Re: [chottala.com] Bangladesh Army following model of Pak Army

Ms Dina Khan

Here you go ! you are talking like Ayub Khan and blaming
the  politicians only [you said: politicians & political leaders are
inefficient]

Politicians reflects the society ..... "good law makers"
would  not pop out of "heaven" .....

Looks like you have not read the write-up.
Thus, your comments are out of context.
[Only throwing lecturers would not change our society ....]
The socio-economic changes occur through historical
processes.... and that does not happen over night .....
Just blaming the politicians is not enough .....
The societal elites [that includes military, bureaucracy and
"Khandani people"] are equally responsible, if nor more ...

Even a erudite blogger like yourself can not focus on the
issues under discussion .....  what does it say about
our socio-cultural mindset ?

Bangladesh Army following model of Pak Army

Says BBC radio documentary

Staff Correspondent
The business Bangladesh Army is carrying out in the country, is just following the model of Pakistan Army, reported the second episode of the nine-part BBC radio documentary "Probaho" yesterday.
The documentary revealed this while investigating business projects of Bangladesh Army, particularly the Mongla Cement Factory in Khulna.
Regarding the relations between two armies, eminent expert on military affairs in the sub-continent Dr Ayesha Siddika told the weekly BBC documentary, "There is a keen interest in building links with Bangladesh. I mean, older officers, Pakistan Army officers, want to develop a close relationship with Bangladesh Army."
Ayesha also said that she had taken part in many discussions in which high ranked officials of Pakistan Army and Air Force talked without due respect and dignity that another sovereign country deserves.
"I know a retired general of Pakistan who is a businessman nowadays and frequents to Bangladesh. He can be defined as a medium of communication," Ayesha added.
While investigating the history of Mongla Cement Factory, a concern of Bangladesh Army Welfare Trust, the documentary found that a bilateral deal was signed between Pakistan and Bangladesh on October 13, 1988 focusing on a loan of $ 5 crore at 2 percent interest.
The deal was signed at a time when Gen Ziaul Haque of Pakistan was killed in a mysterious plane crash nearly two to three months back and Pakistan was heading for a general election.
The then Pakistan Army chief was Aslam Begh when Pakistan government approved the loan for Bangladesh considering it as a state matter, the documentary said.
The Mongla factory was financed by a portion of the loan. A government document shows though there were discrepancies in the deal the two states signed, Sena Kalyan Sangstha (SKS) did not face much problem in purchasing machineries for the cement factory project.
The documentary quoted a letter addressed to the then managing director of SKS on June 6, 1990.
"The deal between SKS and Pakistan Heavy Mechanical Complex Ltd have discrepancies …..The institutional deal allows payment in advance, which was not entertained in the state deal. We need an immediate explanation in this regard," the letter reads.
The time when the cement factory was financed also coincides with the military rule in Bangladesh.
High ranking army officers of that time confirmed BBC that the then Pakistan high commissioner in Bangladesh was much eager to have the loan used in implementing the cement project of SKS.
The documentary said that the cement factory in 2008 earned Tk 24 crore as profit--equivalent to the half of the total business profit earned from the business ventures under the trust.
The trust was established in Bangladesh in June in 1998 following the model of Pakistan Army Welfare Trust, which was established in 1965.
Pakistan army established the trust showing reasons that as army is the biggest defence force in the country and largest number of personnel are going into retirement every year, the force needs a separate business platform for welfare of the soldiers, said a book titled "Military Inc: Inside Pakistan's Military Economy" by Ayesha Siddiqa.
The projects taken under the trust are more profitable than SKS's and mainly controlled by army headquarters, the documentary added.

[chottala.com] Golam Azam is a Gaddar: Gaddare Azam - Top Traitor of 1971

Golam Azam is a Gaddar: Gaddare Azam - Top Traitor of 1971

Mr. Mohammad Jubair

"Legally speaking  !!!!"    ho! ho! ho ! under what law ?
 and  on what ground?

In British India, both Maulana Bashani and Sheikh mujib faught for achievement
of the "home land" for the Muslims i.e. Pakistan .... [Where as  Jamaat's Guru Maulana  Moududi opposed the creation of Pakistan   ......]

After 1947 both Maulana Bashani and Sheikh Mujib faught for people's rights
and creation of a truly democratic society in Pakistan, And this made them
enemy of the Pakistan's rulling class and vested intrests [Military-feudal complex
now known as Military Inc....ref: the book called "Military Inc." Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa Agha ]. They started using the boogyman tactics using the spectra of Indian juju against those who opposed their exploitation of the then East Pakistan to misled
the people of the country. The parties and leader who spoke for democracy and rights of the people has  always been decried as Indian agents during Pakistani
period.

The historical proceeses in the struggles of the ordinary masses for their
political rights and demand for economic emancipation developed into our
struggle for independent nationhood i.e Bangladesh during late 1960s...

Please read the history very carefully, you will find that the Pakistan's ruling
Junta is actually responsible for the breakage of Pakistan...Pakistan's anti-people
ruling elites have always branded the people's movements and people's
democratic aspiration as the acts of  Indian agents   .... and this tradition of their
forebearer are still being continued by various vested groups in Bangladesh too.

