Jamat-BNP Police jumped on Mr. Sohel Ta, MP, son of 1st Prime Minister of Bangladesh and national leader late Mr. Tajuddin Ahmed.
Police tore his dress and then police beat him down to the street pavement.
He was joining a mass Hunger strike - a peaceful and non destructive protest by Awami League in Dhaka at Osmani Uddayn on 24th March 2002 against Human Rights violation after the election of 2001
Former Agriculture Minister Mrs. Motia Chowdhury was taken to police vans after she is detained during the Awami League-called massed hunger strike.
