Re: [chottala.com] A new political alliance may emerge soon

To form a new political alliance first of all the political leaders who want to form a new alliance should need to study for understanding  the real political problems of Bangladesh political leadership and for knowing the solution of the political and other  problems in Bangladesh.
The main problems in Bangladesh are
1) The political leaders do not follow the lawful system to do lawful politics under lawful administration of lawful democracy and
2) And the political leaders are not honest politicians or not free from corruption and unlawful activities..
So to form a new political alliance the leaders of BDB, Gono Forum, JSD-Rob, KSJL in the lineup should be honest to do lawful democracy under lawful honest administration of lawful leadership in the system of lawful democracy.

More guide will be provided for the politicians
i) to learn what need to learn and learn
ii) to do what need to do and do

Best regards

Subject: [chottala.com] A new political alliance may emerge soon

New alliance may emerge after Eid

BDB, Gono Forum, JSD-Rob, KSJL in the lineup

A new alliance cobbling together some 13 political parties is likely
to be floated after Eid with an avowed objective of freeing the nation
from "corruption and misrule".

Talking to daily sun the leaders of those political parties said as
unrest, panic and uncertainty caused by the confrontational politics
of two major political parties- the ruling Awami League and the
opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)—has gripped the nation,
the new alliance would strive to emerge as the 'third force 'to
salvage the people from their clutches.

To form the new alliance top-ranking leaders will sit together after
the Eid, they said, adding that their main aim is to save the country
and protect the people from the 'anti-people' politics of the two
major political parties.

According to sources, the new alliance will comprise Bikalpa Dhara
Bangladesh, Gano Forum, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Rob), Krishak
Sramik Janata League, Forward Party and eight other parties.

"We are trying to form a new alliance to free the nation from
corruption, misdeeds and misrule. We have already started discussing
the issue among ourselves. And we are hopeful that after the Eid we
will be able to form the alliance," JSD president ASM Abdur Rob told
daily sun Friday. However, he said the decision to form a separate
alliance has not yet been finalised.

Talking to daily sun Bangabir Quader Siddiqui said that they want to
do something good for the people anyhow."As the country has been
passing through a critical juncture for long, we can't sit idle. We
will have to save the country and protect its people," he added.

Replying to a query whether he would join the BNP-led 18-party
alliance, Quader siddiqui said joining does not matter rather doing
something good for the country and its people is important.

"Considering the latest developments in the country's political arena,
we the like-minded political parties are now discussing how and in
what way we can save the nation," Bangabir said.

When asked about the formation of their alliance, he said it would not
be possible for them to form their alliance right now."We are thinking
that we will sit together after the Eid to complete the formation of
our alliance. And we will also formulate strategy for the next course
of action," he mentioned.

Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh secretary- general major (retd) Abdul Mannan
said they are neither right nor left."We are neither right nor left.
We want to remain beside the common people. Discussion on formation of
an alliance is going on but no final decision has been taken yet," he
added. They would take decision regarding the formation of alliance
after Eid.

"After the formation of the alliance is over, we will work as the
peoples' force. I can't disclose the total number of political parties
which have shown keen interest in joining the alliance. But I can say
we talked to at least seven political parties and have communications
with others," Mannan added.

Replying to a query he said they are not thinking of joining hands
with BNP or Awami League right now."We would like to do something
different which is expected to bring good for the people," he said.

Gono Forum secretary Mostofa Mohsin Montu said they are trying to do
something special."We are maintaining contact with other like-minded
political parties to form the alliance. And we are going to sit
together soon," he said.

He added: Addressing rally is not enough as doing something for the
people is urgently needed now.'We are trying to expand our public
contact. What we are going to do will be clear before the nation in
due course of time," Montu said.

[chottala.com] Arakandesh will be liberatede by the Rohinga Muslims

Burma's Buddhist terriorists attacking Rohinga muslims. Rohinga muslims need a seperate
homeland called Arakanstan. To liberate their homeland from Buddhist occupation, they need
Bangladeshs moral support. As muslim brothers we must support their rights od self rule and
human rights. Biddist terrorists killed and expelled thousands of Rohinga Muslims because of
weak response from seculare Hasina regime. Once this regime goes ,we hope Rohingas will
be supported for their cause by Bangladeshi government with peoples support.

