[chottala.com] BD concedes Transit Corridor to India?

Thanks for info that Direct Action that had caused Calcutta Riots was ordered by Mr. Jinnah but Mr. Sohorwardy had come up with Independent Bengal idea too late though he was right.
British had never realized that they were carving out borders that would have a Pakistan with 70% of her population speaking Bengali despite inclusion of newly carved West Punjab.
They should have negotiated partition with Mr. Sohorwady because the Urdu Speaking people Mr. Jinnah was negotiating for were not going to emigrate to Pakistan.
Independent Bengal was a correct solution and proved right in 1971 but minus West Bengal. Pakistan occupied 14 States that were not given to Mr. Jinnah and this is why her population grew from 30% to 44% by 1970.
If Mr. Jinnah had not ordered Direct Action causing Riots, there was enough time and Viceroy had known that Jinnah would be dead in a couple of years, I think, he could have had Independent Bengal.
Lord Mount Baton wrote in his Autobiography that Great Britain had not wanted to divide India but he could not break Jinnah. Had he known, he had Tuberculosis at such a high level that he was going to die within a couple of years, he said, we were in no hurry and could wait.
If that would have happened, Mr. Sohorwardy could have convinced Bengali Hindus and Moslims to have an independent Bengal.
