Re: FW: [chottala.com] Gulam Azom and 1971 - Golam Azam is the Gaddar-e-Azam of Bangladesh ...

On the other hand for lawful Administration & justice of humanity & for the cause of Human right you need to think  why had migrated they to east Pakistan what were their right &  reasons?. East Pakistan was created for the Muslim & along with Bengali Muslim to live here Indian migrated Muslim who were also the bonafied citizens of Bangladesh under the theory of 2 Nations.
The 2 nation theory is the justified foundation of creation Bangladesh. If you denied the 2 nation theory then the existence of legal Bangladesh will face the question.   If you think Bangladesh is legal you need to consider 2 nation theory is legal & non Bengali citizens were also legal citizens of Bangladesh..So the trials are deserved to the persons who were war criminals during 1971 war either Bangali Muslim or Non Bengali Muslim but why could be punished those non Bengali citizens who were innocent & who did not directly take part with pak army?   May circumstances commpelled them to take part with pak Army.but they were legal citizens of Bangladesh.
Adamjee Ispahani Bawani Dawood Kohinoor habib family had build the economy in Bangladesh by establishing mill industry in east Pakistan where there was no any industry in 1947 & had provided job & business facility to the people of east Pakistan but they were looted..
To do trailling works it must need to consider for establishing lawful administration & justice of humanity in Bangladesh..

Dear Chottala Readers,

Those migrated Indians after 1947 commonly known as Non-Bengali Biharis entered in mass in the then previous East Pakistan (presently our Bangladesh). In the beginning they had no land of their own. Bengalis welcomed them cordially, gave them lands, shelters inspite of the facts that Bangladesh a land of 54 thousands sq. miles with thickly populated area have little scope to share their small lands with others especially with those influx of vast majority of non-Bengali Biharis suddenly at a time. Bengalis co-operated with them by helping them in all aspects getting jobs and giving them jobs, co-operated with them in starting their various types of business etc in consideration as they were migrated Muslims from India. Bengali did this in view of the fact that they advocate the solidarity of Muslims as a whole, as a members of great Muslim Ummah, as in consideration the over populated Muslim population  in Bangladesh was the 2nd largest Muslim country in the world after Indonesia at that time. Inspite of all these, what Biharis or non-Bengali Muslims did with us during 1971 of our liberation war, instead of taking the side with our Bangladeshi people or instead of taking active roles in settling amicably the problems with those Pakistanis they set the Pakistanis aside against us, and themselves  took parts along with those brute Pakistani soldiers and by declaring oneness with them involved in killing right and left our Bengali people who once used to help and co-operate  them in all respects when they first entered in our Bangladesh. It proves and seems to us their intention was to dominate us in our Bangladesh later on. What dina khan is telling those Biharis were innocent during 1971 of our liberation war is not true rather those Biharis helped Pakistanis in torturing, killing and raping of our Bengalis  acted as catalyst to co-operate with those Pakistanis encouraging them to kill Bengalis with the help of our Bangladeshi Mir Jafaars Golam Azam and his  associates.

To do trial against the war criminals it is needed to clarify what does mean the war criminal. War criminal is a criminal activity can be done any side by the worriers. It needs to remember that in 1947 East Pakistan was created by dividing Bengal as division of India under the theory of 2 nations.  At that time many non Bengali people from India according to the theory of 2 Nations came to then East Pakistan & they were settled in Bangladesh as legal citizens of East Pakistan.
During liberation movement & liberation war many innocent non Bengal man woman children old people who did not directly participate in war for Pakistan  were killed & their property were looted as they were non Bengali people, It was inhumanity  very painful &  also  the act of War Criminal.
So the law should be impartial & lawful Trial system must be fair & neutral to do  lawful trial  after proper judicial investigation against of any either side  war criminals to establishing lawful social justice for humanity & lawful Administration for human right in Bangladesh.,

Golam Azam is the Gaddar-e-Azam of Bangladesh ...

Traitor Mir Zafor  Ali Khan [a foreign-born bounty hunter] was not involved in

Sangha (predecessor of Sibir) and Al-Bodor cadres committed, torture, rape &

to the 1971 Genocide in Bangladesh.

All of Jamaat's 1971 criminal acts and moral terpitudes were done
in the name of our religion Islam and thereby Jamaat's crimes were
against Islam too. Those crimes involving murder & moral turpitude
have an inherent quality of baseness, vileness, and depravity with
respect to human dignity. The Pakistani occupation regime and it's
Jamaat-AlBodor collaborator' s actions were totally un-Islamic.

