[chottala.com] International Mother Language Day

Dear friends of Drishtipat DC,

Join us for a cultural extravaganza on February 19, 2011 to celebrate
UN International Mother Language Day!

According to the National Geographic, every 14 days, a language dies.
At least half of the world's languages are projected to disappear this
century. Through this multi-cultural event we will celebrate the
world's 7,000 languages and highlight the need for language
preservation.  Each year our event grows bigger and better, so don't
miss out on this entertaining cultural journey around the world!

Check out our facebook page to see clips from last year's event and to
see updates about this year's performers! http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=155864104465046

    When: Saturday, Feb 19, 2011, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Where: Historic 6th and I Synagogue, 600 I Street NW, Washington
DC (near Chinatown metro)
    Website:  http://www.drishtipat.org/dc/index.html

This event is FREE and open to the public.

Brought to you in partnership with Dhroopad, Cafe Luna and Skewers,
and the UN Association of the National Capitol Area.
