[chottala.com] Re: Bangladesh Govt plans curbs on indigenous people’s rights

Dear Mr. Aslam,
Will you please explain to us as to what exactly do you
mean by indegenous people. I feel that we Bengalis are the indegenous
people of Bangladesh as Bengalis have been living in this part of
the world for over five thousand years. People you are trying to
refer as indegenous people have been living here for far less than
one thousand years. These small ethnic monorities have emigrated to
the hill districts of Bangladesh nearly 500 to 600 years ago. Please
explain why should you call them indegenous people.