Islamic militants take aim at Myanmar

By Jacob Zenn

After decades of isolation under military rule, Myanmar is opening to foreign investment and forms of democracy for the first time in a generation. The reform process, however, is now being attended by unanticipated consequences and influences, both internally and from abroad, that could undermine the country's new trend towards openness.

Recent sectarian fighting between Muslims and Buddhists in Myanmar's western Rakhine State has caught the attention of militant Islamists in South and Southeast Asia. Since May, the amount of jihadi propaganda directed towards Myanmar, a country previously unknown in the world of jihadi antagonists, has surged as perhaps thousands of Muslim Rohingyas have been forced to flee the country.

Tensions between the ethnic Rohingya and Rakhine populations in Rakhine State were mostly kept under wraps under Myanmar's previous ruling military junta. Violence erupted on May 28 after an ethnic Rakhine woman was raped and murdered allegedly by three Rohingyas in Rakhine State, and the government was unprepared for the inter-ethnic violence that soon transpired.

A cycle of violence between the two groups has since resulted in widespread arson attacks and hundreds of murders. Perhaps thousands of the 800,000 Rohingyas living in Rakhine State have recently fled to Bangladesh, which many Myanmar citizens claim is the Rohingyas' true homeland.

The violence occurs at a time of growing regional instability in the pivot area where South and Southeast Asia meet, namely the areas along the Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India's Assamese borders. At the same that Muslim Rohingyas and Buddhist Rakhines clashed in Myanmar, fighting erupted between Muslims and Hindus in India's Assam State.

Since mid-July, more than 30 people have been killed and 150,000 displaced in Assam as riots devolved into open conflict between indigenous tribes such as the Bodos and Muslim settlers in the state's Kokrajhar and Chirang districts. As in Myanmar where the Rohingyas are considered illegal Bangladeshi settlers, the Muslims targeted in Assam are accused of being ethnic Bengalis from Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has the highest population density of any country and is woefully ill-equipped to deal with an influx of refugees from Myanmar and India. Bangladesh is home to a population of 160 million people in a country the size of the US State of Iowa, which in contrast has a population of only three million people.

Bangladesh also has its own homegrown problems with Muslim extremist groups, including the Hizb ut-Tahrir, which authorities banned in 2009. The head of the Indian Mujahideen (IM), Yasin Bhatkal, is believed to be hiding in Dhaka and Chittagong, Bangladesh's two largest cities, allegedly with the help of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) spy agency.

The Bangladesh government now runs the risk of being perceived by militant Islamists as selling out fellow Muslims, a sentiment expressed in a recent surge of jihadi propaganda condemning it for not doing enough to help the inrush of refugee Rohingyas.

As is often the case with jihadi statements, the videos and essays propagated by militant Islamists about recent events in Myanmar are more rhetoric than substance. Playing up the victimhood narrative, they apparently hope to incite the global Muslim community, or ummah, and win new recruits to their wider cause against enemy "infidel" governments and countries.

While secular Bangladesh has been a target of Islamists for years, Myanmar is apparently a new member of the "infidel" club of countries that propagandists threaten in response to its treatment of the Rohingyas. Given the Myanmar military's ongoing challenges of trying to pacify internal insurgencies, including a major unresolved conflict in northern Kachin State, it is likely unprepared to raise its counter-terrorism capabilities to prevent a possible retributive plot against the country.

The most recent militant statement to target Myanmar came from Lebanon's Hezbollah, which on July 23 said in an official statement:

"The regime-owned killing machine relentlessly works on striking Muslims in different regions, with Rohingya at the forefront...This is a new racial purification trend against Muslims."

On July 20, the Taliban released a more vitriolic statement saying:

The Muslims of [Myanmar] have been facing such oppression and savagery for the past two months never previously witnessed in the history of mankind.

