Re: [chottala.com] Over a cup of coffee

People should read real history.

It is the most duty for real human to write any matter correctly & honestly.

The fraud people make fraud history by telling & writing false & fraud.

They are the real killers of humanity & honesty.

Bengal Bihar Urisha was the Nowab Siraj uddowlla's Kingdom,

The historical ground is that Bengal Bihar & Urisha are Independent one country in the name of Bengal Bihar Urisha.

It should not be ruled now by Delhi or Pindi. It should be out from the controlling of Delhi.

It now should be ruled from Dhaka or Morshidabad under one central Parliamentarian Government CONSIDERING BANGLA BIHAR & URISHA as Provincials states of Bengal Bihar Urisha country with THE PROVINCIAL CAPITALS at KOLKHATA, PATNA & URIA ruling under the central Parliamentarian Government from Dhaka or Mushidabad.

[chottala.com] Jamaat's "honouring" Muktijoddhas - The Daily Star Report

  Jamaati Hoax !!!!!!!!!

Jamaat honours 5 'Muktijoddhas'

2 demand punishment to its leaders, if guilty

Staff Correspondent

In an ironic move, Jamaat-e-Islami accorded a reception and gave award to five Muktijoddhas (freedom fighters) yesterday, 38 years after the birth of Bangladesh.

This party had termed freedom fighters traitors and miscreants during the Liberation War in 1971, and called for killing them.

Jatiya Muktijoddha Parishad, a Jamaat patronised organisation, organised the reception at a city hotel.

The function was held against the backdrop of public demand for and the government's promise to hold trial of war criminals who had not only opposed the Liberation War but also collaborated with the Pakistani occupation forces in committing genocide during the nine-month war.

Recipients of the award from Jamaat are Dr Rowshan Ara Begum, Lt Commander (retd) Afazuddin Ahmed, Salahuddin Ahmed, poet Al Mahmud and (posthumous) Major MA Jalil.

Rawshan Ara told this correspondent she did not know that Jamaat was involved in the programme.

Talking to journalists later, both Rawshan and Afazuddin demanded exemplary punishment of Jamaat leaders if found involved in the killings and oppression during the Liberation War.

Salahuddin said the award [Tk 50,000, books and a crest] will help an insolvent freedom fighter like him.

No representative of Jalil was present to receive his award.

Organisers said they would send it to his house as his wife is now abroad.

Jamaat Secretary General Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mojaheed, who was scheduled to be the chief guest at the function, did not turn up. He was represented by Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, ameer of city unit of the party.

Several other Jamaat leaders including lawmaker Hamidur Rahman Azad were present at the programme.

Many of the present top leaders of Jamaat including its Ameer Maulana Motiur Rahman Nizami and Secretary General Mojaheed were accused of war crimes.

Leaders of Jamaat's student wing the then Islami Chhatra Sangha, now known as Islami Chhatra Shibir, and some other groups were involved in anti-liberation activities.

Mojaheed was president of East Pakistan Islami Chhatra Sangha in 1971. Mojaheed asked workers of the organisation to form Al-Badr Bahini to resist freedom fighters, according to a "Fortnightly Secret Report on the Situation in East Pakistan". In line with an official procedure, the report used to be regularly dispatched by the then East Pakistan home ministry to General Yahya Khan, head of the Pakistan government.

Many researches, academic studies, accounts of both victims and collaborators, and publications including newspapers revealed that Mojaheed, who headed the Al Badr team in Dhaka at that time, allegedly led those who had been involved in the killings of intellectuals -- only two days before the victory of liberation forces on December 16, 1971.

Thousands of people still bear the scars of war crimes by Jamaat, Islami Chhatra Sangha and some other controversial outfits such as Nizam-e-Islami. Jamaat's opposition to the struggle for independence has been documented in different publications including those by the party itself.

We are proud of this talented young man. Congratulations to the parents who have done the hard work of preparing their son for Harvard and then let us cherish.
The son and the parent made all the Bangladeshi-Americans proud and proved a very important point that our kids compete neck to neck with any other kid, given the necessary attention.

Along with recognizing individual achievements such as Jamal's we need to find ways to replicate these success stories in our community. One of the ways it can be done is having people like Mr.. Khan share the means (or secrets, if you want to call it) of these successes. In other words we see the end results, however it  would be helpful to know the strategies/techniques/secrets as to how one would succeed.
As parents in our late Forties we are raising children to follow the path of Jamals. I would greatly appreciate any tips from Mahbub Bhai and Bhabi (email hosainalam@aol.com or khokaalam@gamil.com) on this.

