[chottala.com] Re: Fw: "WIN OR LOSE " OUR FAMILY AFFAIR !!!

Mr. Manik,

Do you know the history that Hasinas father also refused nomination to Dr. Ivy's father, Same tghing happened this time in N'Gong.
The reality is that Hasina's candidate the well known Godfather was defeated by Dr. Ivy.
If there was BNP candidate in the race we donot know the result. People rejected the candidate chosen by your Netri , that is the reality.
Dr. Ivy rcvd not only Awami votes she also rcvd BNP/Jamat votes. BNP/Jamat wanted a defeat for Hasina's nominee the Godfather. That happened.
In a sense both Hasina and Khaleda was defeated because their chosen candidate did not win the election and the people of N'gong won, because their chosen candidate won the election.
My prediction is that, Hasina learrned a good lesson from N'Gong she won't favor anymore Godfather as Awami nominee in coming days. Days of Godfatherism has gone, no Netri can rehabilate them
from now on. That is a lesson for all Netris.
If there was a race between Godfather and Taimur, Taimur could have won, If there was a race between all three nobody know who could have won.
If there was a race between Dr. Ivy and Taimur, the possibility was 50/50 for both.
Thanks.

[chottala.com] Nepal police crackdown on the peaceful assembly of Tibetan exiles [1 Attachment]

Re:  Nepal police crackdown on the peaceful assembly of Tibetan exiles

Dear Mr. Maina Kiai,

I am William Nicholas Gomes, a Bangladeshi journalist and Human rights activist.

I am writing to voice my deep concern regarding the Nepal police crackdown on the peaceful assembly of Tibetan exiles.

Our source in Nepal confirmed that on 2nd of November 2011,   Nepalese police detained more than 60 Tibetan refugees as they demonstrated in support of Buddhist monks who have set themselves on fire to protest Chinese rule in their homeland.

Our source also confirmed that Ministry of State Security (MSS) officer, along with the political sections , directed by Ambassador Yang Houlan of Chinese Embassy in Nepal  counsel with the  high officials of Nepal government and  police arbitrarily arrest, illegally  detained and tortured  peaceful Tibetan exiles .

Our source who was present in the spot during the attack of police on peaceful Tibetan said Tibetan exiles held a memorial service at Jawalakhel Settlement on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Before that there was a notable presence of intelligence officials on that area. Police surrounded the venue for the religious service and blocked the entrance before the service started.

Our source said, the Tibetan they were hanging up a giant picture of the Dalai Lama and a banner accusing China, a large number of police officers rushed towards them and took the picture and banner away. In this humiliation of the religious leaders and on protest of attack of police on peaceful assembly peaceful Tibetan then rushed into the streets to protest, whereupon the police immediately began to arrest and torture the protesters.

Many of the peaceful protesters were hit with rifle butts; many peaceful protesters were seriously injured.

Nepalese police also broke into the houses of Tibetan exiles and arrested about 20 young Tibetans.

Nepalese government has taken a strong stand against Tibetan exiles whose protests in support of their homeland have increased in recent years.

I share my serious concern has serious concerns about the new Nepali government's intentions concerning human rights and accountability. Numerous human rights organizations both national and international have raised serious concerns about repeated attempts of the government to provide blanket amnesty to the perpetrators of gross human rights violations on Tibetan exiles.

This is inconsistent with Nepal's human rights obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and denies victims their fundamental right to legal redress. The attitudes of Nepali government towards Tibetan exiles signifies the institutionalization of impunity and undermine the future prospects for the establishment of a democratic, stable Nepal based on human rights. It is time to bring this trend to an end and to put the Nepal peace process on track by addressing the issues of accountability and justice.

In light of the seriousness of the allegations mentioned above, I urge your urgent intervention on this matter.

Yours sincerely,

[chottala.com] ZIA HALL !!!!!!!

Dear all,

By choosing "ZIA HALL" as headquarter for Narayanganj City Corporation election , election commission has proved their loyality to BNP. They helped to circulate Zia's name all over the world.

So, BNP should not complain that the present AL govt has taken off Zia's name from evey corner of Bangladesh.

Respectfully,
Dr. Manik

[chottala.com] Australia topped the list of the World’s Most Positive Countries 2011

Australia is the most positive country in the world! Daily Positive (D+), a non-profit wiki-based project, has revealed today the list of World's Most Positive Countries in 2011. The homeland of Kangaroos and Wallabies has topped the list, with the United States of America and England securing the second and third positions respectively.

The list of world's 10 most positive countries 2011 is the first of its kind to recognize the positive achievements, initiatives and actions accomplished by each country of the world. Each country was assigned a score and ranked based on a number of factors, including ratings from external experts panel, global D+ volunteers/journalists, D+ social media fan, and weighted rating based on the most number of positive entries and visitors to each country page on D+.

Top 10 World's Most Positive Countries 2011 along with respective ranking points are as follows:

Country Name Total Score
Australia 4053
United States of America 2463
England 2389
China 1515
Germany 1173
Japan 1141
France 1001
Canada 965
New Zealand 864
India 852

Australia clinched the title of the world's most positive country in the global poll of over two thousand participants from all over the world. Approximately 25% of the voters quoted Australia as the top most positive country. In the global poll Australia was highly praised as one of the rare developed nation which avoided the recent global financial recession with minimal concern.

Apart from that Australian page on D+ was the most visited page in 2011. Also Australian, Japanese and the Americans were the top three nations who visited D+ the most in search of positivity.

The United States of America ranked 2nd in the global poll, however, the United States page on D+ had the most positive news entries than others.

England, France and Germany were seen as of the new global leaders, overtaking the United States in the face of the recent Arab uprising and European financial crisis.

Japan, China and India made it to the list for their respective positive achievements and actions. Japan was recognized for overcoming one of the worst nuclear fall-outs in history and still remained dignified, China made it - even being in the midst of all kinds of negative news related to human rights - because Chinese has shown the positive hardworking spirit to the world community and India was recognized for overcoming the stigma of being one of the poorest nations.

Finally, Canada and New Zealand were recognized as silent achievers.

Apart from the winners there are many notable points that came out of the world's most positive countries 2011 initiative, such as, Libyan revolution was considered as positive amidst concern about the future, Brazil's determination to come out of the shell of third world countries was considered commendable and Zambia was hailed for undertaking successful election to ensure the smooth transition of power from the incumbent to a candidate from opposition camp.
