Jamal Khan

Memory Lane, well that is where Chittagong very prominent eye Dr Zafar & his family lived, they were very old fmaily friends from the day they used to live by our residence close to Baxir hut. Interestingly I needed my eyes checked, my dad suggested I visit another Eye Dr who had his practice chamber just accross Dr Zafars, that is I think Eye Dr Rabiul Alam..

It also close to where, Rapist Srodheyo Binod Bihari resides, just behind old US Cultural Centre. Also used to be Abdullha Al Haruns NOYA BANGLA paper office...not far from KHASOGIR SCHOOL...well some their from old days may know of Jyotirmala Chaudhuri...interstingly OLI AHMEDS wife attended that school too..a mystery involving my fathers gun can only be solved by them...hint is Khastogirs Principal directed OLI's wife to do so.

Another CULPRIT is CHINMOY MUTSUDDI...well he is UNICEF...poet SHAMSUR RAHMAN understood him better as he used to be with BICHITRA..well so is THAKKUR JHI..Besharam SHARMILA..besides Indian movies and Patiala famous Cricketer...husband she is with UNICEF too so is KOFEE ANNAN..so is WARREN BUFFETT so is CHINESE...POWELL & so on..

Not far from

Sohel Taj's issue is

His father who was Prime Minster was also involved in CUB SCOUT activity. He used to visit, CUB SCOUTS in Chittagong Back then. Well so was brother Jallath.of St Placid..CUB SCOUT., Basket Refree & etc. He even visited Fajdar hat in taht capability....I belive some where TAJUDDIN was influnced by Brother Jallath. Either then Awami League administartion found out much later that Brother Jallath most probably had a controversial role in Bangladesh War...and thier is possibility him despite being behind helping funding the Satelite in Betbunia. Hist was COUP Plotter tried to influence TAJUDDIN AHMED thru Brother Jallath.I think that is where part of reasoning why Sheikh Mujib changed Prime Minister ship..he also needed some one that could have some respect and senior with in Military as Osmani Left him...Get here OSMANI is the father of KHOKA....that is the the OSMANI & ZIA arangement..

Bravo Sohel Taj,
You did the right thing by resigning from the 'rubber stamp parliament' as well as lucrative Ministerial position under brutal Hasina regime.
People  of Bangladesh will reward you in coming days for your right decision at the right time.

Re: [chottala.com] Sohel Taz resignation (from ‘power’, ist Minister & then MP) is 'sound' protest & slap to our powerful but corrupt establishment, polluted society, our spineless- unfair-bias intellectual-SUSHIL SOMAJ - media- media personals

Interesting Sohel Taj, as I said he is fairly young carries lot..they did not spare his father even if he resigned Finance Minister rank in Sheikh Mujib administration...He does not know who to go after for his families mysery. His mother did play a role in Reviving Awami League then she also stepped aside from leader ship rank..

Interstingly..his resignation letter came from MARYLAND USA...

Finance Minister...Shelu Da.Finance Major (A/K/A Kevin Micahel US Miliatry, Quaker/ Mormon tie).brother of Danty(A/K/A Steven Petrou, Petroucelli, Sadeq Hossian Khoka, Ken Bentzen & etc) Issue at heart is this DEB PAHAR of Chittagong)...well for my dear older bros..it is not their claim

The dispute originates from owner ship of DEB PAHAR...Shelu/Da...mother's father was once upon a time Principal of Chittagong College Principal. Story has it a prominent HINDU Booster of Chittagong College donated as perk to the Principal the Bunglow in Chittagong Deb Pahar as his primary residence. His entire family used to stay their..as rest of thier cousins were very fond of Shelu das mothers father as they called him BOR JEDHA...used to spend time their too. Then comes the division of India & Pakistan..He Chose to migrate to INDIA...It became an issue..what does do  with the Bunglow in DEB PAHAR as deed registration and etc was even on his name. He appartently made a deal with some one wealthy in INDIA that wished to move to East Pakistan. Rumor has it some Khan, that be A. K. Khan or Masoor Ali Khan or some one..A.K Khan famous Chittagong Jute Mill and I think they are ISPAHANI brand too..

