  What I would do ?

I would do, must do some things  so that running my party become easy.

Make one rule that would make running party easy,  ensure less time  required to manage conflict in the party. Would make this rule so that  controlling the party become much easier.  This rule would  not only  make running the party easy but also  runnuing the govt easy and would prevent  loosing party's popularity  in great extent  when party is in power.

For rest

Re: [chottala.com] Two interesting and informative articles

Suhrowarthy's Poisonous Culture of Populist Notority Continues
Abid Bahar

The notority of Suhrowarthy, (the then premier of Bengal) in his role in the bloody Hindu Muslim riot in Calcutta had far reaching effect down the road to the division of Bengal followed by the disintegration of Pakistan and now the destructive culture of Hasina AL's cadre politics in Bangladesh continues. Suhrowarthy was populist fascist leader. He was from a decaying Muslim aristocracy and was as if like the late Bhutto of Pakistan. Suhrowarthy talked about democracy but personally was a fascist leader. While in Calcutta, Suhrowarthy created enemies; most of them were Hindus. Several times he was about to be killed by Hindu assasins. For his personal safety, he needed a strong body guard, cadre, he hired Mujib for the job.
It was also Suhrowarthy who helped Jinnah to remove the Lahore resolutions "states" into a "state" at the Delhi conference that denied Bengalis autonomy demand.
Kicked out by Jinnah, Suhrowarthy now joins Sharat Bose to create a united Bengal. The power hungry leader who was not a Bengali himself was also the initiator of the failed Bengali Hindu-Muslim unity. Surprisingly, he wanted to be the founder of a united Bengal but Hindus couldn't forget Suhrowarthy's irresponsible behavior in the Calcutta Hindu-Muslim riot when he was the premier of Bengal. however, despite the sincere effort by Muslim leadership under Suhrowarthy, Muslims couldn't stop the subsequent division of Bengal that took effect in 1947 partion.
After 1947 Suhrowarthy, the populist leader could neither stay in India nor was welcomed in Pakistan but reluctantly came back to the then East Pakistan and under the Shadow of Bhasani began his political career in the Awami League. To satisfy Bhasani it was recorded that Suhrowarthy even personally looked after Bhasani's well beings. Suhrowarthy eventually replaced Bhasani and became the President of Awami League and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. During his premiership, he passed a law by which the state was allowed to use drugs to deal with dangerous enemies of state. Subsequently, Suhrowarthy became the victim of his own dids. Pakistani authorities during Ayub Khan used drugs to poison him which led to his death in Bairut
Taking advange of Suhrowarthy's anti Jinnah stand, during Pakistan time, the half-hearted Indian Bengali Hindus mostly the supporters of the Nehru's India doctrine began a new pro-Indian thread in East Bengal politics, in the name of being the one Bengali heart they inspired East Bengalis under Suhrowarthy to fight for anti Pakistan movement. Subsequently Mujib following this thread became the leader of the Bengali movement.
During all these years Fazlul Quader Chowdhury (FQC) remained loyal to Muslim League ideology. Suhrowarthy and Mujib continued to be the leaders of the Awami League, Suhrowarthy was for limited autonomy,Mujib was in favor of full autonomy upto confederation, Fazlul Quader Chowdhury was in favor of transferring power to Mujib but remained loyal to Pakistan. On March 25th's Kamal Hossain's much expected call from Yahya Khan never came, but Mujib and Kamal Hossain were arrested and taken to Pakistan; it was then Mujib's civil war after the 25th March led by other leaders turned into the liberation war. During the time of extreme confusion of civil war when the leader Mujib didn't clearly declare the independence, like many Bengalis Fazlul Quader also remained  committed to Pakistan.
In this unfolding of the drama, FQC was already condemned during Pakistan time by some narrow spirited Bengali leaders for helping Chittagong to get its due, the University and the Marine academy. Ofcourse after the liberation he was condemned further to be thrown into the dustbin of history. It is commonly held that FQC ( a healthy man at the time of M.A. Aziz's janaza ) was poisoned to death by his seemingly great political colleague Mujib's administration.
Mujib was a kind person only to his cadres. As a cadre himself, he took his opponents seriously. We know he was stern and he was first recruted by Suhrowarthy as a body guard, then an assistant, then he became a demague leader, in Pakistan an absentee leader, then on his return became the supreme leader of Bangladesh in whose tenure in office he killed over 30,000 of the opposition members, banned opposition newspapers, and established a one party dictatorship. This populist leader, the follower of Suhrowarthy was killed by freedom fighters for betraying with the nation.

Hasina, Mujib's pathological lier daughter is selling the nation with the help of some half-hearted Bengalis like Pronob Mukharjees is following her father's thread. Unfortunately Hasina also constitutionally reenected the dictator Mujib, the follower of Suhrowarthy as the father of the nation of Bangladesh, and in this FQC and his family members are forced to stay where they were thrown.
True, in this crual twist and turns of history, as if at the time of the big bang when matter and anti matter elements were together to destroy each other, here Bangladesh after 1971 came into existance as a matter, a solid state met Mujib, the opportunist leader who first surrendered to the Pakistani military and on his return became a destroyer of the state (caused the nation into a  bottomless basket case) now as a father of the nation, the founder of the BKSAL/ Mujib cult of cadre politics destroying the state; Suhrowarthy's populist political culture of notority through Mujib and Hasina's cadre politics continue to destroy the nation of Bangladesh.
God save Bangladesh!

