It is observed some media & so called some democracy peaople are creating pressure on CTG to conduct MP election as per Road Map.

It is not good & wise work..

Becauses

The most duty of CTG is to conduct fair & neutral  MP Election

for electing efficient fair MPs. 

Now without making corruption free society

How can conduct  CTG  fair & neutral Election to get fair MPs??

Without doing trial of all kind corruptions including cross fires, war criminals chandabhagi & other offences

How can build  CTG corruption free society??

If Judges are not honest & lawful quality persons for doing trial  CTG requires to reform in Judical department to get quality honest lawful Judges.

And until & unless trial of all kind corruption works are finsished & until & unless efficient honest quality politicians are created  CTG must not conduct MP Election.

For smoothness & for good honest local administration CTG is needed to conduct as soon as possible of non political neutral local body election

Speakers tell consultative meeting

Participants at a consultative meeting on the proposed police reform ordinance in Cox's Bazar yesterday said 'crossfire' and inhuman torture in police custody should be made punishable offence.

About a hundred people drawn from different sections of the society took part in the meeting, presided over by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police at Chittagong Range AKM Shahidul Haq.

The meeting was part of similar meetings across the country which aim at assimilating popular views into the proposed reforms.

Scores of people have been killed in crossfire since March, 2004.

Most of the participants viewed that 'crossfire' is against the existing laws and religion also does not permit this.

They held that the political party in power would tend to take advantage of 'crossfire' if the practice is not made a punishable offence.

Similarly, torture of the accused on remand in a bid to extract confessional statement as desired by the police should also be made punishable offence.

The participants also suggested revoking Section 54 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). They said detention under the Special Powers Act violates the basic rights of the people guaranteed by the constitution.

They lauded the government move to reform the age-old police law and called for making the police force friendly to the people.

The warning by Grand Mufti Shaikh Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Shaikh comes just days after police found an audio message from Al Qaida No 2 Ayman Al Zawahiri exhorting his followers to collect money for needy families in Afghanistan and Pakistan. "It is bad to give funds to just anyone who asks and to parties with shabby reputations or unknown backing," the mufti said in a statement carried by the daily Al Okaz, which is deemed close to the government. "It's even worse to give it to an organisation that's known for its evil and for hurting Islam and its followers," he added in an apparent reference to Al Qaida, which has carried out attacks on foreigners in Saudi Arabia. Though the Saudi government has waged a crackdown on the group since 2003, individual citizens are widely believed to be supporting it and allied organisations through private donations to Islamic charities. Many reports carry evidence that private Saudi money has been funnelled into known terrorist groups, prompting pressures on the Saudi government to monitor the traffic of charitable funds. Some US lawmakers had also insisted that oil money from the royal family itself has been diverted into numerous nonprofit organisations supporting terror activity. Young 'zealots' The Interior Ministry found Al Zawahiri's message on the memory card of a mobile phone of one of 28 militants whose arrest was announced on March 3 for allegedly being tasked with rebuilding Al Qaida's network in Saudi Arabia. In October, the government-appointed mufti asked wealthy people to exercise vigilance on where they donate their money. He also warned young "religious zealots" against becoming tools in the hands of foreign groups "which play with their feelings in the name of holy war".

DHAKA (Reuters) - National carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines said on Monday it agreed to buy eight Boeing (BA.N: Quote, Profile, Research) aircraft worth nearly $1.3 billion as it looks to modernize its small fleet and fight off competition from local rivals.

Boeing had offered to supply the airline with four twin-aisle 777-300s by 2013 and four 787-8s Dreamliners by 2017, Biman Chairman Mahbub Jamil told a news conference.

"A deal will be signed with Boeing by March 15 as we need the aircraft to maintain our flight schedule," Jamil said without giving further details.

Biman was forced to halt its flights to New York, Paris, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Brussels, Yangon and Mumbai in 2006 due to a shortage of funds and aircraft.

Biman, which will fund the purchase through bank loans, plans to lease few aircraft to plug its scheduling gap before receiving the new planes from Boeing, Jamil said.

The loss-making airline is also reviewing a separate offer for planes from Europe's Airbus (EAD.PA: Quote, Profile, Research). "Airbus will make a presentation within the next 10 days," Jamil said.

Biman became a public limited company in July, still 100 percent state-owned, as part of a rescue plan by the country's army-backed interim government.

It flies 19 international routes with a fleet of 12 aircraft, but faces competition from four smaller, local private airlines, one of which has extended its operations to include regional routes connecting Bangladesh capital Dhaka to Kuala Lampur, Singapore, Delhi and Dubai.

Bangladesh and India have recently agreed to increase flight frequencies between the two countries.