Al-Bodor, Jamaate Islami  vis-a-vis Golam Azam and Nizami Gong's

families whose members were suspected of joining Mukti-Bahini
because they were not seen at  home  ...]
This is only a partial list ...

BTW, the Islami Chattro Sangha's name was changed to Islami Chatto
Sibir, because it's hands were tainted with the blood of ordinary
Bangladeshis and freedom fighters ....

Our population is growing so fast!!( 15 Crores ) but our land is so tiny to
accomodate! We have enough river , we need more fertile lands. Farakka
barrage has helped us to solve these problems. Future barrage or dam like
Tipaimukh will also help us to have extra land to accomodate our fast
growing population and more fertile land for agriculture projects.

[chottala.com] TIB trustee defends Parliament Watch report

Transparency International Bangladesh trustee Muzaffar Ahmad on Saturday defended the corruption watchdog's Parliament Watch report following remarks by prime minister Sheikh Hasina criticising the report.

The TIB in the report published last week said over Tk 5 crore and 24 hours of the House's time were wasted during the first session due to quorum problems.

Hasina, in a speech at the conclusion of the House's budget session on Thursday, termed the TIB report "one-sided" and "motivated".

Muzaffar, former TIB chairman now a member of TIB's trustee board, told reporters on Saturday, "We think the prime minister's statement is not right."

Scarred by acid in Bangladesh

The Acid Survivors Foundation treats thousands of women who are victims of acid attacks

Rahima Begum, a young woman in the village of Kaligonj in the northwest of Bangladesh, turned down the romantic advances of a neighbour and paid dearly for it.

In the dead of night, while she was asleep, her neighbour poured acid over her face, leaving her disfigured for life.

"I may be still alive but he took my life away, I have become the shame of my family and of my village. I have no where to go," she says.

According to official figures, there are only around 200 acid-related crimes reported every year in Bangladesh.

However, thousands of acid-attack victims find refuge at the Acid Survivor Foundation (ASF) in Dhaka, the capital, in any given year. Like Rahima, most victims are women who have spurned advances from men.

"The perpetrators have a strong mindset not to kill the person but to put the victim in a position that they suffer for life," Monira Rahman, the ASF's executive director, said.

The effect is to rob a woman of her beauty, thus ensuring that she will never be admired again, she said.

Reconstructive surgery

The survivors of these assaults suffer deep burns and most bear irreparable scars for the rest of their lives.

Some disfigurement can be treated through surgery, however.

Dr Ronald Hiles, a retired plastic surgeon from the UK, has spent his last two summers volunteering at the ASF, where he has been operating on victims of acid attacks and training Bangladeshi doctors in reconstructive surgery.

"The devastation that acid causes is really similar to the devastation from electricity, from alkaline, from flames or from hot water. Acid usually burns right through the skin," Hiles said.

The Bangladeshi government takes acid crime very seriously, and in the past decade has enacted many laws aimed at curbing the occurrence of this crime.

Lax enforcement

In 2002, legislation was enacted to restrict civilian access to the lethal substance.

This is an effective measure, but has not been adequately enforced. Acid is still accessible to the public, and can be purchased by the gallon for less than $3 at shops that sell industrial chemicals.

The Bangladeshi authorities have also stated that all acid related crimes will be tried within six months under a special tribunal.

John Morrisson, the founder of the Acid Survivor Trust International, an advocacy group, welcomed the move made by the government, but warns that a great many cases continue to go unreported.

"We started to collect our figures, and the more we collected, the more serious was the problem. The number of acid attacks started to increase and we could see that by 2002 there were 500 attacks a year and that the numbers were growing," said Morrisson.

Acid on infant

Eight-year-old Babli was attacked by her own father when she was only an infant.

He had purchased acid from a local shop, and then poured it into his daughter's ears and over her feet.

Her mother Ayeesha explains that he was angry that she had been born a girl.

Despite the government's promises to take these cases seriously, Babli and her mother have little hope of seeing justice done.

Babli's father poured acid into her ear, leaving her permanently disfigured
An arrest warrant was issued against Babli's father in 2002, but the police have still not taken action.

Ayeesha believes that her husband has been bribing the local police for the last five years in order to ward off arrest.

Rahman of ASF believes that such police inaction shows how deep the culture of impunity is in relation to acid attacks.

"Because of the impunity, the perpetrators are not punished," she said.

"This could encourage other potential perpetrators who have the mindset to do this. It is important to have the education to change the mind set of men."

In May 2008, ASF organised a march for Men Against Acid Attack , the first of its kind in Bangladesh.

Still, acid attacks remain a common crime in Bangladesh.

Until the law is enforced and people's behaviour begins to change, women will continue to be at risk, and cases like Babli's will remain unpunished.