This is what I heard groing up, Shelu Danty's mothers father that is MOHIM RANJAN BARUA had the deal finalized with the Khan with Property in INDIA. Then he went to INDIA..guess what...he was told he was not entitled to the land in India despite the agreement with KHAN...He then came back to then EAST PAKISTAN.
Well story has it KHAN had the posetion of the CHITTAGONG DEBPHAR BUNGLOW...and he was not willing to give it back...

Thus MOHIM Babu files a law suit. He wins in Chittagong High Court. That decision was appealed to then to East Pakistan Supreme Court. Their it was decreed that MOHIM Babu was not the right full owner. That meant he lost the last legal battle for posetion of the Bunglow. He appeals to Military Ruler AYUB KHAN, AYUB KHAN apparently intervened and stated that possetion of the BUNGLOW be given to MOHIM BABU story has it SUPREME COURT still did not yield. Thus MOHIM BABU lost the legal battle for the possesion of DeB Pahar Bunglow...interestingly much later ZIAUR RAHMAN did decree a small portion of DEB PAHAR to build a BUDDHIST MONASTERY...thanks to him well my older brother in law and Chittagong Intermidiate College Professor SUMONGOL MUTSUDDI were two of the  principal layman behind the Temple..this thing get complicated..that is nother days issue...the thing is My brother in laws are part of the trouble that arises from KRISNA NAZIRS wife BIROJA SUNDORI death and subseqently the death of their Second Oldest daughter that is my fathers mother...Basically they were hand picked..

Back to Mohim Babu...apprently before his death willed some money to me. That is another problem, apparently their was a rough draft of his will taht was leaked, but final draft of the will did desgnate some money in a mutaul fund to specifically to me. Apparently he was asked why not my daughter why my son...part of the thing is I am the Oldest son of the CLAN this money may be in a mutaul fund format. It was then thought MOHIM Babu loosing the residence a case of another miority getting screwed by legal system. From what I understand the real issue was Law Enforcement. They in their investigative capacity, tied this DEB PAHAR iisue to RAPE Of my mother. Who was not married then to my father though they knew of each other and even on the day of attack on my mother it is my father directed her to go to another relative instead of where she used to stay..it is the RN that lives in OHIO now though she does not remember this instance. Though the Rickshaw puller my mother was riding on was bribed by the attackers...he, did secretly cooperated with law enforcement and identifed the lead attacker to be Srodheyo, BINOD BIHARI CHAUDHURI...it is further stated that investigation reveled such a conspiracy thru BONOD BIHARI him self that not only the Hindu Booster may have been Mohim Babu nad as high as RABINDRANATH TAGORE was in one the attack...Law enforecement kept the file active did not disclose the investigation but stiffled MOHIM BABU in every step..The thing is Law enforcement invetigates crimes judges makes their ruling based on the in findings of investigation..that is in the rule of law.

I have an uncanny suspicion the MUTUAL FUND MOHIM BABU donated some money to in my name is what is know as KKR..KOHLBERG KRAVIS AND ROBERTS a hugh MUTUAL FUND among CAMEL CIGARRETTTE to OIL & etc...Just imagine US stock Market index DOW JONES INDEX was arround just 900 during the war of Bangladesh..it is arround 13,000 now a days. Just imagine fund value when it was just after the separation of India & Pakistan..stock multiply..splits and etc..it has to be quite bit of fortune...

But Mohim babu despite the request from my grand father lawyer that is his cousin. gave his son in law ..that is Shelu/Danty/ TOOK TOOK ( German educated Math Major/A/K/A Don Nickel) father that is SHASHAK BABU the right to litigate the DEB PAHAR Issue. Subject: [chottala.com] Sohel Taz resignation (from 'power', ist Minister & then MP) is 'sound' protest & slap to our powerful but corrupt establishment, polluted society, our spineless- unfair-bias intellectual-SUSHIL SOMAJ - media- media personals

In fact resignation of Sohel Taz (from 'power') is 'sound' protest and truly slap to our powerful but corrupt establishment, polluted society, our spineless – unfair - fraudulent intellectual - SUSHIL SOMAJmedia - media personals.

