Dhaka, July 15 (UNB)-Criminal Investigation Department (CID) agents found involvement of Jamaat senior assistant secretary general Mohammad Qamaruzzaman and assistant secretary general Abdul Qader Molla in mass killing at Pallabi in 1971.

Both the leaders now on 5-day remand are being grilled by CID from Wednesday in connection with a mass killing case in Pallabi thana filed on January 25, 2008.

CID also formed a 10-member committee led by an Additional Police Super to monitor the case.

Senior Special Super of CID Sheikh Md Maruf Hasan stated this at a press briefing at the CID office Thursday.

He said other accused in the case will be arrested for the sake of investigating the mass killing case.

CID sources said, the detained Jammat Amir Matiur Rahman Nizami and secretary general Ali Hasan Mohammad Mujaheed were already shown arrest in the case.

Wounded freedom fighter Amir Hossain Molla filed the case with Pallabi police station on January 24 in 2008 accusing the Jamaat leaders of arson, loot and killing incidents occurred in Pallabi during the liberation war on April 24, 1971.
