Re: FW: [chottala.com] Chittagong 1971

Pakistan Army arrested AL top leader on 25 March.

25 March is not the Independence Day of Bangladesh.

Because

AL leader did not get chance to declare on 25 if he declared before arrest

Why is not celebrated 25 March as Independence Day of Bangladesh?

The real history AL leaders failed to take right decision in right time.

Writing untrue can not destroy real true.

Major Zia declared on 26 March himself as President and Chief of Army of Independence Bangladesh asked the world nations to recognize Bangladesh as Independent country.

And 26 March is Independence Day

Later on 27 March second time Zia declared on behalf of Bangubhundu

But 27 March or 7 March is not Independence Day or not 25 March .

It is real history.

Dear Mr. Helal U Ahmed,

Thanks for your raising the question about the declarer of independence of Bangladesh by the then Major Ziaur Rahman. We have noticed many learned columnists used to write by ignoring the name of late Ziaur Rahman although mass people at that time listened the voice of Ziaur Rahman from Kalur Ghat Radio Station (commonly known as Kalur Ghat Betar at that time).

Dr. Siraj Uddowllah.

Asslamualaikum Sir.

Thank you for enlighten us with the piece of history.

Sir, i think you mistakenly forgot to mention about late Ziaur Rahman's declare of independence (once by himself and once on behalf of Bongobondhu) in your article.

You may write another one to accommodate the missing parts unless you intend to exclude Zia’s role during those unforgettable days.

Vala thaikkun.
Helal
