They are REPLICA OF THE NOTORIOUS NAATSHI FORCE! So, on behalf of pro-liberation forces and peace loving people, I urge Bangladesh Govt. to ban the activities of Jamate Islam immediately and punish the culprits of the incident vigorously. They don't deserve to live in Bangladesh,rather should migrate to Pakistan , their beloved homeland !!

 (2) The nation of Pakistan was never meant to be an "Islamic" state by Jinnah, as per all his speehes pre and post partition, Yes it was made for Muslims but not an Islamic one, and to equate the two is utterly rubbish.

      নন্দিত সাহিত্যিক, সাংবাদিক ও রাজনীতিবিদ মরহুম আবুল মনসুর আহমদ জীবনের শেষ দিনটি পর্যন্ত আওয়ামী লীগের রাজনীতির সাথে জড়িত ছিলেন। তিনি আওয়ামী লীগের হয়ে মন্ত্রীত্ব করেছেন, দলকে দিক-নির্দেশনা দিয়েছেন; দল ও দলীয় নেতাদের অবিমৃষ্যকারিতার কঠোর সমালোচনা করেছেন এবং চাবুক মেরে বিভ্রান্ত নেতৃত্বকে সোজা করার চেষ্টা করেছেন।

      এই দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে স্বাধীনতা-উত্তর বাংলাদেশের প্রথম আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের আধিপত্য বান্ধব নীতি-বৈশিষ্ট্য এবং স্বাধীনতা-সার্বভৌমত্ব বিরোধী কর্মকান্ডকে তিনি সহজভাবে নিতে পারেননি এবং দলীয় প্লাটফর্ম ও সংবাদপত্রের কলাম যখন যেখানে সম্ভব হয়েছে তার তীব্র সমালোচনা করেছেন। 'বেশি দামে কেনা কম দামে বেচা আমাদের স্বাধীনতা' শীর্ষক পুস্তকটি আবুল মনসুর আহমদের একটি অমর কীর্তি। এই পুস্তকে সন্নিবেশিত ৪২টি প্রবন্ধের মধ্যে আওয়ামী রাজনীতি সন্নিবেশিত ৪২টি প্রবন্ধের মধ্যে আওয়ামী রাজনীতি আমাদের স্বাধীনতাকে কিভাবে বিপন্ন করে তুলেছিল তার সুস্পষ্ট অভিব্যক্তি ফুটে উঠেছে। প্রচুর রক্তপাত ও আত্মত্যাগের বিনিময়ে পাওয়া আমাদের এই স্বাধীনতাকে জনাব আবুল মনসুর আহমদ প্রাণের চেয়েও বেশি ভালবাসতেন। আর তার যে স্বাধীনতার কনসেপ্ট ছিল তা শুধু ভৌগোলিক স্বাধীনতার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ ছিল না। তিনি পরাধীনতাকে মনে প্রাণে ঘৃণা করতেন। তার দৃষ্টিতে রাষ্ট্রীয় পরাধীনতা দৃষ্টিগ্রাহ্য। কিন্তু কৃষ্টিক বা সাংস্কৃতিক পরাধীনতা ধরাছোঁয়া ও দৃষ্টির ঊর্ধ্বে। তিনি বলতেন আমরা রাষ্ট্রীয় পরাধীনতার বিরুদ্ধে রক্তক্ষয়ী সংগ্রাম করেছি। অর্থনৈতিক পরাধীনতার বিরুদ্ধে কেউ কেউ সমাজবাদী হয়েছেন। কিন্তু সাংস্কৃতিক স্বাধীনতার জন্য আমাদের কোন চেতনার লক্ষণই দেখা যায় না, যুদ্ধ করাতো দূরের কথা। বাংলাদেশ হবার পর একশ্রেণীর রাজনীতিবিদ ও সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মী এবং বুদ্ধিজীবী স্বাধীন বাংলার অভ্যুদয়কে অভিনন্দিত করতে গিয়ে অতি উৎসাহে বলতে শুরু করেন যে, ১৯৪৭ সালে যে মানদন্ডের ভিত্তিতে দেশ বিভাগ তথা পাকিস্তান হিন্দুস্তান হয়েছিল তা