[chottala.com] Re: [notun_bangladesh] Climate Change and the Issue of Settling the Bangladeshis: They could be Settled in South American Countries

Dear All,

The climate change issues are perhaps becoming grave each day and, as a nation, we need to do something. The climate change is a global issue and the West is to be blamed most heavily for it and countries like bangladesh is getting all the negative impacts for it. I believe a global fund for climate change be quickly set up (no more false hopes) and allow Bangladesh and some of the deeply affected countries to be the major stakeholders of this fund. This fund need to be utilized in developing adaptive technology, exploration of alternative energy and improved technology and crop management for future sustainability. Some of the fund has to be given for global awareness campaigns so as to reduce waste and recycle and re-use waste. We also need to work on restraining our appetite for run away consumerism.

Take care.

Mr. Bahar,

We may not have to be climate change refugees after all , only if we learn the tachnology of reclaiming land from the sea and train our rivers then we would not have to worry about it.

If our government was indeed smart then it could make some fortune out of the global food cricis . Our farmers are one of th best in the world. It is no joke to feed 150 million  people in  acountry having sa land mass of 147,000 Sq Km. In otherword the small state o Wisconsin feeding half of USA.

Our Peace keepers working in Africn countries have prepared good grounds for bangladesh. . We can now enter into agreement with those countries on share cropping on mutually bengicial terms. We could also train their agricutural scientist here in bangladesh and engage our farmers in African countries to grow more food which could be beneficial for both .

Climate Change and the Issue of Settling Bangladeshis
Abid Bahar
Climate Change and the Issue of settling Bangladeshi climate refugees is becoming the talk of the small towns in the Global village. Questions asked, where to settle the 20.5 million Bangladeshis? The unfriendly India has been killing Bangladeshis in border areas through target practice even before the latter become refugees due to climate change and forced to take shelter in the north West Indian mountains. Last years death from the the unfriendly India's target shooting was 700.
South American countries like Argentina, Venezualia and Brazil could be approached by Bangladesh embassy/ Western governments to accept the proverbial hard working, friendly and moderate Bangladeshis. These countries are sparsely populated.

After all during the World Cup, Bangladeshis almost always support Argentina and Brazil. Also, two years ago, at the news of Argentina's defeat,a Bangladeshi from Barisal even committed suicide. I don't know the details, but I think there is a love connection and it is a love that should be respected.