Mercilessly burning children, women and men like toasting sheep on fire is not only against every known law but something no man with any conscious can ever accept but unfortunately the Muslims of [Myanmar] are targets of such a gross crime. Not only that, but they are also being expelled from their lands, forcefully ejected from their homes, their wealth is being usurped and their honor looted while the whole world turns a blind eye to their plight.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, besides considering this crime a black scar on the history of mankind, calls on the government of [Myanmar] to immediately put a stop to this savagery and barbarism and halt such heart rending historical violations against humans and humanity. They should realize that this is not only a crime against the Muslims of [Myanmar] but against all humankind and especially an unforgivable crime against the entire Muslim world[1]

On July 16, The Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF), the European propaganda arm in support of al Qadea and other radical Islamic organizations, issued a recent question and answer essay called "The Genocide against the Muslims in [Myanmar]" on the jihadist website al Fidaa:

Why did this genocide begin? The Buddhist Rakhine killers placed the dead body [of the raped and killed Rakhine woman] near a Muslim village without any knowledge of the murder. The Buddhist Rakhine and Burmese (Myanmar) authority accused Muslims of killing the woman. As a result, three innocent Muslim youths were arrested. One was beaten to death, and the other two were sentenced to death by the court. The government has shown the world that they created a fake issue to instigate a real event against Muslims.

How did this genocide start and what happened afterwards? On June 3, 2012, eight Muslim pilgrims along with one escort, one bus helper, and one woman were killed by a Rakhine mob in Taungup township in southern Arakan [Rakhine] State. Five others escaped the massacreThe gang of Rakhine terrorists stopped the bus, which had the license plate 7 (Ga) 7868, at an immigration gate, and called, "Come down all, if there are any foreigners," while holding lethal weaponsThen, they started to beat the Muslim pilgrims and dragged them from the bus to the road, where an organized gang of more than 300 Rakhine terrorists beat the Muslims until they died. The gang had been standing at the immigration gate, but no authorities came out to stop the massacre. [2]

These messages and interpretations of events are starting to cause regional ripple effects. On July 13, 300 members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) and Jemaah Anshorut Tauhid (JAT) in Indonesia threatened to storm the Myanmar embassy in Jakarta. One protest leader said over a loudspeaker: "If embassy officials refuse to talk with us, I demand all of you break into the building and turn it upside down Allahu Akbar Every drop of blood that is shed from a Muslim must be paid back. Nothing is free in this world FPI is ready to wage jihad Go to Myanmar and carry out jihad for your Muslim brothers."

On July 6, the al-Faruq Foundation for Media Production released an Arabic-language video called "Solidarity With Our Muslim Brothers in Arakan (The Tragedy of [Myanmar])" on the Ansar al-Mujahideen Forum. The propaganda film includes a historical narrative focusing on Muslim victimhood played over images of brutalized Rohingyas, although some of the images appear not to have come from the recent violence. The video's narrative includes a passage that says:

They steal the money of the Muslims and they steal their crops and they prohibit the Muslims from communicating with people from other countries. They also prevent the marriages of Muslims and they put a lot of obstacles in the way of Muslim marriages. This is not all as there is a lot of injustice that you can't even imagine and all forms of torture. So where are the defenders of the human rights in the 20th century and where the people who fight for freedom and democracy. This awful silence indicates the acceptance and supporting of this because it is Muslim blood that is being shed and since it is a Muslim blood, then the blood is cheap like the blood of Muslims of 'Arakan', Palestine, Kashmir and Chechnya and everywhere else.

These and other statements have put the Rohingyas' plight on the radar of many Islamist militant groups. While their propaganda is directed at militants from all regions, some of the groups who have issued statements on Myanmar are clearly trying to recruit disenfranchised Rohingyas to their radical causes.

They have a potential galvanizing figure. One ethnic Rohingya, Abu Zar al-Burmi, is believed to be the mufti, or religious scholar, for the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan based in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region. Without roots in any nation, as Rohingyas are not allowed citizenship in Myanmar or Bangladesh, al-Burmi has promoted the creation of a global Muslim community which exists without respect to international borders.

The growing inter-religious fighting and spillover humanitarian crises in Rakhine and Assam States is exerting new pressures on Bangladesh, Myanmar, and India. As the violence spirals and governments fail to restore order and dispense of justice for crimes committed, the situation could quickly become a new regional, if not international, security dilemma.

