[chottala.com] BBC misinformation: Professor ABM Nasir, please elaborate !

*BBC article containing misinformation: *
*Professor ABM Nasir, please elaborate !*

*Professor ABM Nasir*

*Although their are some factual errors but the spirit of the news item*
*seems to be ok.*

*"They include the leaders of Bangladesh 's largest party, Jamaat-e-Islami -
which at the time opposed the break-up of Pakistan . "*

*As we all know, Jamaat-e--Islami is not the Bangladesh's largest party, but
it *
*did oppose **the breakup of Pakistan and sided with occupation. Do you
disagree? *
**
*The truths are:*
**
*(1) To this day, the leaders of the Jamaat deny the war of liberation took
place *
*(2) Jamaat collaborated with the Occupation regime and it's military's
attrocities.*
*(3) Jamaat's youth militia Al-Bodor/ Al-Shams carried out most of the
killings of*
* innocent civillians during our Liberation War.*

*Admittedly, the BBC article is very poorly written. The writer Mark Dummett
*
*does not seem to have done proper homework before writing the article.*
**
*But other than that what are your points?*
**
*Why are you* *demanding removal of the article from its website?*
*Can you elaborate and analyze you contentions. Are you angry that the
article has*
*singled out Jamaat as the main collaborator of Pakistani Occupation Regime*
*in 1971?*

*A. Rahim Azad*
**
*PS: You may find some complacence in the Daily Sangram new item on *
*the issue:*
