RE: [chottala.com] Re: Government administration and road transport authority are responsible for killing many people, Tarek Masud and Misuk Moni in road accidents

Dear dina khan,

I quite agree with you as you mentioned about "Government administration and road transport authority have responsible duty" to educate the systems of traffic rules to be followed and to be thaught to the drivers, to our people and to teach the children by including in their school education courses about for their safety so as to avoid any traffic accidents.

I like to mention here in this regard, once I was having a walk with my school going grandson of age 6 and 1/2 years here in Canada on the footpath. Suddenly my grandson stopped me even on the footpath as there was a signal of STOP sign by the side of the footpath on the main road and that was also for the vehicles only. He told me to wait for a minute and did not allow me to walk further as there was a STOP signal. I told him it was for the vehicles and not for us and moreover we were walking on the footpath. He did not allow me to proceed further even on the footpath because of that STOP signal as it was taught by their Canadian Teacher in their school.

Side by side I like to give an example of the traffic systems followed in our country. Once I was walking in Dhaka Boro Mogbazar area, I saw bus and other light and heavy vehicles after denying Red signal light on the road are proceeding as it is for sometimes, and if any police caught them on the road, by giving 5 or 10 taka in the hands of that police secretly they are proceeding further without any hindrance by denying the traffic rules.

Do you think our Bangladesh Government administration and road transport authority are not aware of these sorts of mismanagement which are going on in our country every now and then. To whom you are advising these?

Dr. Siraj Uddowllah.

Everyday many people are being killed in road accidents.

Government administration and road transport authority are responsible for killing  people Tarek Masud and Misuk Moni  in road accidents...

Because

The moral duty of Government Administration and road transport authority are

1)  To make safe roads and

2)  to save people's life

Government administration and road transport authority have responsible duty to teach the drivers and to teach the children in school education courses about

i)              Road safety

ii)             Driving rules and  driving courses

iii)            Traffics rules and Road codes

iv)           Road signals

v)            Vehicles speed and  distance from front vehicles

vi)           Vehicles to follow the 2 second rules according to speed.

Also the road transport authority have duty to provide on road watch dog for watching whether vehicles follow the rules of traffics  and to provide road side Traffic Signal Sign Boards indicating

a)    Vehicle's Speed

b)    Places where Vehicles can  over take

c)    Places  where Vehicles can not  overtake and

d)    Warning where  road condition in danger

It is a regretful matter that Bangladesh Government administration and road transport authority are not following any discipline rules of work schedules neglecting miserly its normal duties...

As a result every day many people are being killed due to road accidents which are happened for

a)    bad roads and

b)    Driving vehicles by unskilled drivers...