Bear in mind, that Pakistan broke from inside due to it's internal weakness and it's
own shortcommings as a multi-ethnic nation and democratic society....

Your aspersion ""Mr. Syed Aslam believes Bagladeshi is only who supports AL and Hasina". is out and out misleading and in reality it is putting your own words in other's mouth .....[ Your use of large font resembles nothing
more than Golabazi .......]

By the same token, you must know that anyone who opposes Jamaati  sectarianism
and demands the  trials of Al-Bodor death squad organizers are not necessarily
supporters of AL & Hasina .... This is a demand that is comming from all quarters within our nation. There are many who are "at odds"  with AL on various issues including many who, in general, supports BNP in other issues are also
supporting the demand for the Trials  of  war criminals in Bangladesh ......!!!!

The trials of the Gaddars, Traitors and killers of 1971 is a must  for our nation to uphold the banner of our independence and uphold  pluralism & democracy
in Bangladesh and this should be one of our top national priorities.

FYI, it is an open secret that in 1971, Jamaat not only collaborated with the
occupation army of Yahia-Tikka regime, it directly aided and abetted genocide
and mass rapes in the killing fields. In addition, Jamaat organized
the Al-Bodor death squads and engaged it's ranks to "pick-up", torture,
and murder innocent civillians and the supporters of  our mukti-juddho.

The then Jamaati boss Gaddare Azam Gholam Azam was at the helm with
his deputies Nizami, Mujahid, Kader Mollah gong along with Al-Bodor Bahini
in the field. Gaddare Azam Gholam Azam  was the Chief Traitor of 1971.
It may be mentioned here that Jamaat's student wing Islami Chattro
Sangho (ICS) was the hard-core of armed killer Al-bodors bahini ..... the
Chattro Sangho's hands were so much tainted with blood of innocent civillians
that when it re-surfaced in 1977, it changed the it changed the name
to Shibir ....

Syed Aslam

PS:

This organization Islami Chhatra Shibir was previously named as 'Islamai Chattra Shangha'. It's leaders and members took part in the systematic genocide perpetrated by Pakistan Army on Bangali civilians during the 1971 Liberation War. After Bangladesh became independent on December 16, 1971, the Chhatra Sangha activists went into hiding or fled to Pakistan to evade prosecution for war crimes. However, after the assasination of Sheikh Mujibor Rahman in 1975, many leaders of Chhatra Sangha returned to Bangladesh. On the 6th February, 1977 Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir was formed with a new name for Chhatra Sangha. [source: wikipedia]

Mr. Azam is a Gaddar: Gaddare Azam - Top Traitor of 1971

Mr. Helal Ahmed

You are uttering rubish,  because I have exposed how & why
Golam Azam is Gaddare Azam.... !!!

However, your dellusional anger is understandable..

There are bunch of hidden Jamaati supporters, many of whom are
liberal-looking, but they use the same scare-tactics
as the Jamaate Islami does [such as integrating BD with India,
Akhondo Bharat dream, turning Bangladesh into a Korod Rajjyo
etc. ]

The politics of India-bashing does not do not work in
Bangladesh any more .... As a matter of fact it has never
worked .... Just last week I answered your dellusional
ideas about AL " integrating BD to India"  that time you said:
".... in 2010, AL could open the door to India to enter BD and
 re-claim their Akhando Bharat dream"

I asked you how?  You didn't answer and kept your mouth shut.

Now, please, show us the sequence of events that will lead to such integration.
Please substantiate your comments with plausible references
and verifiable sources not propaganda materials promoted by those
who thrieve on narrow jingoistic politics.

I think, only the fools and idiots can have "Akhando Bharat dream"
or wishful thinking of "integrating BD to India " at this stage of  the
history of South Asia. India has so many headachs
that any sensible political groups in India would not espouse such
thoughts in their wildest dreams...... The ruling class of India knows
very well that they can not sallow sharp edged glass and digest
it ...and after all Bangladesh is a land of 150 million freedom loving
people ......

The politics of India-Bashing and related scare-tactics is nothing
new in our country ....  Nurul Amin to Ayub Khan to Yahia Khan
everyone tried it  .. even our leaders like Maulana Bashani, Sheikh
Mujib  et el. were slandered as Indian Agent [Bharoter Dalal]
..... the boogyman scare tactics  [Jujur Bhoi] does not sail well in
Bangladesh   ...  the history of our people has shown that no one
can fool them with false propaganda and scare tactics ....
[As the proverb goes "You can fool some people  for sometimes,
But you can't fool all the people all the time......" ]

You ask me to "Stop calling Mr. Azam a Gadder" , but as the
history of our liberation stuggle has shown us that Golam
was the Gaddare Azam, the top collaborator & Traitor in 1971.
The henious role played Jamaate Islami, especially
it's Albodor death squads and "intellectuals murder
schemes" are already written in the nation's history nwith
indeliable ink. No matter how hard Jamaatis try to falsy our
the history, all of their efforts will end up in vains

You can spread any rumor against Hasina and AL but I
can ensure you the people of our country won't get
misled by that : Hasina has come to power with people's
mandate, the prime issue that lead to her victory was the
promise for the trials of the war criminals and murders
of 1971.

