Plastic missile thrown by BNP MP Papia at High Court judges

Mrs. Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia, BNP MP and lawyer had allegedly thrown a plastic object at judges after they termed the BNP chief's remark on the constitution seditious.

 

Some lawyers said they saw Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia, a BNP lawmaker, to throw the object when the court plunged into a pandemonium.

 

The opposition lawmaker Mrs. Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia, hurled a plastic missile at a High Court bench yesterday (2.8.2011) as the packed courtroom exploded into chaos after the High Court judges observed that Khaleda Zia's recent comments (more disgraceful comments made by Maulana Fazlul Haq Amini, after Khaleda's comments ) about the constitution are tantamount to sedition, witnesses said.

 

 

Mrs. Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia, centre, is also a lawyer who allegedly had thrown a plastic object at judges. Pro-BNP-Jamaat lawyers demonstrate on the Supreme Court premises yesterday (2.8.2011) protesting a High Court bench observation against opposition leader Khaleda Zia.
