Dear All,

I am inviting you to a Candle Light Vigil to commemorate my Father's life as a labor rights leader on Friday, September 7th, 2012 at 7pm.  This September will mark 3 years and 9 months of the Assassination of my father, Nurul Islam (President TUC and Coordinator of the 14-party Grand Alliance) and my only brother, Tamohar in 2008.  

 

They were killed in our apartment in Dhaka, days before the national election in December 2008.  My mother and I never got to see them or hear their last words before they left us on 3rd and 4th of December. My mother is in deep shock and our grief is endless. But we decided to seek justice and pursue a fair investigation that would reveal the truth truth behind this Atrocious Killing.

 

This candle light vigil is not only to raise our voice against political violence but also to bring back our trust on our country's legal system and pursue justice for all.
