[chottala.com] Student Politics in BD - Why it shouldn't be banned!

Asslamualaikum.

I usually refrain from initiating political discussion in any of the forums I'm associating with. I merely response when I see severe injustice is done by any of our forum writers on their writings. But i will make this one as exception. As an ex Chittagong University (CU) student, I was saddened by the death of two CU students yesterday.

The other day i mentioned to our ex CU VC Mannan sir about the student politics in Bangladesh. Yesterday's demise students belong to Chattro Shibir. Tomorrow may be someone else will die in campus fighting. He might belong to Chattro League or Chattro Dal or Chattro Union or Chattro Front or Chattro Moitri or an independent student who has nothing to do with politics.

Today Shibir will bring out procession for their martyr comrades, tomorrow some other party will.

The bottom line is, no matter what party they belongs to, they are the precious SON/BROTHER of a family. He/She might be the only hope that family has. He/She might have the life changing potentiality. Not to mention, what those dead students family going through right now. God forbid, if you and I had to go through the same pain as theirs.

I would like to ask our respected readers and writers of these forums, how long we should wait to stop this unnecessary killing, how long we should be allowing our students to be killed in the name of so called student politics. Isn't it time to start a peaceful and civic movement to ban student politics in Bangladesh!

Thanks for your time to read my posting. May Allah grant all the deceased students the highest place in Zannah and may Allah save the current students in Bangladesh from political killing.

Helal

PS: Dear reader, before responding my posting, pls read the message I'm trying to convey. We should come up with strong discussions why student politics should be completely banned in Bangladesh. If we can't achieve anything good from all these readings and writings, then we all are simply wasting time. Let aside our political differences and let start saving life wherever way we can. I know we can't stop all the killings in Bangladesh. But we can certainly eliminate some, by banning our vicious so called student politics.
