nascent democracies
AMM Shawkat Ali
The Election Commission, in its collective wisdom, thought it fit to invoke the infamous doctrine in support of its decision to call one faction of the BNP to hold dialogue to the exclusion of the other. Such invocation of an obsolete doctrine appears utterly irrelevant. Legal experts tend to hold more or less the same view. The well-being of the people cannot be served if the door to dialogue on electoral reforms is shut for some and kept open for others
Alhamdulillah - All praise to be of Allah
