[chottala.com] PM-Army meeting - Thikana Report [Kar Hate Khomota]

Oh, yes !!! Bangladesh Army's role behind CTG in-effect helped
BAL to win massive election victory .....
.
What has happened was essentially: "Man Proposes,God Disposes"
As we all know the initial objective was to implement the
much acclaimed Minus-2 Formula and installation of the Kings Party ...
but the devils were in the details ....in the process the political machine
and the election engineering plans of the  vested group [4-party jote]
collapsed ...the CTG and the Election commission [with Army behind]
had no other choice but to hold a free and fair election  ,,,,, as a result
what we see is  the emergence of victorious BAL .......

Of course, there were many  other factors ..in this complex historical
process .[like (1) politics of hate mongering, intimidation (Desh bachao),
"Islam in jeopardy" did not work ......
Remember, Khaleda Zia repeatedly invoked religion, proclaiming that a
vote for the BNP was a vote to "save Islam" (2)Anti-incumbancy factor
(3) Hawa Bhobon Prince Tarek & Koko Matters (4) The issue of Jamaat's
collaboration with Pak-Army in 1971 in our victory-month of December etc ...].

But, the prime factor that helped BAL was mainly a Fair election and
Army's neutral position at the end for which it must be applauded....
The BAL's landslide victory was beyond everyone's [including Army's]
pre-election calculations, "educated" guesses amd imaginations !!!!...

Note:  on December 25th 2008 we saw :"LISA predicts that the BNP led
alliance will win the election. "  ......

Even the high-level players in palaces & barracks were expecting that there
would not be a clear majority for any particular party, and they will be able to
make their moves on the chess board.and play their own manipulation-games ..
Again,  we should not that forget there is many a slip between the cup
and the lip. [as always   .....]

Our dear Kutta bhai Ershad has said publicly that with out the support of the army Awami League could never have come to power. None from Awami League proteseted or challenged this statement. I guess what he said is correct and the army chaps also know it. The army therefore feel let down by the government and hence is the resentment. This is quite uderstandable.
