Recently a news drew our attention about a Fake Peer Amjad Hossain recognised now as VHONDO PIR of Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj Balurchar union in village Nayagaon used to treat people in a way of Ayame Zaheliat type of treatment in this 21st century. Govt should take strong necessary measures to trace out these sorts of VHONDO PIRS as those VHONDO PIRS spread over different corners of Bangladesh doing such types of illegal unethical malpractices and make money by cheating our publics and used to play with the lives of our poor peoples of Bangladesh.
Not only that during the period of Hussain Mohd Ershad there were so many quacks given certificates to do medical practise after giving them three months training only by giving them idea of using some types of medicines in different diseases. They used to write doctor in their name with different types of abbreviations and degrees adding at the end of their name like FRSH, FACP, AMP, RMP and so on which also regarded as unethical. These quacks even do not hesitate to prescribe antibiotics and corticosteriods indiscriminately right and left without knowing its side effects, proper Pharmacological actions and thus playing with the lives of many innocent patients like that of VHONDO PIR of Sirajdikhan. In the western world it is offensive to use antibiotics and corticosteriods and its use are strongly prohibited until and unless proper laboratory investigations done and if those medicines at all required can only be allowed to prescribe by a qualified Medical Practitioner under proper supervision.
During Ershad time he allowed these quacks who used to have no basic knowledge and scientific background in medical science, by giving them three months training in medicine for which a qualified doctor requires 7 to 8 years vigorous study and rotator internship in the hospital for some years to become a perfect Medical Practitioner. Then after receiving a registration certificates from BMDC is allowed to do practise in medicine. Ershad was wrong and responsible to give those quacks who being devoid of any scientific knowledge to give such types of unlawful practising license to do Practice like a qualified Medical Practitioner, but himself used to run after a qualified doctor or used to go to Singapore, Bangkok or any other foreign countries for his personal medical check up and treatment every now and then.
