The political situation in Burma may be returning to normal, the Southeast Asian country's Rohingya Muslim minority people still face several abuses, including:
1) Required government permission to marry.
2) Restriction to have only two children per family.
3) Victims of modern day slavery - Forced labor.
4) Land confiscation & restriction on movement.
5) Revocation of citizenship – making them currently stateless.
Even the Burmese democratic forces and the international community are not addressing the plight of Rohingya's and that the United States should make their situation a priority.
