Re: [chottala.com] Barrister Moudud faces trouble in BNP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fascism in the BNP:Target Maudud Ahamed
Abid Bahar

Maudud Ahamed is not only a politician in the  present BNP party, he has been a historian as well. If Mudud Ahamed said something in the past praising Sheikh Mujib, it was in his role of a historian; it was about Mujib's revolutionary contributions in the birth of Bangladesh but until 7th March after which he began to negotiate with the Pakistani rulers.  In the pre 7th March Mujib's glorious history Maudud is right that Zia's position is much lower than Mujib. However, like many of us who were the former Chatro League members, but disappointed at Mujib's authoritarian rule Maudud Ahamed, the historian was also disappointed after the independence of Bangladesh. This must have led to his change in heart about Mujib.
BNP condemning the historian Maudud is following a dangerous path of hero-worshipping that had been originally introduced by Mujib .
In condemning Maudud, BNP's fascist elements following a Mujib principle perhaps unknowingly but dearly for their love of Zia. Hero-worshipping is a dangerous disease in fascism and a serious problem in the AL, now spreading in the BNP among the sycopants who worship none other than Zia. I hope the more enlightened BNP leaders instead of condemning Maudud the historian will appreciate him,  the politician and a truly reformed Bangladeshi.
