Mujib-Indra Treaty of 1974
"According to the Mujib-Indira Treaty signed in 1974, the midstream of border-rivers defines the boundaries of the two countries." Indian government has taken measures to protect riverbank from erosion by training the river, building groins and dumping boulders and brick-chips on the bank along Sodhpur and Jalalpur areas in 24 Parganas.
Mujib's short-sightedness and dependence on Indra's India India led Mujib to develop Bangladesh as the bottomless buskat case and the 1974 treaty also helped the Chanaikka India but for the small Bangladesh to even lose fragments of Amer Sonar Bangladesh. Mujib being agitator didn't help in this statesmanship role.