For their part, Islamist militants have shown they are prepared to exploit the plight of the Rohingyas for their own radical purposes, while neither Myanmar nor Bangladesh have demonstrated they are able to manage the crisis at a local or national level. Should the crisis escalate and become an effective recruiting tool for transnational Islamist militant groups, the international community will one way or another eventually be dragged into the mire.

Re: [chottala.com] Commemorating Late AKM Fazlul Quader Chowdhury : Part-2

Bangladesh's Freedom Struggle continues
Abid Bahar

As a Bangladeshi, personally, I have no doubt in my mind that we should condemn in strongest terms those people who as the Pakistani razakars killed innocent citizens of Bangladesh during 1971 and even after by misleading the country and earned their name as the Bharotio razakars. There had been exception to those people such as. Bhasani who  founded the Awami League, and the Ittifaque, the two institutions that led the independence of Bangladesh but after the liberation war he led the Farakka March to oppose Indian and its puppets in Bangladesh and said for their information that in the life of a nation, today's becomes tomorrow's enemy and a nation as an independent entity should keep its interest first. He warned Bharotio razakars that, Bangladesh's" Freedom Struggle continues."

In history we have seen yesterdays heroes become today's villains.True after 1947 celebrated Congress leaders were seen as the enemies in East Bengal hurting its interest, then after 1971 celebrated Muslim League leaders were condemned as razakars, After 1975 and onward Mujib followers' Bharot love was condemned as the "Bharotio razakari" but after Hasina came to power Mujib  was reinstated as the "father of the nation, despite the fact that after the 7th March speech Mujib mysteriously began negotiation to save Pakistan. Mujib at last surrendered to the Pakistan army perhaps to save himself and his family than the life of the common people, the latter became the victims of Pakistani genocide. Mujib's family was even fed by the Pakistani allowance all through the liberation war.

More astonishing of all, during the war when people were spending sleepless nights, Hasina in her joy had even her joy born in Dhaka. After the liberation Mujib returns home and claims for himself the title " Father of the nation." As the father he had over 35000 Bangladeshi people killed by his Rakhi bahini, opposition newspapers were banned, he established a one party BKSAL that earned him the title, "the killer of infant democracy" is again awarded the "father of the nation" by Hasina and almost every important place in Bangladesh was named after him sometimes removing the name of Bhasani and Ziaur Rahman. This type of politics of ownership is fascism by Hasina who should be tried for her activities during the liberation war and after. But surprisingly, Hasina is the biggest advocate of trying the 1971 razakars, In reality Hasina should be the number 2 razakar and Ershad who during the liberation war came back to Bangladesh to meet his family and returned back to Pakistan to join his job should be the #3 razakar. This was when Bengalis were escaping Pakistan to join the liberation army in Bangladesh.Ershad is even enjoying his freedom in Hasina's Mohajot. Nobody Awami freedom fighter talks about him. This is how the true razakars are now working as the true freedom fighters.

Who is a dangerous razakar?
In her second term in office, Hasina allowed transit to India for free, her government supporting Indian border killing of Bangladeshis, Rohingya killing by Burma, and allowing India unconditional support in every spare of its aggression, she has lately earned the title "Bharotio razakar." Not just that she is the most dangerous razakars of all.

Not that "Bharotio razakars in her RAW appointed ministry are enjoying the lime light,  when her term ends perhaps not a coincidence but like Mujib the AL's "best Bengali of all times and" but the "killer of the infant democracy " the " Bharot Premik" these people will be removed to the cold storage room. When they will be back to power again as a matter of promoting Indian agenda in Bangladesh, they will start selling Bangladesh liberation war, razakar trial for their advantage.  But the truth is "freedom continues" whether against the "Pakistani razakars" or "Bharotio razakars" because Bangladesh is fighting against oppressors and their puppets (razakars).

Having said the above, one must give credit to Mujib especially for his 7th March speech which caused a civil war,but no doubt, after which he continue to betray with his people in a gigantic way. If we can appreciate Mujib for his good deeds and condemn for the bad ones, why not we give credit to FKC for his institution building efforts in Chittagong should get some appreciation. It was also because Chittagong as the most important place after Dhaka was going to deprived of a possible establishment of a university. FKC worked hard to actualized this plan which made him the enemy of many. He was also the founder of the beautiful Chittagong Medical College and many other institutions from which many people of Chittagong and outside truly benefited in Chittagong.

