023,962 of
popular votes in 2001 election [ 7.22 % of the popular votes cast]
compared to Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh  who received 2,385,361
[4.28 % of the popular votes cast]. Both Ershad's Jatiyo Party and
Nizami's Bangladesh Jamaate Islami has become the power brokers......

It is very diplorable to notice that in Bangladesh politics, the
power-mongering has become the rule of the game, and the top-priority.
The ideology, programs, economic development, social reform, and the
welfare of the ordinary people has become the least priority.

Political opportunism combined with shamelessness has become the norm in Bangladesh [as matter of fact, in  today's  world!!!]

Mr. Aslam,

In politics everything is possible. This time well known  Bisshabehawa became JonoNetris ally and will share power with BAl if they win the election. But If they are defeated by other alliance what's your opinion about BIsshbehawa ? Do you think Bisshabehawa should be unitedly fight the next election with BAL(Bangladesh Awami League)? Recenly Bisshbehawa's smiling photo with jononetri published by media.

Bisshbehawa's shesh khawesh ki pura hobe ?

Sincerely,

[chottala.com] Re: [khabor.com] Israel says will boycott U.N. forum on racism

WHAT ELSE THEY CAN DO ????????? THEIR HANDS ARE FULL OF BLOOD AND THEIR MOUTH IS DIRTY WHICH STINKS ?????

Israel says will boycott U.N. forum on racism
1 hr 43 mins ago
JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said on Wednesday that Israel had made a final decision not to participate in a U.N. forum on racism and urged other countries to boycott what she termed an "anti-Israel tribunal."
The United Nations said it regretted the decision.
The World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, to be held in Geneva in April, is a follow-up to a 2001 summit in Durban, South Africa on the same issues.
Israel and the United States walked out of the first conference in protest over draft texts branding Israel as a racist and apartheid state -- language that was later dropped.
In a speech to visiting U.S. Jewish leaders, Livni said she announced last February that Israel would not participate in the 2009 meeting unless it was clear it would not be used "as a platform for further anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic" activity.
She said documents prepared for next year's forum showed it was "turning once again into an anti-Israeli tribunal, singling out and delegitimizing the State of Israel."
As a result, she said: "I decided that Israel will not participate and will not legitimize the Durban-2 conference."
"We call upon the international community not to participate in this conference, which seeks to legitimize hatred and extremism under the banner of the fight against racism," Livni added.
In August, officials from 21 African countries held talks ahead of the Geneva conference and adopted a text which recommended it discuss, among other issues, "the plight of the Palestinian people under foreign occupations."
Canada has said it will not take part in the Geneva meeting. The United States, Britain, the Netherlands and France have said they may stay away if Israel's relations with Palestinians stands to eclipse all else.
Some countries are also concerned that some Middle Eastern states will try to use the conference to push a declaration that could stifle free expression by labeling criticism of religions as defamatory.
The office of U.N. human rights commissioner Navi Pillay said it regretted Israel's decision.
"Given the critical importance of the issues under discussion at the conference, broad participation is essential," U.N. spokeswoman Marie Okabe said in New York, speaking for the Geneva-based office.
"These ... are issues which affect all countries and millions of individuals around the world on a daily basis."
