[chottala.com] This present CTG needs to do reforming works in medical education

It is observed that VIP politicians MP Minister Prime Minister even
President big business men regularly are visiting Singapore & other
country for getting physical treatment body check up for them & for
their family members. But no body comes from that country to
Bangladesh for doing body check up & body treatment. Though there are
a lot of doctors, many medical college university & hospitals in
Bangladesh but VIP people & Government personals are not doing body
check up & treatment in Bangladesh.
What does it mean?
Does it not mean that there is no any good doctor who can do good
treatment & there is no good hospital where patients can get proper
treatment?
Does it not mean that the doctors in Bangladesh are not getting
proper education in Medical College medical university?
So after getting medical degree certificates the doctors are doing
medical business at clinic & hospital.
Therefore for doing body checking & for doing medical treatment to
our VIP members & for keeping national health by providing correct
treatment to the patients in Bangladesh & for saving foreign
currency,
This present CTG needs to do reforming works in medical education
system also so that in medical college medical university can provide
proper medical update education to the medical students to make them
good efficient doctors after taking medical degree so that they can
do proper medical check up & can do correct treatment to the patients
at clinic or at hospital in Bangladesh.

[chottala.com] Shame ! Shame ! Shame !!! Moti Bhai I say Shame Shame Shame Shame .......

Yes Aslam Vai,

Thanks for the nice & attracting posting.

You are right.

Moti vai has got his 1st lesson (and many more such disgraceful lessons for him are on the way).

"OZHAR   SHAP   OZHA   KEI   KAMRAI"

Moti Vai, who was directly & indirectly patronising, sponsoring, nourishing these dangerous snakes (anti Bangabandhu- Bangladesh-Sheik Hasina-Awami League led all party alliances), those cunning, sneaky snakes only have bitten him, very cruelly and mercilessly!

This is the lesson of the history!

Have you read another informative e-mail of Mr. Asad about this cartoon and shameful suicide of Moti vai, where he gave a link of a nice article of Belal vai, a famous TV personality and journalist who witnessed many historic incidents?

Please read that,

"We also very surprised and shocked by the instant and awful reaction of the notorious Adviser of the present Jamat sympathetic Military backed interim Government (MBIG), Barrister Moinul Hussain (CIA agent and previous leader of Khondakar Mostaq's Democratic League and (most recent) active sponsor & covert leader of Jamat-BNP axis)

For more detail and explanation, please read the logical, sensible and appropriate article of famous journalist Mr. Belal Beg. URL link is below:

http://www.nybangla.com/This_Week_News/Writer/Belal%20Beg.htm"

But, again this alarming!

That is why, though now a days, I do not support most of the comments of Moti vai and started hating him like (millions of sensible Bangalee & his old friends for his 'derail' & traitor acts) still I felt sorry for him when yesterday I saw those 'helpless' pictures of Moti vai. Though similar 'evil' acts were done earlier by Jamat-SHIBIR & nothing happened to them.

http://www.somewhereinblog.net/blog/sujonmcblog/28732243

"CHORER   DOSH     DIN,   'POLICE'   ER   EK   DIN"

Moti vai (and some similar so called 'neutral' journalist & personalities) tried their level best to defame, undermine Sheikh Hasina & her era (I am not also telling that Sheikh Hasina is angel and she was 100% all right. Sheikh Hasina had also done 'some' mistakes, but Sheikh Hasina & her era was MUCH MUCH better than her similar counterparts) by exposing her (even small mistakes) publicly, widely and broadly, which he should do it constructively, nicely & politely (as done by Mr. Abdul Gaffar Choudhury, late M R A Mukul, late Ohidul Haq, Dr. Muntasir Mamun, Swadesh Roy, Badsha vai, Ajoy Da, Belal Vai, Suvash Da, Sagor and many others) and it would be best if he would done those 'criticism' privately and personally meeting with her or directly writing to her. And mostly, they were equating & comparing Sheikh Hasina & her era with Jamat BNP era & Khaleda and her gong.

Moti vai & his associates were trying to counterpart a politically 2nd grader (Khaleda) equivalent to a 1st grader (Sheikh Hasina)!

History repeats itself!

