ASKING THE WRONG PERSON THE RIGHT QUESTION!
Talking about the malice of student politics, history shows, Mujib was the founder of Chatro League and the organization's cadre politics in Bangladesh. Personally, my political career began with Chatro League and Chatro union (B team they called.) My research however shows, in addition to his powerful demagogy, Mujib was a powerful South Asian fascist; many of Mujib's former devotees (hero-worshipers), cadres are now grown up Mujibbadis/ even historians. They fail to understand that Mujib's fascist culture became part of Bangladesh's student culture manifested in their cadre politics. As a proven fascist, Mujib was also the killer of the infant democracy in Bangladesh! Abusive leaders in nowhere on earth is celebrated as the father of the nation!
Many Mujib sympathizers/ proto historians overlook this crucial aspect of Mujib's very dark side and continue to blame BNP,/ Jamat/ and others for the growth in Chatro League anarchy ( Jamat intrusion into Chatro League). They keep worshiping this 1971 absentee leader, calling him" even the best Bengali," "father of the nation. etc."This is the man who killed over 30 thousand of his own people in a little over three years.Celebrating Mujib is the Daily Star, Prothom Alo and also the main stream trend in Bangladesh. In not understanding the trend, we are always asking the wrong persons the right question!! In not understanding the issue, as a nation, we are also slowly heading for disaster!