He tangentially asked what role was played by our spineless - bias intellectual - SUSHIL SOMAJ – media - media personals:

·         When Father of the nation, Bangabandhu was killed in 1975 along with innocent children-women
·         When his great father, 1st Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Tajuddin Ahmed was illegally and brutally killed in 1975 in custody (jail)
·         When his (local, Kapasia) close political associates (Jubo League President Jalal Uddin Sarkar) was chopped to death by a gang of miscreants in 2003 of Jamat-BNP era
·         When his (local) young supporter and Chatra League leader, Jamal Fakhir was tortured and killed in 2002 in Jamat-BNP era
·         When he was openly and brutally tortured in Dhaka by Jamat BNP police for doing hunger strike
·         When he was oppressed by Army Back Jamat-BNP minded Caretaker Government in 2007-2008

Unfortunately they have done nothing significant - except supporters-workers-leaders of his beloved Party, Awami League - to him he is grateful and told again that Awami League is his ultimate and final and last address!

Re: [chottala.com] How India created Bangladesh & lessons for Sri Lanka

About Muslims loosing property & birth right in India, I suggest you stop by INDIAN EMBASSY in Houston, it states from what I understood even decendents from that period can still claim INDIAN NATIONALITY..thier is a period they do exclude...but I think nationals prior to separation can still claim Indian Nationality..I think INDIA even allows Dual Citizen Ship...

Good luck

Pakistan was created under division of India in 1947 making foolish Muslims and making Bengali people  and Bangla language minority people  Language in India for Hindi making state language of India and Urdu for Pakistan..
After division of India Muslims people in India lost their property and birth right  in all over of India and being migrated  from India to West and East Pakistan lost their life and property.

[chottala.com] Re: Amnesty International - Bangladesh: Authorities must account for deat hs amid spate of disappearances

Re: Tajuddin Indira Pact by Debasish Barua, USA, in response to Declaration of Independence: The Controversy Continues by Obaid Chowdhury, USA.

Dear Mr. Barua,

Thanks for reading my article 'Declaration of Independence: The Controversy Continues.'

Tajuddin-Indira pact was a passing reference in the article. I am glad that it caught your attention, even though you seem have missed the main subject. For your benefit, here are the seven salient points of the Tajuddin-Indira Agreement:

1. Bangladesh will have a para-military force to be organized, equipped and supervised by India.

2. Bangladesh will procure all its military requirements from India.

3. Bangladesh's foreign trade will be controlled by India.

4. Bangladesh's development plans shall be approved by India.

5. Bangladesh's foreign relations shall be guided by India.

6. Bangladesh cannot rescind any part of these agreements without prior approval of India.

7. Indian force shall enter into Bangladesh at any time to crush any resistance or uprising.

I do not think they need further explanation.

Mr. Barua, I am not aware how old you were in 1971 and your role in our liberation war. If you are in your 50s or below, it is not expected for you to know or remember what really happened during those days. (I happened to be a small-time freedom fighter and knew some hard facts). If your knowledge of our war and the history of the subcontinent are from reading books, it depended on what books and from which angle you read them. There are much more than what catches the eye. One needs to dig deeper for truth.

A highly knowledgeable friend of mine always says, "We fought for independence for one reason (such as we could no longer stay with Pakistan). But India helped us---rather fought its own war with Pakistan---for a totally different reason." In Indira Gandhi's own words, it was for the 'hazaar salon ka badla'. I suppose you are intelligent enough to understand what that badla meant.

Maulan Bhasani once said, "It is India who should be grateful to Bangladesh, not the other way round." He was referring to the huge benefit India gained through the independence of Bangladesh. The breakup of Pakistan and the prospect of making the new country another Sikkim, were just two. The loot of sophisticated huge armaments left by 5 plus Pakistan Army Divisions was another. Major Jalil, 9 Sector Commander, was put on Court Martial because he tried to stop the Indian loot. We have lately seen the use of Bangladesh as corridor to reach India's inaccessible Seven Sisters.

