Also as a senior management, I was responsible for implementing company policy and safe, smooth and economical operation of the ship. i .c. controlling the consumption of stores, spares, lube oils, fuel oils, chemicals, gas etc. Also the additional responsibility was given to carry out the job of a safety officer on board. Hence conducting safety meeting, crew training, safety drills etc. was carried out to ensure overall safety awareness of the crew.
