Jamaat-e-Islami central leader Mir Kashem was allegedly involved in crimes against humanity as coordinator of a torture cell in the port city set up by the occupation forces during the Liberation War in 1971.

Witnesses told the visiting investigation team of International Crimes Tribunal yesterday that Pakistani army personnel and their local collaborators including Mir Kashem set up the torture cell at Dalim Hotel on Nazir Ahmed Chowdhury lane. Kashem was the then president of Jamaat's student wing Islami Chhatra Sangha and an Al Badr commander.

Please Donate Your ZAKAT to Distressed Children & Infants Intl. (DCI) to Help Underprivileged Children

Dear Friends:

Assalamu Alaikum and Ramadan mubarak to you. We are now in the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the month of self-sacrifice and fasting. As our goal in life is to make Allah pleased with our deeds, DCI wishes to share with you an opportunity as you determine how you will pay your Zakat and Fitra this year. We humbly request you to contribute your Fitra and a portion of Zakatul mal to DCI's fund, so we can continue our urgent work on behalf of underprivileged and orphaned children in Bangladesh.  Please see the attached ZAKAT Flyer.

Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI)
is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit international child rights organization, established in 2003 with the mission to help impoverished children in Bangladesh and throughout the world.  We strive to help underprivileged children lift themselves out of the poverty cycle by providing them basic life necessities, education, healthcare, and family support.  Another unique goal of DCI is to create connections between American youth and less fortunate children of other countries. DCI strives to inspire the children of America to become compassionate world citizens, by promoting their intellectual and leadership capacities through volunteerism.  To learn more about DCI, please visit

Although, I don't like to respond to this type of issue but your concern has brought my attention (through your email) which I feel necessary to explain about the diplomatic immunity. It has evidenced from your earlier emails that you become emotional whenever any issue is raised for or against Ms. Dipu Moni. Fact that you are a cousin of Dipu Moni but you should hold your emotion whenever any diplomatic immunity or norm is in question.

As a Foreign Minister of Bangladesh your Dipu Moni may have 5 years multiple visa for the United State, but it doesn't mean that she can enter USA anytime at her "will" during this visa period. According to diplomatic norms she as a Foreign Minister SHOULD inform her counterpart office or Embassy EVERY TIME whenever she wants to visit any foreign country. Remember, visa is a privilege, not a right. Her visa can be cancelled or she can be denied to enter if the host government feels necessary.

Coming to the USA this time doesn't mean that your Dipu Moni had free access to the USA last time although she had multiple visa for 5 years. Similar procedure applies to any other Foreign Minister who wants to visit Bangladesh. You are free get information either from US State Department or do research Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Immunities http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomatic_immunity.

Perhaps, you've not forgotten (unless your memory is too short) that Sheikh Hasina was denied to aboard plane in Dulles International Airport, Virginia when she wanted to return her home country, Bangladesh in 2008. At that time she came to the USA for medical treatments while she was in Parole.

Thanks for your understanding.

Anis Ahmed

Dear All,

FM Dr. Dipu Moni was in NY for a short visit. Her visit was a slap to the relentless fradulent propaganda by Abu Jafar and gang for last few months regarding denial of her visa to enter US. Now we demand Abu Jafar, Mohiuddin Anwar and others to come up with good explanation
about this visit.

Dr. Manik
