In the same way I believe it is not the Col Faruk or Rashid  responsible for the death of Sheik Mujib but the then corrupt AL leaders who started torturing people of this country like Pakistani army and made the people believe that freedom fighting was  wrong. I respect Sheihk Mujib very much but I respect Ziaur Rahman more than Sheik Mujib because it is the Ziaur Rahman who made us to believe our freedom fighting was really a great war and freedom fighters are really great. He brought the country in discipline and gave hope of economic emancipation is possible. Ziaur Rahman was compelled to do some favor to Jamat and others anti-independent force because freedom fighters were not united and many of them were against him for nothing.  But again corruption of BNP people spcically his sons distorted his image as AL people distorted the image of Sheik Mujib. I would be very happy if real killer of Sheik Mujib and Ziaur Rahman are punished someday. Major Ziaur Rahman (THEN) did read out  the Proclaimation of Bangladesh but does that give him the same respect as Sk. Mujibur Rahman. Ziaur Rahman was a great and gallant Freedom Fighter, he had a great contribution to the nation but he was not the C-in-C of the Liberation army. Lest you forget, President Ziaur Rahman during his regime also executed most high ranking freedom fighters. Mujib turned my country into a one man rule, I hated when he formed the Baksal, I hated it when Newspapers were limited and journalists were forced to join the BAKSAL.