তথা দ্বিজাতিতত্ত্ব ব্যর্থ প্রমাণিত হয়েছে। যারা এ ধারণায় বিশ্বাস করতেন জনাব আবুল মনসুর আহমদ তাদের তীব্র সমালোচনা করে বলেছিলেন যে তারা আসলে স্বাধীনতার বন্ধু তথা পক্ষশক্তি নয়, শত্রু। দ্বিজাতিতত্ত্বের ভিত্তিতে পাকিস্তান হয়েছিল বলেই পূর্ব পাকিস্তান তথা বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান ভূখন্ডকে নিয়ে আমরা স্বাধীন সার্বভৌম একটি দেশ গঠন করতে পেরেছি। যদি দ্বিজাতিতত্ত্ব মেনে নেয়া না হয় তাহলে তার যৌক্তিক পরিণতি দাঁড়ায় অবিভক্ত ভারতের অংশ হয়ে যাওয়া। সেক্ষেত্রে আমাদের স্বতন্ত্র, স্বাধীন ও সার্বভৌম অস্তিত্ব আর থাকে না। জনাব আবুল মনসুর আহমদ তার রচিত ''শেরে বাংলা হইতে বঙ্গবন্ধু'' শীর্ষক পুস্তকে এ কথাটি পরিষ্কারভাবে তুলে ধরেছেন। জনাব আবুল মনসুর আহমদ ১৯৭৯ সালের ১৮ মার্চ ইন্তিকাল করেছেন। ইতোমধ্যে গঙ্গা যমুনার অনেক পানি প্রবাহিত হয়েছে। স্বাধীনতার ৪০ বছর অতিক্রম করেছে। অনেকেই ধরে নিয়েছিলেন যে, দ্বিজাতিতত্ত্বের ভিত্তিতে বিভক্ত ও স্বাধীনতাপ্রাপ্ত বাংলাদেশের যৌক্তিকতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তোলার বিষয়টির সুরাহা হয়েছে। কিন্তু জাতির দুর্ভাগ্য যে, আন্তর্জাতিক চক্রান্ত, ভারতীয় অর্থ ও পরামর্শে পরিচালিত অাঁতাতের নির্বাচনে আওয়ামী লীগ নেতৃত্বাধীন মহাজোট সরকার ২০০৯ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর এই বিষয়টি পুনরায় আলোচনার বিষয়বস্তু হয়ে উঠেছে এবং ১৯৪৭ সালে ধর্ম ও ধর্মানুসারীদের সংখ্যাধিক্যের ভিত্তিতে দেশ বিভাগের যৌক্তিকতা ও দূরদর্শিতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তোলা হচ্ছে। সংবিধানে ৭ম সংশোধনীর বিরুদ্ধে দায়েরকৃত এক মামলায় রায় দিতে গিয়ে একজন বিচারক ১৯৪৭ সালে ধর্মের ভিত্তিতে ভারত বিভাগকে অযৌক্তিক আখ্যা দিয়ে বলেছেন যে, এ বিভাগ মানুষ মেনে নেয়নি। তিনি যখন এই রায়টি দিচ্ছিলেন তার কয়েক মাস আগে জুলাই মাসের ২২ তারিখে বাংলাদেশ ও পশ্চিমবাংলার ২১টি জেলা নিয়ে হিন্দুল্যান্ড গঠনের উদ্দেশ্যে বঙ্গভূমি আন্দোলনের নেতারা বেনাপোল সীমান্তের ১০ কিলোমিটার দূরে বনগাঁওয়ে একটি বিশাল সমাবেশের আয়োজন করেছিল। বাংলাদেশের তরফ থেকে এর বিরুদ্ধে কোনো প্রতিবাদ করা হয়েছিল বলে পত্র-পত্রিকায় কোনো সংবাদ প্রকাশিত হয়নি। বঙ্গভূমি আন্দোলন আর ধর্মভিত্তিক ভারত বিভাজন বিরোধী প্রচারণার মূল লক্ষ্য অনুধাবন করা সম্ভবত খুব কঠিন কোনো কাজ নয়।

      বাংলাদেশ সরকারের একজন সিনিয়র মন্ত্রী এবং বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক সৈয়দ আশরাফুল ইসলাম কয়েক মাস আগে ঘোষণা করেছিলেন যে, তিনি হিন্দুও নন, মুসলমানও নন। এতে দেশবাসী হতবাক হয়েছিলেন। সম্প্রতি তিনি আর একটি ঘোষণা দিয়ে পত্রিকার শিরোনাম হয়েছেন। ভারতের সঙ্গে বন্ধুত্বের প্রসঙ্গ টেনে পত্রিকায় প্রকাশিত খবরানুযায়ী তিনি বলেছেন যে, আমরা একই দেশের একই ধর্মের এবং