Dear Respected Community Members:
On behalf of EKTARA, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the members of our community for making "EKTARA Folk Festival 2011" featuring the drama "Mohajoner Nao"- a grand success. This cultural extravaganza to celebrate the rich folk heritage of Bangladesh was held at the auditorium of West Springfield High School, Springfield, VA on Saturday, 24 September 2011. Words cannot express enough how much appreciative we are for the accolades that the community have given to us. Thank you!
Our special thanks go to Honorable Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United States H. E. Mr. Akramul Qader for his well wishes and inspiration. Thank you Mr. Jashim Uddin, Deputy Chief of Mission, for boosting our morale through your encouraging words. We would also like to thank Mr. Sheikh Mohammed Belal, former Deputy Chief of Mission and Mr. Nazmul Haque, First Secretary (HOC) along with all the staff and their spouses of Bangladesh Embassy in Washington D.C. for their support on making this a successful event.
EKTARA will forever be grateful to Mr. Shakoor Majid, writer of the drama "Mohajoner Nao" and "Subachan Natya Shanghya", especially Mr. Sudip Chakrabarty for their valuable suggestions and guidance. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
