Hello Everybody,
I am happy to inform you that my Bengalee book "Ami Bangladesher Dalal Bolchi" originally published by Somoy Prokashon in 2002 is now available online at http://www.bdagent.blogspot.com/.
The articles, commentaries and debate were written between 1995 to 1999 in perhaps the most tumultuous phase of my life and therefore those that haven't read my Bengalee writing before may find some of the contents, shocking, abrasive, combative, and even extremely bruising in some respect. But that is the way life is and I have always believed in my conviction, and have often been convicted for my belief. It is also very important that one should live his life on his own terms and on his own choosing, otherwise life as such because totally useless...worthless.
As has been many ironies in my life, so has been this book. Despite it being received favorably by readers, specially the young who are inspired and intelligent and after brisk business, the book disappeared from shelves. For reason unknown the book is proscribed in Bangladesh and the publisher despite my many request over the years never re-published the same. There were no reviews of this book, no critique and the SILENCE from our mainstream media was in one word DEAFENING!
Life is really too short to harp back on the past and I thus decided that this book should be available online. Perhaps now is the right time because so many Bengalee speakers have access to the Internet in Bangladesh and millions overseas. I eagerly look forward to your reactions either through comments in the Blog or via email.