Nonetheless, we are grateful to India for providing sanctuary and material support in our war. At the same time, we know what cost we had to pay for that. Indira Gandhi's hazaar salon ka badla was not possible without the help of the Mukti Bahini, which fought for 9 months, lost 3 million people---according to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who did not see the war---with colossal collateral damages. When the defeat of the enemy was imminent, India joined the war on December 4, 1971 just to accept the Pakistani surrender in less than two weeks, sidetracking the Mukti Bahini. The helicopter carrying Mukti  Bahini commander Colonel Osmani was shot and disabled over Sylhet so that he could not join the surrender ceremony.

When India entered the war in its eastern sector, Niazi's forces had already lost the fighting capability with no air power. It might have hastened the surrender but the Mukti Bahini lost an edge. The freedom fighters failed to put the Pakistanis to rout, to an utter defeat at their hands. In fact, India saved Pakistanis, not the Bengalis by entering the war in Bangladesh. India's recognition of Bangladesh on December 6 was a de facto arrangement.

India's love for Bangladesh is evident from the above 7 points! We have been through more intense love affairs since. The 7 points were expanded into a 25-Year Secret Agreement, according to some subjugation, between Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Indira Gandhi. Farrakka barrage has rendered one-third of Bangladesh into semi deserts with far reaching economic and ecological consequences. Tipaimukh is another similar contraption against Bangladesh and the present Hasina government is gleefully accepting it, as her father Sheikh Mujib did for Farrakka in 1974. The wire fencing, the daily Felani brutality, the seizure of South Talpatti, no water in Teesta, the availing of corridor through Bangladesh almost free, the flooding Bangladesh with phensedyls and other harmful drugs, the Swadhin Bangabhumi, the tribal insurgency in Hill Tracts---do I need to mention more?

Amnesty International - Bangladesh: Authorities must account for deaths amid spate of disappearances

Wednesday April 25 2012 00:05:46 AM BDT

Fatalities during protests about the disappearance of a key opposition figure seven days ago in Bangladesh must be thoroughly investigated by the authorities, Amnesty International said.

Ilias Ali, secretary of the Sylhet Division of the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) disappeared together with his driver Ansar Ali on 17 April.

His is the latest in a spate of disappearances in which security forces, including the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), have been implicated, though they deny detaining those missing.

During clashes over the disappearances between the BNP protesters and the police, two men were killed – both on 23 April.

Monawar Hossain was found dead in the Biswanath area of Sylhet with gun shot wounds, and a second man died in a Sylhet hospital of bullet wounds. According to witnesses, police had opened fire on demonstrators after being attacked with stones.

"The Bangladesh authorities must establish an independent investigation to determine how these men died and who fired the bullets, and bring to justice those responsible for these deaths," said Abbas Faiz, Amnesty International's Bangladesh Researcher.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on police to investigate the disappearance of Ilias Ali and his driver. Paradoxically she also stated the two men chose to go into hiding to "create an issue".

"Why did the prime minister order an inquiry, but then claim she knows what has happened? Any inquiry will be credible only if it is independent and free from police and political involvement – otherwise it risks simply towing the police line," said Faiz.

"There appears to be a pattern of enforced disappearances - a concerted effort to eliminate people deemed undesirable."

One trade unionist has been killed, and more than 20 people have disappeared this year.

On 4 April, Aminul Islam, a trade union leader went missing. He was found dead a day later in Ghatail, north of Dhaka.

His family saw evidence of torture on his body and suspect he was abducted by security forces. He had been previously subject to arrest and beaten by members of the National Security Intelligence for his trade union activities.

"Aminul Islam was an outspoken leader known for his ability to mobilise workers for better conditions, which made him a target," said Faiz.

Two other BNP members, Iftekhar Ahmed Dinar and Junaid Ahmed, went missing on 2 April. Iftekhar Ahmed's family say they were taken from their homes by plain clothes officers. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

Al Mukaddas and Mohammad Waliullah, members of the student organisation Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, went missing on 4 February. They have not been heard from since.

Amnesty International has spoken to family members of many of the victims, who say abductions are usually carried out by plain clothes security officers who are easily identified because they wear similar clothing, including heavy duty shoes unusual for the hot Bangladesh climate. They also have short hair.

