Mr. Chowdhury,
May I share with you my understanding on the BDR revolt incident?
1) Who did conspire this revolt?
The way all these years the money of rich devout religious people were being spent on madrasas,
on sermon givers, on huji, in shibir, etc. Cheap middle eastern oil money were being spent in
underground in millions to motivate unpatriotic ignorant but religious people into the conspiracy
to stage spectacular events destroying lives and properties of who they consider enemy.
They perhaps spent a lot in BDR too, because BDR has weapons already, all they needed to
motivate the BDR revolters to put the hands on the magazines.
The recent serious defeat in the political arena may have let the conspirators follow that heinous path.
Weaken the power of who they think enemy.
That black panther is seriously trying to destabilize the national government and
capture the power of influence and if at all possible to capture the state power too.
There will never be any trust between the BDR and Army in future. Trying would merely be useless.
By the forces quality, BDR is a little above the Ansar Bahini and no where near the Army Officers.
By my opinion, BDR should be dismantled. It would be more logical to create a border security
force that can guarantee two things, (1) Stop smuggling and border crossing from either side,
and (2) Resist armed activities of the BSF or the activities of any other armed gangs in the soil of Bangladesh.
with this aim, to create a new border security force with adequate training of the police and military.
There must have a counter force to check the activities of the border security force whether they
are doing their job or are engaged in mere smuggling and making black money.
There is nothing much to do for the Army. Bangladesh Army is not a group of angels but they proved that
they are a good organization participating in world peace activities and administering the country for last 2 years.
Bangladesh Army is the friend of the Bangladeshi people, not the enemy, like the Pak Army was in the past.
BDRs are losers. About 99% of the BDRs have only secondary education.Their education, trining and work
are not sufficient to elevate any one of them to their officer level; and that is why Army fills those positions.
Their jealousy on this issue is unfounded. So, BDR should be dismantled and replaced with a better quality
border security force. The new force must be given in-depth police, military and intelligence trainings.
Killing by the name of mutiny can never be pardoned. Killers must be given exemplary punishments. The looters, rapists,
and the organizers of this heinous incident can never be let go spare and be unpunished. If that happens that will
encourage the other plotters do the same again there or else where.
We must all help the national Government to function seamlessly. Until now they seem like doing their job properly.
Give them enough chance, time and help such that they can keep the control over the country. Why do we have to
help the Government? Because they have been elected by the people and the election was very fair and just.
The care taker government and the Army must be saluted for giving us that big of a prize for our nation. Let us devote
everyone in every one's own duty by doing all jobs properly we all can build the country together.
Thanks,
KR