[chottala.com] Recovering offshore assets

FYI - just wondering how Non Resident Bangladeshi's could help in this regard.....BD a country with less than ~$500.00 per capita income,....and $5 Billion of it's economy is being siphoned off overseas each year!! See article/link below

Happy reading, Rana
==============================================================
Bangladesh Asks U.K. to Help Recover Lawmakers' Offshore Assets
By Jay Shankar
Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Bangladesh's military backed government asked the U.K. to help recover assets moved offshore by lawmakers as part of its crackdown on corruption that has resulted in the arrest of more than 150 politicians since January.
Bangladesh suspects politicians ``have property in London or pilfered cash'' in the U.K., Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury, chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, said in a telephone interview yesterday from the capital, Dhaka. The commission is seeking information from Scotland Yard for its investigation.
``If Bangladesh can produce evidence from British authorities that some of the political leaders and businessmen have made investments there, which you cannot justify properly, then getting a conviction will be much easier,'' Chowdhury said.
Bangladesh, a country of 150 million people, has been under a state of emergency since the government canceled elections scheduled for January after months of clashes between supporters of political parties. Former prime ministers Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina Wajed were among the politicians arrested.
Corruption in Bangladesh is rampant, said Iftekhar Zaman, executive director of Berlin-based Transparency International, a global body that fights graft, in a phone interview from Dhaka. Bangladesh ranked 156 in the group's survey of 168 nations.
Politicization of law enforcement bodies, the judiciary and public service led to the violations, Zaman said.
``According to one estimate, $5 billion are being siphoned off to other nations each year by the corrupt people in the country,'' he said.
New York, Singapore
The Anti-Corruption Commission is moving case-by-case and individual-by-individual to track money laundering, Chowdhury said. Some of the funds taken out of the country may have been invested in London, Singapore or New York, he added.
The U.K.'s Department for International Development and the World Bank are helping Bangladesh tackle corruption, he said. The U.K. is one of the South Asian nation's biggest aid donors.
The commission plans to recruit 400 more people to boost its numbers to 1,264 personnel by year's end, Chowdhury said.
The World Bank, which lent the country $379 million in the fiscal year to June 2007, will help improve the governance of public institutions to fight corruption, Xian Zhu, World Bank country director for Bangladesh, said in an e-mailed statement.
Checks and Balances
The bank's focus is on improving public access to information and strengthening constitutional bodies that provide a ``check and balance'' on the abuse of power, such as the commission, Zhu said.
World Bank President Robert Zoellick said in July the bank should help developing nations fight corruption rather than penalize them. His predecessor Paul Wolfowitz called for aid to be cut off to countries such as Bangladesh and Chad because of graft.
Bangladesh ratified the United Nations Convention against Corruption in February 2007. This enables the country to seek international assistance in recovering illegal assets abroad. The convention requires nations to cooperate in the investigation, forfeiture and repatriation of stolen property.
Cooperation with Scotland Yard may not lead to the immediate recovery of assets, Chowdhury said.
``Recovering assets is a long, drawn process because a lot of bureaucracy is involved,'' he said. ``The moment we put a claim on money in London the opponent will go to the court to stop recovery.''
The commission has obtained 12 convictions and has 15 cases of money laundering in the courts, Chowdhury said.
The World Bank said Bangladesh has already taken ``gargantuan steps'' to curb corruption.
``Critical to long term sustainability will be the passage of a right-to-information law which the experience in other countries suggests can be an important antidote to corruption,'' Zhu said.

[chottala.com] Prothom -alo Cartoon and few words

Dear Adnan Syed

In reality, it was not a mistake, but a motivated misterpretation
of the cartoon. Things has been blown out of prortion for
political purpose.

BTW, if Arifur Rahman is has been terminated from his job,
how come he is arrested or vice versa? Under any civilized
norm, a person can not be punished for the same offence
twice - Double Jeopardy ?????

Shame on Motiur Rahman for his capitulation, he should have
better resigned ......and keep his head high and face the oddities

... Syr dega tobu nehi dega amama ......

Dear members,

Probaly you all know the incident.
in Alpin, a humor supplement of daily Prothom-Alo, a
joke was published mistakenly with a innocent
intention on September 17. The Joke was:
A man: What is your name?
Boy: Babu.
Man: Say Mohammed Babu. What's is your father's name?
Boy: X.
Man: Say Mohammed X.What is that in your lap?
Boy: Mohammed cat.
It was a mistake. And after publishing this joke, the
Mawlana's started demanding banning of Prothom Alo and
arresting the publisher and editor. The cartoonist, a
freelancer youth of 20 has been arrested. Government
banned all the copies of that magazines.
Next day, September 18, Prothom Alo's editor said
Sorry and begged pardon in the front page. On
September 19, same regrets and begging pardon was once
again published in the name of the editor. And the sub
editor in charge of that section was terminated due to
carelessness.
But fundamentalists did not stop. They are more
aggressive now. And the govt. is thinking to obey to the demand of the
fundamentalists. Foundamentalists are keep demanding to arrest the
editor Mr. Matiur Rahman. Matiur Rahman is a Magsaysay Award
winner journalist and an icon of free press in our country. Ironically he is the
most strong supporter of this Govt. and it's reform works.
We strongly demand not to harass an editor and a free
newspaper. If Matiur Rahman can be arrested, there's nobody in
this country is not vulnerable to fundamentalist' s
danger.