Amnesty International has documented abductions and killings by Ban

gladesh security forces, especially the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), for years.

"These disappearances cannot be simply brushed off - it is the government's responsibility to bring the perpetrators to account, and ensure justice for the victims," said Faiz.

Re: [chottala.com] TAJUDDIN AHAMED'S SEVEN-POINT AGREEMENT WITH INDRA GANDHI

Subject: [chottala.com] TAJUDDIN AHAMED'S SEVEN-POINT AGREEMENT WITH INDRA GANDHI

Tajuddin Ahmad's seven-point agreement with Indra Gandhi
Abid Bahar

True, "Indian rulers did not want a fully independent and sovereign Bangladesh, but a client state under its hegemony, from the very beginning was made clear in a less publicized seven-point document which Mr. Tajuddin Ahmad, the prime minister of the Bangladesh government-in-exile in India in 1971, was obliged to sign as a condition for India's direct military campaign in Bangladesh accelerate the defeat and surrender of the Pakistani occupation forces and to install a puppet government in power."(1)
The seven-point document reads as follows [2]:
"(1) A para-military armed force for Bangladesh will be raised under supervision of the Indian military experts; this force shall be stronger and more active than the regular armed forces of Bangladesh .
(2) Bangladesh shall procure all military equipment from India and under planned supervision of the Indian military experts.
(3) Bangladesh shall direct her foreign trade under supervision and control of the Indian government.
(4) Yearly and five-yearly development plans for Bangladesh shall conform to Indian development plans.
(5) Foreign policy of Bangladesh must be compatible with and conform to that of India .
(6) Bangladesh shall not unilaterally rescind any of the treaties without prior approval of the Indian government.
(7) In accordance with the treaties signed before December (1971) war of Pakistan and India , Indian force shall enter into Bangladesjh at any time and shall crush any resistance that may erupt there."

Afsan Chowdhury, wrote: "Indira didn't have enough confidence in Mujibnagar ( led by Tajuddin) and set up the Bangladesh Liberation Army, Mujibbahini as it was popularly known. It was drawn up of students and youth activists led by one Gen. Ovan, a man who later supervised the raising of the Rakkhi Bahini in Bangladesh. This was done without the knowledge of Tajuddin Ahmed and his allies and many deeply resented it but Indira was buying insurance against the not so dependable allies of 1971. And to her it was India's war and not anyone else's.(3) This shows that Indra Gandhi set forth the foundations of Indian hegemony
with Bangladesh.
Alam Mahmud wrote in reaction to people bowing to India and to Indra Gandhi as"the demigod."(4) He says: "History should be assessed with facts not with emotions. We are affected by emotions. Its not honoring the friend rather bowing to the demigod. To me, Bangladesh is a by product of Indo-Pak rivalry which were magnified by the atrocities of hot-headed generals of Pakistan. General DK Palit, a veteran Indian military thinker, stated about 1971 war that the war was over before the battles were won. Indians didn't win the battles but won the war. If you go through world famous military events of that time, the liberation war of Bangladesh has no space but the Indo-Pak war bears the importance. Its their interest to disintegrate Pakistan. They intervened and we are lucky to get a new nation. What Sheikh Mujib wanted is still a mystery. We must celebrate friends but not at the cost of our own existence. Bangladesh could have been an independent state in 1947. Had there been a dominant leadership at that time? ... I think the romance of 1971 is no more relevant today. There are changes in people's mind as well. It will be better to select a middle path to deal with India."
As for Tajuddin, his glorious role in the liberation war must be celebrated but like his master Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib, he was also involved in forgiving corrupted AL goons/ smugglers, one among them was a godfather in Chittagong called Man-serumia who was captured by the Customs in Chittagong but was released by Tajuddin perhaps at the instruction of Bangabandhu Mujib himself. Tajuddin personally visited the custom's office the next day to drop the case entirely. There must be more mystery surrounding behind Tajuddin's sacrifices and betrayals, his rise and fall and his place in 'the proverbial dustbin of history.
