Subject: [toitomboor] Mrs. Shamsunnahar Chowdhury passes away
We are to inform with a heavy heart that Mrs. Shamsunnahar Chowdhury,
mother of Toitomboor Advisory Board Member Mr. Mahmudul Hasan, passed
away at Centre Point Hospital of Chittagong on 14th January at 9.10 am
due to old age complications. (Innalillahi ... raziun). She was about
75. She left behind 2 sons and 5 daughters, 6 grandsons and 6
granddaughters along with a host of relatives, friends and well-
wishers. It may be mentioned that she was the only daughter of
journalist Shamsul Alam, eldest brother of noted litterateur Mahbub ul
Alam of Chittagong.
Pls pray for the salvation of the departed soul. You may send a note
of condolence to the family of the deceased at consea@bttb. net.bd.
First namaz-e janaza was held on the same day at Kazem Ali High School
premise after Asar while while the second namaz-e janaza was held at
the Jami Mosque in her in-laws' village Hashimpur of Chandanaish thana
after Isha. After that Mrs. Chowdhury was buried at the graveyard near
to the mosque of her in-laws
