Re: [chottala.com] Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury on Matiur Matters.

Dear Mr. Shamim:

Salaam. No it is not unpatriotic to talk about Bangladesh if you're in abroad. That's the sole reason I'm in the Chottala Forum therefore, I will be able to talk about Bangladesh and in particularly Chottagram.

We are here to talk about how to solve problem in Bangladesh/Chottagram by having productive/constructive discussions. Throughout the Chottala forum, we initiated couple of good ideas and took a few steps to something good for Chottagram.

The main difference between the writers of Chottala Forum and Mr. Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury is that.... here in our forum we are trying to accomplish something good with our writings and also trying to unite our nation by talking about unity and love where as Mr. Chowdhury is keep lecturing Bangladeshi politicians by living UK and trying to divide us in whatever ways he can and that's my problem. If you read his article regularly, pls send me some where you can find some solutions for ordinary Bangladeshi people instead of political waste.

If he does care about BD so much why he doesn't at least visit BD as often as we do? I never initiated any political mail in this from and Insha'Allah I never will. However, sometime it's very hard to digest one sided story therefore; I tend to response some postings.

Thanks in advance for your time.
May Allah bless us all.

Fi Amanillah.

Dear Mr. Helal
I am living in USA.  Does it mean I don't have any right to talk about Bangladesh or any Bangladeshi?  If I talk, I will be an unpatriotic?

If Mr. Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury don't have any right to talk about Bangladeshi because he is living in UK, how about Chottala forum.  So far I know most of the Chottala members are living in abroad. Are they unpatriotic?
Dear Mr. Halal! ----According to your logic, If you are not in UK, you may not have right to talk about Mr. Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury?

Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury on Matiur Matters.

Dear All

Please read Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury's openion on
Matiur Matters in today's Daily Shomokal [September 25,2007].
Essentially, he says that it was enough for the Editor
Matiur Rahman to admit  the mistake and seek apology
from the readers.

He expresses his anger on the infentile disorder of the
young cartoonist. He says that he is equally angry on the
demagogue fundamentalist cliques and their ill-motivated
endeaouver to raise tension. He describes Motiur Rahman's
actions as shameless surrender and capitulation.

Motiur Rahman has not only disgressed himself but has
brought ultimate dishonor to the group of courageous
Journalists in Bangaladesh who fight with odds during
every crisis.

Motiur Rahman is not only a leftist himself but was an
editor of a left-weekly [Ekata] he mentions.