If there are Bangladeshi patriots who wouldn't accept Mujib's hypocrisy during the war and after and condemn him for his fascist rule in the post liberation Bangladesh, so also we should condemn F. C.'s anti liberation war involvement in strongest terms. But as they say you shouldn't throw the baby with the bath water.

Again, talking about who is a true razakar, unfortunately, after the liberation, I have seen some razakars became Awami Leagures and even had the freedom fighter certificates.  I have seen the razakar, who burned down many Hindu houses, who with his gang shot at me but missed me for their lack of training later became an AL about the time  when I left the AL for Moni Sing Communist party. To my knowledge, the said razakar managed to have even a freedom fighter certificate.

There are others after 1971 freedom fighters like Shahriar Kobir, who during the liberation war had his home made spicy korma hot birani to eat prepared by his mother and could even rest without any anxiety when some of us were starving in the jungle of Mizooram. These after 1971 freedom fighters awaken after the war became the fierce freedom fighters and the greatest supporter of Indian politics in Bangladesh. There are many extremist korma birani wala Shahriar Kabir extremists among us whose real motives are coming into the picture. Some of these "Indian razakars" are reportedly have some West Bengali Indian connection, silently promoting their Indian dada's so-called "progressive agenda" in Bangladesh.

Finally, if we believe that in the life of a nation, freedom struggle continues and that today's heroes become tomorrow's villains for supporting the enemies of the people, and if we believe that we have to be alert to fight against such people who are destroying  the future of the nation, who are selling Bangladesh by doing razakari of India, then it is not the Pakistani razakars, we have to worry about at this time; it is the "Bharotio razakars" who are active and the most dangerous "razakars" to be worried about for the future of the country, and surely, if we have to believe in the dynamic consciousness of our freedom struggle, we have to believe that"Freedom struggle continues."

ALL THE PAKISTANI LOVERS SAY THE SAMETHING. THEY ARE SCARED ASHAMED TO SPEAK ABOUT THE BANGLADESH LIBERATION WAR OF 1971. WHEN THIS TOPIC COMES, THEY REFER THE 70 YEARS OLD STORY OF PAKISTANER CHETONA, BUT THEY FORGET THAT THEY ARE NOW LIVING IN INDEPENDENT BANGLADESH LIBERATED FROM PAKISTAN THROUGH THE FREEDOM FIGHTING WAR IN WHICH THEY FOUGHT TO SAVE PAKISTAN AGAINST THE LIBERATION OF BANGLADESH.

Dear Ali
For many people word "Razakar" became a word to escape from reality.  It seems like anybody who did not support the vision of India before 1971 are being called Razakar. I hope people read history going back at least for last 70 years.  I hope you do the same...

[chottala.com] Myanmar security forces instigate violence against Muslims: UNHCHR

Myanmar security forces instigate violence against Muslims: UNHCHR
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR) Navi Pillay speaks during a press conference in Islamabad on June 7, 2012.

Reports indicate that the initial swift response of the authorities to the communal violence may have turned into a crackdown targeting Muslims, in particular members of the Rohingya community."

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay says Myanmar security forces are instigating violence in the country, calling for an investigation into the persecution of Muslims in the Asian state.

"We have been receiving a stream of reports from independent sources alleging discriminatory and arbitrary responses by security forces, and even their instigation of and involvement in clashes," Pillay said in a statement issued on Friday.

"Reports indicate that the initial swift response of the authorities to the communal violence may have turned into a crackdown targeting Muslims, in particular members of the Rohingya community," she added.

Reports say 650 Rohingya Muslims were killed as of June 28 alone during clashes in the western region of Rakhine. This is while 1,200 others are missing and 80,000 more have been displaced.

The government of Myanmar refuses to recognize Rohingyas, who it claims are not natives and classifies as illegal migrants, although the Rohingya are said to be Muslim descendants of Persian, Turkish, Bengali, and Pathan origin, who migrated to Myanmar as early as the 8th century.