একই সংস্কৃতির অনুসারী। তার এই বক্তব্যে দেশের মানুষ উৎকণ্ঠা প্রকাশ করেছেন। কেননা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে তিনি হিন্দু অথবা মুসলমান না হতে পারেন কিন্তু এ দেশের ৯০ ভাগ মানুষ মুসলমান। তাদের ধর্ম এবং সংস্কৃতি ভারতের বৃহত্তর জনগোষ্ঠীর ধর্ম সংস্কৃতি থেকে আলাদা। মুসলিম অধ্যুষিত একটি দেশের মন্ত্রী হয়ে তৌহিদপন্থী ৯০ ভাগ মুসলমানকে তিনি ভারতীয় মুশরিকদের সঙ্গে বিলীন করে দিতে পারেন না। এদেশের মানুষ ধর্মীয় স্বাধীনতায় বিশ্বাস করে। হিন্দুরা হিন্দুদের ধর্মীয় চর্চা করুক এবং মুসলমানরা তাদের ধর্মীয় অনুশাসন মেনে চলুক এটাই তারা চায়। জনাব আশরাফের এক ধর্ম, এক সংস্কৃতি, এক দেশনীতি মেনে নিলে স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের অস্তিত্ব আর থাকে না। তাকে ভারতের সাথে এক হয়ে যেতে হয়। এ ধরনের চিন্তার মানুষ আরও রয়েছে। সম্প্রতি আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের জন্য আমাকে ডাকা হয়েছিল। জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের এক পর্যায়ে জনাব মতিউর রহমান নামে ট্রাইব্যুনালের একজন প্রসিকিউটর/তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তার একটি তথ্য আমাকে হতবাক করেছে। তিনি আমাকে দ্বিজাতি তত্ত্ব এবং তার যৌক্তিকতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করেছেন এবং তাকে শুধু অসার নয় মানবতা বিরোধী অপরাধের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত করারও চেষ্টা করেছেন। পূর্ববঙ্গের পাকিস্তানভুক্তির ওপর প্রশ্ন তুলে তিনি বলতে চেষ্টা করেছেন যে, চৌধুরী রহমত আলীর পাকিস্তান ফর্মূলায় পূর্ববাংলা ছিল না, তিনি বেগমগঞ্জের  জয়াগে গান্ধী আশ্রমের প্রসঙ্গ টেনে রামগঞ্জের মুসলমান কর্তৃক গান্ধীর ছাগল জবাইয়ের ঘটনার উল্লেখ করে বৃহত্তর নোয়াখালী ও বর্তমান ফেনী জেলার একটি থানার (উপজেলা) নাম ছাগলনাইয়া রাখার একটি তথ্য (?) আমাকে দিয়েছেন। তার দৃষ্টিতে আমার নিজ জেলা বৃহত্তর নোয়াখালীর রামগঞ্জ, রায়পুর, লক্ষ্মীপুর, রামগতি, সুধারাম, সেনবাগ, পরশুরাম প্রভৃতি উপজেলা হিন্দু নাম প্রমাণ করে যে, এসব এলাকা হিন্দু মেজরিটি ছিল। দেশ বিভাগের আগে মুসলমানরা বেশিরভাগ হিন্দুদের মেরে-কেটে এবং ভারতে তাড়িয়ে দিয়ে এলাকাকে মুসলিম মেজরিটি বানিয়ে পাকিস্তানের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছে। গান্ধী জয়াগ এসেছিলেন শান্তির দূত হয়ে। তার এই তথ্যটি শুনে ঐতিহাসিকদের কেউ যদি আত্মহত্যা করেন আমি বিস্মিত হবো না। তার কথায় আমি বিস্মিত হয়েছি এবং এদেশের ভবিষ্যত নিয়ে উদ্বিগ্ন না হয়ে পারিনি। যে দেশের মানুষ নিজ দেশের ইতিহাস ঐতিহ্য জানে না, বিশেষ করে যারা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও নীতি-নির্ধারণী পদে আছেন, সে দেশ টিকে থাকতে পারে না। এরা দেশের মানুষকে বিদেশের গোলামে পরিণত করতে পারেন।