Dear Sir,

I want to add something. You nicely corrected the reminiscence of Mr. Abid Bahar. He deserves thanks for presenting exemplary past before posterity. However, Professor Abdur Noor in his article published in Amardesh (link given below) mentioned cordial relation of Fazlul Quader Chowdhury and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman apart from their political affiliation in 1960s and '70s, even though their relation was built up during late 1930s and '40s at the then Calcutta when Fazlul Quadir  was (studying degree class at Presidency College living at Carmichael Hostel) General Secretary of All India Muslim Students' Federation and Sheikh Mujib was a rising student leader, studying  I.A. at Calcutta Islamia College living at Bekar Hostel and both  were in the same platform for struggle against the British regime and for emancipation of the downtrodden Muslims of the Sub-continent.

The momentous event of meeting of two leader of two axis at the Namaje Jainaja of veteran leader of Chittagong M.A. Aziz reminds some legendary tale of the contemporary political scenario of Chittagong in the the then British- Pak period.

As gathered from the witnesses of that age, M.A. Aziz and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury were two best followers, comrades and associates of Fazlul Quader Chowdhury when he started his pre and post independence political era (1946-47)  in Chittagong being General Secretary of Chittagong District Muslim League and later being the Chairman of Chittagong District Board (in 1949). Nothing could have done or happened in the political arena of Fazlul Quader without his two valiant comrades- right and left hands- M.A. Aziz and Zahur Ahmed until late '60s when they had joined Awami League under leadership of Bangabandhu. In the mid 1950s, M.A. Aziz was under vehement physical attack by opposition and nearing death at Chittagong Halishahar while he was leading a precession in support of Fazlul Quader.Hearing the news, Fazlul Quader rushed to the spot and recovered his comrade from the jaw of death.

As told by contemporaries and surviving family member, though Fazlul Quader was heading Convention Muslim League, he had liaison with Sheikh Mujib even after massive victory of Awami League in general election of 1970. When Yahya and Bhutto were dillydallying to hand over power to majority party of the then East Pakistan, Fazlul Quader met Bangabandhu on or around 15 March 1971 at 32, Dhanmandi to give some focuses in dealing with Bhutto-Yahya.On 16 March Fazlul Quader made a statement urging hand over of power to majority party leader Bangabandhu. It was published on the following day in national dailies. This untold fact could be proved by searching issues of Morning News and Pakistan Observer in the Archives.

However, question may arise, why I am presenting those untold issues now? At least the present posterity will enjoy those legends of history. Sometimes, facts are more romantic than fiction!

Thank you all.
Hasan

Dear Abid Bahar
Bravo!
The only correction i would like to make is you saw him in Mr. M.A. Aziz Janaza where Late Fazlul Quader Chowdhury and Shiekh Mujibur Rahman
met for the last time and the year was 1970 just after the national election. It shows how magnanimous politicians of those days were. Those days politician
use to differ politically but their personal relationship was always above everything. I think the present politicians should learn something from these leaders.

Fazlul Quader Chy, the lion of Chittagong that I saw walking away to his parked car
Abid Bahar

It was most probably in 1972 or 1973,  I saw Fazlul Quader Chowdhury at the railway parade ground. He came to attend the Janaza of Awami League's most probably Hannan or Jahur Ahamed. I saw FQC a tall man truly looked like a lion. He appeared to be a man of dignity and surely showed humility to come to attend the janaza. I saw the lion of Chittagong walking away to his parked car.

Yes, if the university was established in Comilla, neglecting the cosmopolitan port city of Chittagong, he would be a legend of Comilla/ Bangladesh. The anti FKC hatred truly began by some narrow -minded anti chittagonian people from the movement of the University's inception. Again it was due to him that many people of this great city irrespective of their origins are now highly placed at home and abroad.

I don't know for sure how FKC was involved in the liberation war, nothing seems true of what the pathological lier Hasina and her politicized court says; but I have some very good Hindu friends from Rangunia, who says that he was a good man and actually helped them. Hearing this from local Hindu people in a family gathering actually shocked me. I don't know what is true.

It is true during the liberation war Hindus suffered the most. Around 1974 I had visited a very close Hindu friend's home in Rangunia, which my friend told me was burnt down by the local razakars. When explainning it, he seemed tormented by the event. No doubt like in every corner of Bangladesh, Hindus suffered the most, but I hope the present politicized Hasina's Kangaroo court  inspired by the Indian Bengali dadas like Pronobdas is not helping behind the scene trying the war crimes and torturing the accused and in the process is trying to impose the puppet AL government's anti Islamic but pro-Indian agenda.

Not as a matter of tit for tat but I think that when BNP returns to power, Khalida should rightfully put Hasina in trial on collaboration charges to find out the whereabouts of Hasina and the Sheikh family during the war time, (at the time in Dhaka) and how and why her family was financed and fed by the Pakistani army and also find out the mystery behind Mujib surrendering to the Pakistan army. How he could save his family but causing a genocide and now Mujib is the "father of the nation," and Zia becomes a "razakar". Surely, Hasina the worst house wife turned an administrator should be tried for her many crimes including her illegal connectivity and seeling the country to India through Banglar Mirjafors like Pronob Mukherjees.