The UN human rights chief reiterated that the invitation of UN investigator Tomas Ojea to Myanmar to observe the situation is "no substitute for a full-fledged independent investigation" into the Rakhine violence.

Pillay also highlighted the importance of giving a chance to suppressed and affected people to speak freely to the UN investigator to air their grievances.

Thousands of Rohingya Muslims are living in temporary accommodation after fleeing violence in the south Asian state.

Over the past two years, waves of ethnic Muslims have attempted to flee by boats in the face of systematic oppression by the Myanmar government.

[chottala.com] UN calls for inquiry into Myanmar riots

UN calls for inquiry into Myanmar riots
UN human rights chief says forces sent to quash violence in Rakhine state reportedly targeted Muslims.
Last Modified: 28 Jul 2012 11:17

Clashes between Buddhists and Muslim Rohingyas, which erupted in June, has left at least 78 people dead [Reuters]

The UN human rights chief has called for a "prompt and independent" investigation into the ethnic violence in Myanmar's Rakhine state.

Navi Pillay said on Friday that an initial move by Myanmar security forces to quash violence in the restive Rakhine state has reportedly turned into a crackdown against Muslim minorities.

"We have been receiving a stream of reports from independent sources alleging discriminatory and arbitrary responses by security forces, and even their instigation of and involvement in clashes," the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said in a statement.

"Reports indicate that the initial swift response of the authorities to the communal violence may have turned into a crackdown targeting Muslims, in particular members of the Rohingya community."

Clashes between Buddhist ethnic Rakhine and Muslim Rohingya communities which erupted early June in the western Myanmar state has left at least 78 people dead and 70,000 homeless, Pillay's office said, according to official figures.

Unofficial estimates of the death toll were higher, her office added.

Pillay urged the government to "prevent and punish violent acts" and said she was dismayed at the derogatory language used against the Rohingya by state and some independent media, as well as by some users of social networking websites.

While welcoming Myanmar's invitation to UN investigator Tomas Ojea Quintana to visit from July 30 to August 4, Pillay said it was "no substitute for a fully-fledged independent investigation" into the Rakhine violence.

She also pointed out that it was "important that those affected from all communities in Rakhine are able to speak freely" to Quintana.

An estimated 800,000 Rohingya live in Myanmar, and the government considers them to be foreigners while many citizens see them as illegal immigrants from neighbouring Bangladesh and view them with hostility.

Re: [chottala.com] Govt becoming friendless at home and abroad

CHOLAEY CHOLEY, SHEIKH MUJIB HAS ADVOCATED NON ALIGNED FOREIGN POLICY, HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND IT SOME DAY...IT MEANS, WE DO NOT SUCK UP TO ALL MIGHT'S..you may call it Pro Soviet then..may be so...as long as you follow in the name of Friendly Countries guidance with blind faith...you are to find your self in same mess over an over...

Sheikh Mujib also emphasized SHANIRBHAR ANDOLON...that means SELF RELIANCE...

Well you might want your house hold decision dictated by others...I want them dictated by myself..that is the difference..I my self understand where my best interest and my family's best interest lies..I do not like being bullied or intimidated when I make my decision as long as decision does not, break the law..govt has no one else should but in...

If that continues...every house hold makes .best decision for them selves...I think eventually that is the best interest for every one..

Govt becoming friendless at home and abroad: Analysts

‘Discontent all around as people’s hopes shattered’

After three years of forming the government through a historic
election victory, Bangladesh Awami League is seemingly becoming
isolated and friendless at home and abroad due to alleged
misgovernance and failure to fulfill the high hopes and aspirations of
the people.

The confidence of the people in Awami League has largely been
shattered by the government’s inability to fulfill its electoral
pledges, including price control, handling power gas and water crises
properly and containing crime and corruption.

According to analysts, many diehard supporters of Awami League now
appear disillusioned with the Awami League government led by Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina as their hopes for recovery from deepening
crises are fading fast, especially the uncertainty over the
construction of Padma Bridge following the scrapping of World Bank
financing has let down the whole nation and sparked bitter criticism
of the government.

