 TWO OF MY RECENTLY PUBLISHED BOOKS WILL BE LAUNCHED ON JULY 30, SATURDAY AT 4.15 P.M. AT THE THEATER INSTITUTE, CHITTAGONG (ADJACENT TO CHITTAGONG CENTRAL SHAHID MINAR, RIFLE CLUB). THE FIRST BOOK IS ON HIGHER EDUCATION AND THE SECOND ONE ON CONTEMPORARY BANGLADESH (POLITCS). THE BOOKS ARE COMPILATION OF MY SELECTED COLUMNS EARLIER PUBLISHED IN SOME NATIONAL DAILIES. DR. A K AZAD CHOWDHURY, CHAIRMAN OF BANGLADESH UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION (UGC) HAS KINDLY AGREED TO BE THE CHIEF GUEST. PROFESSOR ANUPAM SEN, VICE CHANCELLOR OF PREMIER UNIVERSITY OF CHITTAGONG WILL PRESIDE. THE DISCUSSANTS WOULD INCLUDE THE VICE CHANCELLOR OF CHITTAGONG UNIVERSITY PROF. ANWARUL AZIM ARIF; PROF. ALAMGIR M SERAJUDDIN, UGC PROFESSOR; PROFESSOR SEKANDAR KHAN, VICE-CHANCELLOR OF EAST DELTA UNIVERSITY; PROFESSOR MAINUL ISLAM OF CHITTAGONG UNIVERSITY  AND THE RESIDENT EDITOR OF DAINIK PROTHOM ALO, MR. ABUL MOMEN. REVOLUTIONARY BENOD BEHARI CHOWDHURY IS EXPECTED TO  BE PRESENT TO BLESS THE OCCASION.