Subject: [chottala.com] Jamal Accepted at Harvard Law School [1 Attachment]

Dear Friends,

We are profoundly humbled that our son Jamal has received an admission offer from Harvard Law School for JD (Doctor of Jurisprudence) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Jamal is the third of our four children (Madhury, Kamal, Jamal and Monika).

We are very grateful to Allah (swa) for this monumental gift for Jamal, for our family, for our friends, and for our community. We are also very thankful to those of our family members, extended family members, friends and community members, who have encouraged Jamal and helped Jamal in various ways, over the years, to attain this goal, which has been a dream of Jamal since childhood.

Harvard wrote to Jamal in the offer letter as follows:

We are thrilled to welcome you to this incredible institution! We believe that this is the single best place in the world to study law……..

Jamal released this information last month during the Eid/Thanksgiving weekend in San Jose, California, to his immediate family members, with his elder sister Madhury on speakerphone from New York. This news resulted in an outburst of strong emotions and joy. This also resulted in an instantaneous group hug to Jamal from his family members, which transformed into tears of happiness. The next morning, Madhury sent text message to Jamal from New York:  "I couldn't sleep last night cuz I was so excited!" She was very happy for her baby brother.

Jamal is now waiting for responses from other schools he applied to. However, Harvard seems to be Jamal's first choice at this time.

We have no end of gratefulness and thankfulness for this grand gift in our lives.

Jamal was identified as a GATE student early on, like all of his siblings. (GATE = Gifted And Talented Education).

Jamal was the high school Valedictorian, while his siblings were also Valedictorian in all or most of the schools.

Jamal also received the Presidential Award from the US-President, like all of his siblings.

Jamal graduated as the Valedictorian of his High School. He achieved Junior Standing (3rd year equivalent) by the end of his first semester at UC-Berkeley, because of AP course credit and community college courses he took during his High School years. In four years, Jamal finished the Majors in Economics, Political Science, and Rhetoric, and a Minor in Global Poverty and Practice. He graduated from Berkeley with High Honors in Economics and High Distinction in General Scholarship.

Jamal earned several distinct Awards, Honors, and Scholarships. He received the national Robert C. Byrd Scholarship, and also the Berkeley CalBears Scholarship. He was invited for membership into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. During his Junior year, Jamal was selected by the Berkeley Political Science Department to receive the Travers Scholarship in Politics and Ethics. This Award is "intended to give recognition and encouragement to outstanding undergraduate students who plan to serve their country or community in an elected or non-elected government capacity sometime in the future." He took a Graduate Level course in Political Science during his Senior Year. For his Senior Honors Thesis in Economics, Jamal did statistical analysis of Government data to look at American immigrant assimilation trends.

Jamal also did some extracurricular activities outside the classroom during his time at UC-Berkeley:

1)      Intern for Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco, CA.  (A photograph of Jamal with the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is attached here).

2)     Tata International Social Entrepreneurship Scheme (TISES) Fellow in Gujarat, India. Worked for 8 weeks with farmers in rural village of India in a Community Development Partnership between UC-Berkeley, Cambridge University, and Tata International.

3)      Intern for nonprofit organization MAPLight.org in Berkeley, CA. Looked at connections between big campaign donations and specific votes in Congress.

4)     Intern for Law Practice in San Francisco

5)     Assistant for the Disabled Students Program at UC Berkeley

6)   Research Assistant for a Rhetoric Professor

Jamal's LSAT Score was in the 99th Percentile nationwide. (LSAT - Law School Admission Test). Previously in high school, he scored perfect 800 on the SAT Verbal and SAT II Writing Exams for Undergraduate Admission. (SAT = Scholastic Aptitude Test).

Jamal memorized the 30th Parah of the holy Qur'an, and with the blessings of Allah (swt) is able to recite with beautiful Tajweed.

Jamal is very modest, and he clearly displays, even at this young age, that he is a scholar and an intellectual. He is a delight of our family. Jamal is happy, jolly, kind, thoughtful, humble, and he is very respectful to others. When our four kids meet and they get into intense and happy conversations, Reena and I get no chance to speak, but to watch their jubilance with all of our happiness.

Jamal is an inspiration for the youths and kids of our community and beyond, and he is a good role model for them as well.

Once again, we have no end of thankfulness for this grand gift in our lives.

Please pray for Jamal.

With best regards,
