Humayun Faridee is dead

Dhaka, Feb 13 (bdnews24.com) — Humayun Faridee, the popular actor who graced television dramas, movies and theatres with his versatile performances, died at his daughter's Dhanmondi residence on Monday at the age of 60.

Renowned filmmaker and drama director Nasiruddin Yousuf Bachchu, who patronised the start of Faridee's career on stage around the eighties, told bdnews24.com : "He died in the early hours of Monday in Dhanmondi. Faridee was ill for quite a few days and was even admitted to a hospital around two weeks back."

Faridi was born on May 29, 1952 and studied economics at Jahangirnagar University. His acting career started off in the theater.

He acted in numerous television dramas and was in Bangladeshi cinema for over a decade.
