As proud members of Ekattur'er golpo and the post-71 generation, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to you for supporting this year's event.

 

Ekattur'er Golpo aspires to celebrate Bangladesh 's rich history and diverse cultural heritage through creative expression. As members of the post 71 generation, we recognize that youth has been a powerful force in ushering social and political change. We seek to ignite the imagination of the new generation of Bangladeshis and Bangladeshi-Americans, transcend partisan politics and inspire active citizenship.

 

Each year the proceeds of Ekattue'er Golpo events are used to support various worthy causes. This year's proceeds will be donated to BRAC's Cyclone Sidr fund, the Liberation War Museum and a SATU project that ensures food security for 300 families in Bangladesh . We are excited to announce that we raised nearly $4000 this year, which in turn will be matched by our corporate sponsors. We will publish more detailed information on our website shortly.
