Hasina's Secularism: Living in Pronob Dada's Fools Paradise

It is an excellent article by Zakir Hossain" গণতন্ত্র হত্যাকারী বাকশাল দিবস আজ" recording what happened during Mujib's short lived rule called the BKSALi period. If we recall, we remember, when Hasina entered into politics, she herself acknowledged her father's mistakes and instead of starting the BKSAL she revived the Awami League abandoned by Mujib. She also asked for forgiveness from the countryman for Mujib's many misdeeds, prominent among them is BKSAL killing Bangladesh's infant democracy.
Mujib contemporary historians note that Mujib not only founded the BKSAL, he also founded the pro-Indian and anti Muslim politics (Dhormo hinota) in Bangladesh politics. Immediately after independence, his fellow secularists removed the recitation of the Koran from Radio Bangladesh. But his was the beginning now Hasina in her second term has expanded Mujib's dream of BKSALI sonar Bangla in other directions as well: Mujib gave India Barubari, Hasina allows India to gain free transit from Bangladesh and this was neither mentioned in her election pledge nor she had a national referendum to be in a position to unilaterally allow India a transit to its north East. In this one sided friendship, Indian ships and giant tracks are allowed to cross over Bangladesh but the little Falani gets killed by the caste conscious anti Muslim BSF.
Hasina is fooling people the people to favor India, she allows India building dams and her ministers giving the countryman explanation that India is actually helping Bangladesh. Hasina also quietly took the initiative of Mujib's unfulfilled BKSALI dream of establishing district governors; she is loaning billions of dollars from donor agencies and in the name of development helping her corrupt ministers to pocket most of the money but she sues Khalida and Tarik for being corrupt. Almost all of her ministers are anti Islamic and pro-Indian; from the AL general secretary to the law minister to the water minister. They say ridiculous things as if they receive salaries from Indian government.
AL's anti Islamic stand is quite clear. Lately there is a news that the alleged military coup leader Major Ziaul Haque was in contact with Rohingya Muslims without saying how. It is too easy to blame the victim, the Rohingyas who in Arakan are going through genocides. It is to note that the AL is anti Rohingya and anti Muslim. AL minister Ashraful Islam lately said, he is neither a Muslim nor a Hindu, he also said he is not bothered by Indian border killings of Bangladeshis. This seems like he is an agent working only for money. If we recall Mujib's ministers, we see similar comments made by Mujib himself who asked the tribals in the Chittagong Hill Tracts' "Tomra Bangali Hoyajao"(You better Become Bengalis) triggering reaction from Manobendro Larma, saying his people are not Bengalis nor they wish to be Bengalis in the future. Mujib in his short rule turned Bangladesh into a "bottomless basket." Hasina's rule is leading Bangladesh to an unavoidable anarchy. Like in Mujib's time, Hasina's important ministers holding key positions in Bangladesh government making callous statements is truly worrisome about their commitment to their country. It seems that those loyal minister's words and actions show that they were chosen by Indian experts on Bangladesh (RAW) located in West Bengal. We know that this type of secularism that Hasina's AL uses was originally tailored for Mujib by our West Bengali Dadas only for Bangladesh.This type of secularism is not about Dhormo Nirophota (secularism such as Bhasani believed), This is Mujib's secularism (dhorma hinotha). It is to note that like most leaders, Bhasani, Hasina, Ershad, Zia, Sk Mujib never went for haj. Hasina's politics of haj only before election has become notoriously famous. Thus, Mujib-Hasina's secularism was meant to be anti-Islamic.
Mujib however realized quite late that Bangladesh's Bengali culture was founded on Muslim-Hindu and Buddhist culture. But it was too late for him to keep his popularity. Since Muslims are close to 90% of the population, Bangladesh culture is 90% Islamic.It is true, the proIndian Mujib followers known as the "Indian razakars"and their BKSAL's anti Islamic works are not going to be appreciated by Bangladesh's truly secular (Dhormo Nirophekho) Bangladeshis.
Finally, Indian agenda to make Bangladesh dhorma hin (anti Islamic) didn't work with Mujib, (a demagogue non intellectual) who failed to understand this phenomenon early on and began to lose his hold on power in a short period of time. And the power hungry Hisina ( who lately cancelled the CTG) seems depends more on Indian help for her existence and a staged election win.
Hasina is now dancing with the devil Pronob dadas and surely living in a fools paradise. Sadly though, the ordinary AL followers fail to understand the depth of Indian spell cast on the withering of Bangladesh through AL pro Indian AL politics in Bangladesh.