Thanks for your patience.

Syed Aslam

Very good response Mr. Aslam.

However, why don't you call Mrs. Sheikh Hasina a Gaddarni when she sold out the country's interest to India in her recent India tour. If you are deeply upset with Mr. Azam for his anti Bangladesh (BD) act, then how you keep your eyes shut with Mrs. Hasina's anti BD act!

I mean from a patriotic point of view, we should raise our voices whoever is hurting our country. I find Mrs. Hasina is more harmful with our current scenario than Mr. Azam. No matter what Mr. Azam and current Jamaat leadership tries to do he/they can't turn BD to Pakistan anymore. But in the in the contrary, Mrs. Hasina and current AL leadership are well capable of integrating BD to India. The way things are going on, I think one day we might not even need a border to be differentiated from India. And I'm sure for some of us that's completely OK as it was for some of us 1971.

We can't wake someone up if he/she is pretending to be sleeping. I pray for myself and all of us so that Almighty make us somewhat JUST person.

If you can't call Mrs. Hasina a Gaddarni, then pls stop calling Mr. Azam a Gaddar.

Thank You.
Helal

Mr. M. Al-Jubair

I hope, you understand plain english ?

It is the Jamaate Islami that is defaming Islam
by using Islamic lebash in their parochial
politics and trying to fool the ordinary masses
in the name of Islam.

Do you think the word "Jamaate Islami" is
synonymous with our religion Islam or  Jamaate
Islami has the sole agency on Islam ?

I don't think so ..... rather, I think that Jamaat
is using Islam for it's narrow political objectives.
Jamaatis must be exposed.... they are the
modern day  Yazidists ...... [Yazid who caused
the Karbala massacre in 680 AD ]

There is no defaming of Islam in my post(s).
Please be specific, so that I can clarify your
misunderstandings. ....!

I have clearly metioned that:
" The Jamaatis are demeaning Islam by using the name
of Islam for every crime it commits ...... Jamaate
Islami try to pose itself as a Pro-Islamic party but in
reality  they are the worst  hypocrites that exist on the
face of this earth" .

Do you have problem with calling Gholam Azam
as Gaddare Azam, the Top Traitor of 1971?

This Golam was a traior, a betrayer, a gaddar to the
people our country and collaborated with the
occupation army. Many people in Bangladesh call
him  Razaker-e-Azam.

Gholam Azam is a hypocrite, a munafiq, who pretends
to have Islamic beliefs, but his actions belie his stated
beliefs   .... he has been very appropriately called
Gaddare Azam - the greatest betrayer .....
His jargons & rethorics about "being a Shahid" is a clear
example of his hypocrisy .....!

"Fakistan" - It is the word coined by our great poet
Kazi Nazrul Islam in 1930s in a news paper owned
by Shere Bangla A.K. Fazlul Hoque. I believe, Poet
Nazrul meant the Pakistan will a Fakistan [land
of the  swindlers ! .... Got it mister !!!!]

My post was an Exposé of hypocrisy in
the name of religion !!!!!!!

BTW, You have every right to disagree with my
views/points. .. At the lease, let us agree to disagree!

Best Regards

What took him so long?  Would it not be normal for such
a "Pakka Muslim" to become a "Shahid"  by defending his
beloved "Izlamic Refublic of Fakistan" in 1971 ?
From Bangladesh perspectives, Gholam Azam is Gaddare Azam

As I have mentioned many times, the Jamaatis are demeaning Islam by
using name of Islam for every crime it commits ...... Jamaate
Islami try to pose itself as a Pro-Islamic party but in reality  they are
the worst  hypocrites that exist on the face of this earth.

Gholam Azam himself or his Jamaate Islami as a party has never apologized
to our nation for it's misdeeds and crime against Bangladesh in 1971.
Even in his latest statement to AmaderSomoy, he is showing his adamency
and denials over his involvement in murderous activities [ Al-bodor
death Squads].
[ জ্ঞাতসারে জীবনে তিনি কোনো অন্যায় করেননি। যার জন্য তার বিচার হতে পারে। ]
Such is another facet of  hypocrisy of Gaddre Azam Gholam Azam which
is inherently imbeded in Jamaati mentality [ Gholam Azam ! nare jahannama
fe ha kahleduna ...]

It may be mentioned here that the unconditional surrender of  90,000 Paki
soilders  to  'infidel" India was worst capitulation in the whole of History of Islam.... How come the Jamaate Islami under Gholam Azam did not fight to
their last bloods? Why this Gaddre Azam let his opportunity became a
shahid in his beloved Pakistan's Jihad against Infidels of India in 1971?

'Awami League' is not a name of a political party, it's a name of "disease" of Bangladesh that generates hopes in the heart of poor masses of the land  that tomorrow will be
better day for all of us .......
'Awami League' is the disease that broke Izlamic Refublic
of Fakistan ......
