IIC Main Offices
In early 2007, the Islamic Information Center relocated its main headquarters to the National Press Club building in Washington D.C.  The National Press Club is an international news media hub, home to hundreds of media organizations from around the world, and regularly hosts world leaders and various elected officials from around the nation.  By positioning an office in this location, the Islamic Information Center is uniquely suited to disseminate important Islamic information throughout the world in a professional and instantaneous manner.

(WASHINGTON DC - April 27, 2009) The Islamic Information Center is proud to announce the establishment of a free Immigration Clinic to serve the community's needs.

The IIC Immigration Clinic is available to community members in need of immigration assistance.  The clinic will be supported by cooperating attorneys who specialize in immigration and have offered their services on a pro-bono basis.  Assisting the attorneys will be IIC staff members, interns, and legal volunteers.

Islamic Information Center

Last month the Obama Administration stated that the issue of comprehensive immigration reform will be addressed in the very near future.  The mission of the clinic is to assist members who may have questions about immigration reform, their personal cases and to address broader immigration policy issues.

Imam Syed Naqvi, Chairman of the Islamic Information Center, says "Immigration has been a source of confusion and concern for many people throughout this country. By creating this clinic, IIC will fulfill a long-standing need for the Muslim community by addressing these concerns."

The immigration clinic is free to all members of the Muslim community and all IIC members, and can be accessed by emailing legal@islamicinformationcenter.org. In your email, please at least indicate your name, contact information, a brief summary of the issue, and then God willing, we will proceed from there.

Any attorneys, paralegals, or law students who are interested in participating in this clinic, please email IIC to find out about opportunities at the clinic.

Islamic Information Center

IIC provides accurate information about the Islamic faith and Muslim community to government offices, media outlets, and civic organizations. Through educational and interfaith programs, The Islamic Information Center promotes understanding, community, and trust among people of all faiths and cultures.

[chottala.com] Urgent: Tell Republicans to Reject Muslim hate event

Hi,

Did you know that the Florida House Majority leader is bringing to Florida the controversial Dutch politician Geert Wilders, producer of the propaganda film Fitna?

Wilders has been banned from entering the U.K. and is being prosecuted in his own country for incitement. He wants to ban the Quran worldwide and and has said that Muhammad would "... in these days be hunted down as a terrorist."

In spite of Wilder's record of incitement, Rep. Hasner is hosting the right-wing politician in Florida giving him a forum to spew his hate.

While we should respect everyone's right to free speech, it's not acceptable for an elected official to promote hatred and division.

Please don't ignore this message, the event is days away, SPEAK OUT NOW.

Use this link to send a quick letter to lawmakers, telling them we had enough of Hasner's hate. IT TAKES ONLY 30 SECONDS.

TELL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO REJECT THE POLITICS OF FEAR AND ATTEND. Click to send the note: http://unitedvoices.com/pushback.html
