We had fought against Yahiya, Bhutto's (Who were the killers of democracy) hanadar Pak bahinies in 1971 but the law minister has disclosed that in the war of 1971 Pakistan had defeated and India had won i.e. the War of 1971 was between India & Pakistan.

What about Bangladesh and its people?

[chottala.com] BCL faction of DU turned terror to journalists

BCL faction of DU turned terror to journalists

Staff Reporter

Journalists on the Dhaka University (DU) campus have become targets of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), alleged different quarters. Sources said that journalists, who have been reporting in their newspapers about various illegal activities of BCL leaders and activists on and around the campus for last few months, could come under attack or be subjected to harassment.
More than one 'University Reporters' of different dailies told this reporter that they are uncertain whether they could stay in the hall or not due to threats from BCL leaders.
A journalist and resident of Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall said on condition of anonymity that BCL president of his hall Abdur Rahman Jibon and his associates warned him several times not to make any news against them. Otherwise, he would be thrown out of the hall.
He also claimed that Jibon group is planning to give 'lesson' to some journalists who earlier made news stories about its misdeeds.
"As per their plan, Jibon and his accomplices have already harassed Anwar Hosen Sagor, University Reporter of the Daily Banglar Abha, making him arrest by police on a fake charge of his connection with banned Hizbut Tahrir", he said.
Campus sources said Jibon group has now become a horror of the campus as both male and female students were frequently harassed by its followers.
Jahid, a BCL activist of Jasim Uddin Hall admitted the allegation and said not only journalists but also the general students and those of opposite groups are always being harassed by Jibon and his associates.
"Jibon often terms those who do not listen to him as 'Shibir' or 'Hizbut Tahrir", said Jahid.
Anwar Hosen Sagor who has been arrested on Friday night by Shabag police for his alleged involvement with Hizbut Tahrir was released on Saturday morning.
Anwar alleged that he was intentionally arrested as he has disassociated with Jibon group's 'nasty politics'.
Shabag Thana OC Rezaul Karim told this reporter "We released Sagor as we have not found anything suspicious about his involvement with Hizbut".

[chottala.com] Is it good?

It is unwise to send women in such a bulk quantities in an ordinary household job especially to Middle East Arab countries?

I had very bad experiences during my 15 years of services as Medical Practitioner in the ministry of health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia doing medical job from city life up to remote area in the deserts and oasis knowing INS and out of their family life. Their attitude and behaviour towards the women of third world countries are substandard type below the level of humanity.

When they don't show any respect to their own women how they can show respect to foreign women of third world countries.

India, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and many other countries stopped sending their women now a days to these Arab countries to do job in their private houses except qualified Sisters (Nurses) doing job in Hospital or in Health centres under the direct supervision of Health Ministry.

Others as for example job in their private house's though they used to tell so many lucrative offer they are talking all bullshits but practically used them as slaves as or more than that in their houses.

Our govt should have a second thought before taking such an unwise and drastic decision.

Dowllah (Dr. Siraj Uddowllah).

1 lakh women workers to be sent abroad by 2011

BSS, Dhaka

Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Engineer Khondaker Mosharraf Hossain today said the government is planning to send one lakh women workers abroad within next one year after giving them necessary training. "We will open separate wings in our some foreign missions to look after the issues of women workers so they (workers) can get prompt help if necessary," he said while talking to the officers of Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) here.

Outlining the growing demand for women workers in the Middle- Eastern countries, the minister said they (Middle-East) are looking back towards Bangladeshi workers for their (workers) utmost sincerity.

At the first stage, BMET would impart training to 1500 women selected by local government representatives across the county, he said adding that these trained women would be kept ready for sending as soon as the demand comes.

He said the workers would have to pay a nominal amount as training fee after being nominated for a particular job abroad. Besides, all necessary expenditure would be borne by the foreign recruiting agencies, Mosharraf said.

To materialize the target of sending more workers abroad, steps have to be taken to strengthen the BMET and the government has already taken some measures in this regard, the minister added.

"We are aware of different hazards for the women workers in the foreign countries and are talking with the authorities of the concerned countries to ensure congenial working atmosphere," he said.

He said every woman would be provided with a SIM card so that she can talk to her family members and keep contact with embassy officials when needed.

Director General of BMET Khorshed Alam Chowdhury and other officials were present on the occasion.
