Look at the model at this website of a dhaka based FM radio station.
Did you see a picture of the model on the upper right corner of the page?
Do you recognize that the model is a caucasian blonde? The ethnicity of the model has nothing to do with the target audience of the radio station. The questions that I want to ask all of our readers is this:
What do you think is the reason behind choosing such a face for being the model for the station?
1. Do they want to save some money by not paying the actual model?
2. The management is simply incompetent.
We should emphasize that this may seem a very silly topic to many of our readers. However, this has very deep-rooted implications if responsbile people continue to do such absurd things in our public discourse.
If you thought some of the ideas are worth of your reading time, please forward it to others. If you have an ear to the columnists in regular traditional media, please forward it to them. If you have an ear to the journalists and news editors of the electronic media, discuss it with them. Hope they would look at the suggestions and give due diligence.