According to sources, the Awami League government is increasingly
becoming friendless at home and abroad.

Distance has been created between the government and the United States
besides donor agencies like World Bank.

A number of countries in the Middle East are not happy with the
government on different issues.

Even at home, the rulers have created wide distance with the lawyers,
doctors, teachers, journalists and other professionals.

The business community also expressed grave discontent at the excesses
of the government leading to harassment of the businessmen. â€Å"If the
trend continues, the government will have to face a tough situation at
home and abroad in the coming days, maintain many an analyst.

Centering Dr Yunus alone, multiple constraints have developed in the
relation of the government with the United States. The government has
not made any effort to improve the strained relations.Rather, the
anti-US statement made by Deputy Leader of Parliament Sajeda Chawdhury
has surprised the international experts.

Not only Sajeda Chawdhury, food minister Dr Abdur Razzak has also
spoken against the US.He has accused CIA of killing Bangabandhu.

Diplomats who are well- wishers of AL feel that such â€Å"irresponsible
statements by highly placed people are unfortunate and likely to
create bad diplomatic instances. They stressed that consequence of
creating bad relation with a country like the USA can never be good.

On the other hand, none has taken any realistic step to narrow down
the distance with the World Bank (WB).Rather the government leaders
are making such statements which may cause further deterioration in
the relations. In this regard, economist DR Debopriya Bhattacharya said
positive steps have to be taken for the advancement of the WB project.

Otherwise, a disquieting situation will be created for Bangladesh.Top
businessmen of the country are facing harassment in different ways.

Trade and commerce are now controlled by political manipulators,
critics said. Businessmen other than highly fortunate Summit Group are
being affected extremely.

Under these circumstances, industrial entrepreneurs are very much
worried. Abu Alam Chawdhury, a director of the apex body of
businessmenâ€â€-FBCCIâ€â€-said, â€Å"The businessmen are subjected to repression
during every government.

The government feels it unnecessary to build relations with greater
business community if it has relations with a small group.

There exist good relations between this government and a number of
pro-BNP businessmen.A small group close to the government is carrying
on brisk business in association with the pro-BNP businessmen.

The education sector is restive due to party politics and the teachers
are worried over this.

Intense discontent is prevailing among the journalists over the murder
of Sagar and Runi. The journalist community is aggrieved as the
mystery of the double murder is yet to be unearthed.

Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) president Iqbal Sobhan
Chawdhury said the country’s media and journalists are being attacked
for speaking against corruption, but the government is failing to take
any action.National Press Club president Kamal Uddin Sobuj said the
journalists have united to realise their demands.

Divisions and discontent have been created among the leaders of
AL-backed Sammilita Ainjibi Samonnay Parishad over the nominees of its
panel in the ensuing Bangladesh Bar Council elections.Due to such
divisions over selecting candidates, there is rising apprehension of
pro-Awami Leaguer’s defeat in the polls.

A record has been created in politicisation in the police
administration. Extreme discontent exists at the filed-level due to
appointment and transfer of police personnel on party and regional
consideration. The chain of command of police is on the brink of
collapse.

Former IGP Abdul Kaiyum has said, â€Å"The number of incidents of
politicisation in police is the highest which may trigger indiscipline
in a disciplined force like police.

[chottala.com] Photos on Slaughter of Muslims in Myanmar [1 Attachment]

[Attachment(s) from Nayan Khan included below]

Look how Muslims in Burma (Myanmar) are slaughtering, BBQing, burning, torturing by so called a peace-loving people, monks.
Most surprising to see the role of Int'l human rights organizations, Noble Peace laurent Aung Sun Suu chi, and even our Muslim world!

Muslim countries in the middle east are busy with Syria, South Asian Muslim countries are busy with perpetrating Western, India. They have little time to look into such drastically human rights violation.

Pictures are too graphic, please be careful to watch them!

Also consider the heartless and shameless silence of the governemnt of Bangladesh -the most neighbouring country of these victims.

রোহিঙ্গাদের আশ্রয় দেয়া সম্ভব নয়: প্রধানমন্ত্রী

Also count your own role against such atrocities against these helpless Muslim brothers.
