Dear chottala readers,

Look our future generation, future backbone of our country were sent to University by their parents by spending lots of money for study only. Instead of Book, Note Book and Pen in their hands they are carrying stick in their hands for fighting with their fellow brothers.  In extreme right in the above two pictures one is carrying even gun.

Though these sorts of activities were going on before, but for quite a long time it was stopped. As soon as the present govt of Sheikh Hasina came into power again these turmoils started throughout the country in every educational institutions. The proposals for stopping students politics, Sheikh Hasina did not agree and told openly in the assembly she is not against students politics. In her view students politics should be there as she also did politics when she was a student. 

During Pakistan period as Pakistani ruler wanted to impose urdu as our state language instead of our own language Bangla, it was necessary for our students to come out in the street to protest and oppose those Pakistanis ill motives.

In 1971 when Pakistani ruler instead of giving power to our democratic govt, forced us to a civil war, our students came out with guns in their hands to fight with the Pakistani Army Junta. That was necessary and call of the time. 

Now for what, our students carrying sticks and guns are going to fight with whom and for what reasons. Is there any suitable explanation for that.

[chottala.com] 1971 war criminals: Simla agreement?

Simla Agreement a peace settlement reached between India and Pakistan following the war of liberation of Bangladesh in 1971 which India supported as an ally. The Pakistan army surrendered on 16 December 1971, and the whole army was taken to safety as Prisoners of War. Bangladesh was eager to try them as war criminals. Releasing the prisoners from the Indian custody and keeping them away from the threatened war trial became a grave national issue for the government of Pakistan.   Here is the actual clause in Simla agreement declaring pardon for all 'war criminals'.   (VI) Both Governments agree that their respective Heads will meet again at a mutually convenient time in the future and that, in the meanwhile, the representatives of the two sides will meet to discuss further the modalities and arrangements for the establishment of a durable peace and normalization of relations, including the questions of repatriation of prisoners of war and civilian internees, a final settlement of Jammu and Kashmir and the resumption of displomatic relations. " Upon signing Simla agreement, between India & Pakistan, it was a strategic defeat for Bangladesh and Seikh Mujib, he has to honor the code of agreement and later signed a bilateral treaty with Indira Gandhi, Mujib-Indira Treaty ; mostly benefiting India in terms of trade & security The Indo-Bangladeshi Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Peace was a 25-year treaty that was signed on March 19, 1972 forging close bilateral relations between India and the newly-established state of Bangladesh. The treaty was also known as the Indira-Mujib Treaty, after the signatories of the treaty the Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.   Part of the Simla agreement, Seikh Mujib declared general pardon for all the war criminals. Dear all chottala readers, At the end  our police department caught two old unknown poor man as Razakar or war criminals of 1971 in Village Bera Bari of Mohanpur in Rajshahi district named Dawood Ali 70 years and Noore Anowar 60 years. They are now under remand. We are still happy to learn at least two war criminals were caught. Why not Golam Azam, Ali Mohd Muzahid, Motiur Rahman Nizami and Behai who are moving in front of our nose still spared and not yet caught. Since the inception of Bangladesh we are continuously hearing about Golam Azam and many other prominant person as war criminals.  There are so many big big war criminals still present either as parliament member or as Behai or freely moving in the open air  in a big big city like Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, in many other big cities of Bangladesh etc.  Only two poor old men were searched and caught at the end leaving aside those big big Razakar untouched.  They should have enough courage to catch the big big fish as mentioned and not to run after  "CHUNO PUTI" only.
